QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Mar 23, 2007 -> 10:28 PM) I just saw this via Tivo, he needs to do something about that hat. I've said it before but that thing needs to be shot and killed.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
I'm still too depressed to comment on last nights game. For now, I'm just going to say: We need to extend Chris(duh), if we do so, then this program is only going to keep improving, if we dont...then I don't want to think about what happens. Also, I'm hoping Jamaal gets a shot in the NBA. He's a plus defender, he's quick as all hell and when he wants to, he can score at any time.- Would you make this trade with the Phillies ?
Don't mess with the bullpen.- 2007 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 10:52 PM) D'Angelo Jimenez? Ya, now that you said that, I'm about 95 percent sure that's right.- 2007 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 10:43 PM) No Damaso.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
I'm absolutely heart broken. I can't even take this right now.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
No prediction from me on SIU-KU. UCLA wins by 7.- The Midwest Bracket (St. Louis)
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 22, 2007 -> 10:12 AM) I bet they try to make this a fast paced game so you guys dont get your defensive scheme set. The word duh comes to mind.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 09:07 PM) Good news if true. Read Bone sprained a knee in practice. Hope they show Kansas/SIU out here in AZ but I fear Texas A&M will be on. Unfortunately, he isn't going to be available, just great. So Matt is definitely going to try and play, we'll see how ready he is. If he's in a lot of pain, we're going to have one hell of a short bench tomorrow.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
Nothing is 100 percent sure yet, BUT it looks like Matt will play.- The Midwest Bracket (St. Louis)
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 21, 2007 -> 10:57 AM) Kanasas is too much of an offensive team for SIU to handle. Granted SIU has great defense they havent seen this kind of offense they are about to play all year, closest thing they saw was prolly Butler. Honestly, SIU on offense, they look lost lol, its horrible to watch, its like your pick up games in public gyms. Their defense is going to have to win them the game here and have a hot hand shooting. Rock Chalk will be fine. Sorry had to restore confidence in you to jynx kansas because i got siu winning lol. Butler actually averages more points per possession than KU. Now obviously KU is a completely different type of offense and they're much more explosive but it's not like we haven't played good offenses before. As for our offense, I know people have a hard time believing that a team that doesn't average 80 points a game can actually be a solid offensive team, but we are indeed an efficient offensive club. We're not great by any stretch of the imagination on offense but our offensive 'woes' are very over stated. We're an above average shooting team, we're above average in points per possession and we're in the top 25 percent of college basketball in 3 point shooting. We're not "lost" on offense(though earlier in the year we had issues with zones), we just run a slow down offense which obviously confuses some people.- The Midwest Bracket (St. Louis)
QUOTE(Jimbo @ Mar 20, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) as SIU fans will give me when they beat KU on Thurs. Stop trying your reverse jinx crap. If we do indeed win on Thursday, I wouldn't give you a hard time, I can tell you that for sure.- The South Bracket (San Antonio)
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 04:23 PM) Besides all off the defensive arguments in your post, this is what I would like to point out. They really arent as young as people really think. They start 2 freshmen, yes, but also 3 vets, including a 5th year. The game should be close, and the winner will be decided on whose part of the game shines more. Will it be OSU's speed and post play, or Tenn's perimeter game. And Oden ups the average age of that team anyways, right?- The West Bracket (San Jose)
QUOTE(HawkDJ @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 02:11 PM) Word Holy hell, where the hell did you come from? QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 01:05 PM) Shouldn't you be on your way to Cali right now? I should walk there. Airfare is insane right now. If you'd just give me the winnings from the pool right now, then maybe I could afford it.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
Protect the ball and dictate the pace of the game, that's what we have to do and we'll have a shot. KU is obviously talented as hell but we CAN win this game. Our style might be just the thing to frusterate them, we shall see. GO DAWGS!! P.S. Jimbo, I fully expect you to be cheering for the Salukis in this one.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 02:54 AM) BECAUSE I NEED MORE FAZEKAS So I got a question: How come Steve is actually still alive in the pool?- The West Bracket (San Jose)
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 19, 2007 -> 01:29 AM) I'm shocked you didn't go to BW3 or someplace with all the feeds. You knew they'd jump around games, which they should. Chicago isn't exactly the SIU hotbed that would require exclusive, no cut-in coverage of the game. The vast majority of people up here want to see the close games. You know I can't watch these games with a lot of people, I'd probably get arrested. I honestly wasn't positive that they'd hop around because I know they don't do that for Illinois games and they didn't go to the UK-Nova game while ours was going on Friday. Even after all of that, why the hell would they take our game off with 3 minutes to go to see the Memphis-Nevada game that just started? Whatever, it's done, I'm happy now.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
It honestly amazes me how some of these anaylsts have jobs. Digger says SIU is going to play a lot of zone againt KU, and I lol'd because he just embarrasses himself more and more every time he speaks.- The East Bracket (East Rutherford)
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 06:04 PM) Guess we should've took your word... : / Hey, I'm not always a complete moron.- The East Bracket (East Rutherford)
USC just pummeling Texas.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 04:14 PM) The only way you are guaranteed to see the game you want is to go to a bar or pay for the DirecTV package or be directly in a team's market. If you are not getting the constant feed, they will switch back and forth. The only way you can get the constant feed is be in the right spot. Not sure how far SIU's area would reach to get the constant feed, but if you are in Chicago that's not going to be close enough. Now freakin relax, they have the game in hand. Congrats and smile a bit! A 15-pt win is a nice win. Bring on Kansas, eh? Haha man, I can never ever relax during games, it's just how I am. I'm pretty sure my mom hates me now, but oh well. I'm sooooo happy though now, bring on KU or UK. Matt could be back for next weekend too, we shall see, but for now, w00000t.- The West Bracket (San Jose)
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 18, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) Hop on NCAA-MMOD. It's a bit behind the TV so you should catch what you missed. I tried dude, trust me. It's blacked out because it's our game, unreal. But, we've got this, w000000000000000000t. Sweet 16, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- The West Bracket (San Jose)
Now it's off again, I can't believe this. We can't watch the last 3 minutes because we need to watch the first 5 of Memphis-Nevada? - 3/23/06 Sox @ Rockies 3:05 CT
