  1. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 03:35 AM) just like last year if I'm lucky there will be a rain delay so I can catch the end of the game when I get home from school Last year was crazy, I was feeling the effects of that night for about a week. It's also fun being like 1 of 7 people left in the stadium when the game ends.
  2. After a ridiculous night, this is fantastic news to wake up to. HUGE
  3. Wite, this team isn't losing 85-95, I can guarantee you that and we wont finish in 4th. Outside of that, who knows...I do believe our division is highly overrated going into this year and I think 91-92ish games will win it and that'd be around my guess for how many games these guys win.
  4. QUOTE(whitesox07champs @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 07:49 PM) Man thats just ignorant. I never said they dont count. Of course they do but tell me, last year with the start that the sox had and the start that the twins had. Which games counted more the White sox april wins or the Twins wins in September? I dont know about you, but from what I saw the Twins were a much better team when IT COUNTED. If you wanna be a dumb fan who cant see things the way they are thats youre problem. But sometimes we gotta look at the bigger picture. What the hell?
  5. QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 06:24 PM) our new beer pong table I'm going to own that thing tonight and then paint a giant Saluki on midcourt after I win.
  6. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 09:57 AM) Yes. Just find any article that has KW talking about Floyd this spring. Its almost laughable the excuses he has for him. So let him make excuses. Maybe he doesn't want to make Gavin think the organization has already given up on him after one spring training.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 12:08 PM) I can only imagine a team with Eckstein and Erstad as the 1-2 hitters. Grinders! That 2002 Angels squad was quite the joke. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 11:51 AM) I'm sorry, I stopped reading when you said Tad Iguchi is replaceable and Buehrle isn't. Right now, it seems like the exact opposite. We have guys in the minors who could somewhat replace Buehrle. We have no one and there's no one in FA who is going to be as good as Iguchi. Have people seriously soured on Buehrle this freakin much after one bad season? I know the guy was bad last year but that doesn't erase the fact that he's been pretty damn good for 6 years. If he pitches like he did in 06 then he's obviously replaceable, if he pitches like he did anytime before that, he's going to be hard to replace. *Awaits the "he doesn't throw 95" post*

  9. Wait 5 more days and you'll have your answers.
  10. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 06:20 PM) And cuse very much deserved to be in ahead of a couple teams... You can certainly make an argument for them, but Boeheim only has himself to blame for them not getting in.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) 4-0 D Backs, top 4th inning, 5 hits, 5 walks, 1 HR given up by Danks. Oh fantastic.
  12. Just got back from class, how's Danks looking?
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 10:39 PM) It'll be Aardsma and Logan, although it's an absolute joke that Aardsma is making this team over Haeger. Why exactly?
  14. I'd throw everything and anything at Zambrano.
  15. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 11:05 PM) Get over it, he SUCKED last year offensively but was much better in the 2nd half and was basically the same offensive player as Mackowiak in the 2nd half but still couldnt get consistant ab's though he's 100 times better than Mack defensively Fixed with a cool run on sentence.
  16. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 10:51 PM) riddle me this - who was that guy starting in CF opening day last season? Who was the guy they gave the job to at the beginning of ST last year? I would like to call a friend.
  17. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 10:10 PM) I love to make horrible comparisons, so I'll make another - Chase Utley didn't start until his 3rd year in the league. Well deal, hopefully he becomes another Chase Utley. I just think Brian needs ab's and I don't believe he's going to get them in a reserve role here. Hopefully I'm wrong, the way Brian has been handled overall has just pissed me off, that's all.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) At least with Anderson on the roster, we can have an elite defensive replacement. With as much as this situation has been messed up, at least he made it and not Terrero. At this point, I guess I get overly happy about anything I can make into a positive. I see where you are coming from but I absolutely hate how BA has been handled by this team. We honestly gave him 0 shot to succeed and if he is a back up here, he'd obviously be a great defensive replacement but it almost signals to me that the organization has completely given up on him as a starter.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 09:51 PM) http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Looks like Anderson is going to make the team. That's great to hear, as going down to the minors would have been pointless. Also interesting to see that KW is concerned about the velocity of some of our pitchers. Looks like last year's story might be back again this year. I'm going to disagree with you fathom. I think we've almost thrown in the towel with Brian already, BA needs consistent ab's and he's not going to get them here as a back up imo.
  20. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 26, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) I'm wondering if it's possible to get Anderson 400 ABs this year. Or atleast 300. Hopefully he can out grind Prancer.
