  1. QUOTE(cuddlyboy26 @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) Would Crede want to be a backup to Fields though? Uh, Joe has become one of the better 3b's in the league, he's not backing up anyone.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) I don't know about that. He could very well be better than Brandon. I like Brandon but he's still got a long ways to go, mainly because the White Sox completely wasted the 2006 season on him. I disagree, I'd take Brandon over Ervin but that's jmo. I do think pretty highly of Santana though.
  3. I'd LOVE to have Ervin Santana on the Sox. He's still young and he's going to get better. He's not going to be as good as McCarthy but he's going to be a very solid starter, hell he's already pretty damn good. Like I said about Michael Young, Santana will be good no matter where he plays
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) I recall KW sounding pretty confident about telling Jon or Contreras adios during last winter too. I don't have much reason to hold him entirely to his word, especially the day after our season ended. It's one of his ways of negotiating.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) I'd rather not have to watch Ozuna play 60 games in the outfield again this season. Also, I don't think Dellucci is Ozzie's type of player. If you read everything that Ozzie is saying in the press, it's quite obvious he's referring to a specific player. Hopefully Kenny doesn't listen to Ozzie at all this offseason. I hope Kenny has his own idea, and doesn't take much imput from Oz. Edited for the fact I don't want to start another argument I've had too many times already.
  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) I thought the playoffs were not going to happen this year I'm not watching, doesn't mean I can't make a prediction.
  7. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) Thank you for jinxing them. I'm not trying to jinx anyone. I couldn't care less who wins the world series. It's going to be the Tigers though.
  8. Greg Walker is the least of our problems. We can fire him and then when the next hitting coach comes in and our hitters continue to do the same thing, we can fire him as well.
  9. Who cares. Ozzie has made brutal decisions all year but this isn't one of them.
  10. LOL so McCarthy is either going to be trade for Crawford or Broxton? No difference in value there, none at all.
  11. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) Iowa got OWNED!!! OSU is THE best team in the country hands down. I agree that OSU is the best team in the country but Iowa blows.
  12. QUOTE(beautox @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 10:34 PM) Why the Haeger hate? Chuck is a winner, and if by some chance he is in the rotation next year i think he will post a league average ERA and keep his team in the game, and alleviate the BP. and if in the BP i think he will excell. It's nothing against him personally but he's a knuckler. I'm racist against knuckleballers.
  13. QUOTE(marsh @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 12:34 PM) Wouldn't mind seeing Freel in left and Lugo at ss batting 1 & 2. Not sure how realistic it is. Freel is a mess of a human being and Lugo is an absolute butcher at short. I'd much rather have Uribe starting for us at short than Lugo.
  14. QUOTE(shipps @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 03:46 AM) The McCarthy boners will subside when next season comes around and he is mediocre.Then these same people will exaggerate about how bad he is and we should have traded him when we had the chance to get something. OR people like you will realize what kind of talent he really is and start saying stuff like "where was that change up all of last year?" Brandon is going to be very good next year, book it. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 02:32 PM) Maybe, but it will take a long while before people stop blaming Ozzie and KW. We definitely need to trade one of our starters and let him start. I wouldn't mind trading two and getting another lefty starter as well. Do you guys think Mark Redman is a stiff? Again, he is a free agent and won 11 of KC's games. Not bad for such a crap team. Detroit made a masterful move getting an old guy lefty like Rodgers. Rotation Mark B Jon Brandon Fred/Vas (other one traded) Redman or Moyer trade Jose (I like Jose) Trading Fred or Vas and Jose for some stud middle relievers and/or leftfielder. Mark Redman blows and Jamie Moyer hasn't had that great of a year since 2003. I'd rather have Haeger start compared to either of those two and I want Haeger off this team come next year.
  15. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) don't let thim walk through the quad on the walk home, he'll mark his territory It was either that or pissing my pants.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 11:31 AM) There's gonna be a day in the near future where Row and I get together and get smashed. We'll make sure not to invite SnB. ^^^ Last night after playing beer pong and drinking some more, a few friends and I went to dimaggio's pizza over here. Jamaal Tatum walks in(a member of our bball team) and I point at him and go "Hey, I know you." He gave me a weird look and walked away.
  17. WE GAINED GROUND ON MINNY AND DETROIT.
  18. A Kenny Williams team with an 100 million dollar payroll will never be rebuilding.
  19. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) I really hate to say this, but there's a lot that some of you "Sox fans" could learn from Cubs fans, like supporting your team. Hell, even KC fans wear KC hats, man. Why? Because they support their team. But there's a difference between us, the Cubs, the Royals and EVERYBODY ELSE, and that's the fact that last year, WE won the World Series. Sure, I'm dissapointed, but having to wait another year for a possible playoff chance is much easier now that they've won a World Series the previous year. We can at least have a cushion for a while. The Cubs haven't done it in nearly a century. So be thankful, and look forward to next year. You didn't answer his question.
  20. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 01:45 AM) No sir I was waiting for you to jump in.

    OMG!!!!!!!

    That's just wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
  22. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Sep 25, 2006 -> 11:56 PM) While I am dissappointed I still think they will have an active offseason and will be back competing next year.they have a core and trade bait with some guys ready to come up. They were in a tough division. They had the pieces to win though. Its a hard sport to repeat in. Kenny Williams will make this team a contender again, there's no doubt.
