SOX sent me a box!
QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:30 AM) Yea. We got ours on Saturday. We (ST holders) have been asking them to do this for years - the Bulls used to do it (they may still, but we are no longer bulls ticket holders so I don't know) and it was a little thing that went a long way. Will split season ticket holders get them too or just full?

QUOTE(Soxy @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:21 AM) but I am making the dog wear angel wings and probably a halo. Poor thing. I got a few ideas this year, we'll see what happens.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 08:01 AM) Saw 3 is coming out on 10/27. I'm a big fan of the franchise so I'm looking forward to it. ^^^ Still haven't seen jackass. My friends and I for the last 3 weekends keep saying we're going to go and just always end up doing something else. Hopefully this weekend we'll finally go, cause I really want to see that movie.

Which was the better season?
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:06 AM) Really? Both guys are great defensively. The first guy people are willing to give 5/50 to. The second guy got his contract after that year and is now considered overpaid. Ya, it's Juan. Like I said I missed it some how. Joe's season is definitely better but I see the point you're making. Juan definitely isn't overpaid though, I think most people here agree with that.

Which was the better season?
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:04 AM) Juan Uribe's '04? Yup. Good call. I missed that some how when sorting through stats.

Which was the better season?
No one from 00-06 with these numbers. Who is the mystery man?
-
Which was the better season?
Must be someone from a different year. Because there is no one from 06 with those stats.

Minnesota Twins Post Mortem Playoff Thread
QUOTE(Benchwarmerjim @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) from what I gathered, the payroll is going to go up a little bit plus Brad Radke and Shannon Stewart's contracts are coming off the books so there is a little flexiblity Gotcha. Still, 12 mill seems like an awful lot for Hunter considering the Twins are still going to have payroll restrictions even if they raise payroll a bit.

Minnesota Twins Post Mortem Playoff Thread
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) I assume they will try and deal him though. This way they at least get something for him. They're going to have to. Hunter for 12 mill with their payroll restrictions just isn't going to work.

A-Rod, what's the asking price
QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) Taken off the AP wire tonight. You still want A-Rod?? Nope. That article has completely changed my mind. Can you guys believe that A-Rod doesn't get along with everyone on his team? What an awful person.

Official NFL Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) I enjoy watching the NFL when the teams are good. I do not watch games that don't involved the good teams i mentioned (I didn't watch tonight's game at all, for example, however the box score makes it obvious it was ugly). Then how do you know which teams are good and which aren't?

They're still going to lose to the Tigers.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) Plus, is it really different in MLB? For the most part, you have the elite -- Detroit, both New Yorks, Minnesota. You have the pretty damn good -- Sox, Oakland, Boston, Anahiem. And the rest. And below the rest, you have the NL (sans the Mets, of course). That's how it is in every league. When you have so many teams, that's just how it's going to have to work. I'm interested how you sorted out your list for the mlb teams though. Trying not to jinx your A's?

Official NFL Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) Indy is 5-0 and has Peyton Manning. They are on the list. As for your lists, Dallas has no quarterback right now, Seattle hasn't recovered from the loss of Hutchinson, Brady has nobody to throw the ball, and was handed that game by a horrible Miami team, Denver has no offense, and Baltimore has no offense. And who the hell is etc? The NFL, as usual, has 25 or so teams that completely SUCK, which is why I don't understand the popularity of the product of mediocrity. Right now, you have the Bears, Eagles, Chargers, Colts (sort of), Jacksonville, and a pile of poop. I'm sure another team or two will emerge, but this league overall has a crap product. How do you know so much about the league if you think it sucks? You obviously enjoy it if you know all about these teams.

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) What a borefest tonight. P.S. Rachel Nichols said during a report today that someone on Baltimore leads the NFL in sacks with 5. Guess she never heard of MARK ANDERSON!!! There is a few people ahead of Scott in sacks. That doesn't matter though as he went to The Southern Illinois University.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 07:31 PM) Why are so many of you writing off Riske... If i'm not mistaken he's still under our control... You're mistaken.- Minnesota Twins Post Mortem Playoff Thread
QUOTE(gosox41 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) I agree about the offense, but I think the pitching is better then you give them credit for. Why do you think Garza will be a disappointment? Granted, he's no Santana, but I think he can be a solid #3 pitcher. I like Bonser a lot, but he needs to stay healthy. Anything they get out of Liriano is a plus. But it's Minnesota's bullpen that's awesome. Bob I'm very unimpressed with Garza, I'll just leave it at that.- Improving the bullpen
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) I have very high hopes for Senor Broadway, too. If Haeger does shine this spring then maybe a late trade wouldn't be a bad option. It's just so damn hard to judge pitching down in Tucson. Maybe one that gets Haeger off the team, not into the rotation.- A-Rod, what's the asking price
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) The Yankees will never trade Derek Jeter. End of discussion. Ya, I'd say that's all that needed to be said.- Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 9, 2006 -> 07:06 AM) Whats the deal with WWE's Raw having a season premiere? Since when did wrestling have an offseason, I'm so confused. ha. Did Vince trade for ARod?- A-Rod, what's the asking price
I'm just going to throw Jon Garlands name out there for conversation sake. Actually the more I think about it, if we can't get rid of Freddy then Jon is the starter I'd trade. I'll explain more later when I actually have had some sleep and could explain myself better. - Improving the bullpen
