  1. Oh, I'm aware.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) Well...that looks like a losing lineup. Is this sarcasm? No sir, it is not. I'm sick of him.
  3. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) Anderson has been hitting well. Ozzie has to get him to hit poorly so he can always use him as an example when teams accuse the Sox of cheating. Playing him infrequently will do that. That said, I really think Mack has a better chance off Santana, but its not worth the defensive downgrade especially with Pablo or Pods in LF. I'd agree with this. I also agree with your last line however, I'm just so sick of watching Mack cost us runs in an unnatural position for him. It's just beyond dumb to not have BA out there almost every game especially facing the Twins, this is just ridiculous. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) I hate our manager. If Anderson isn't injured, then Ozzie deserves to be fired. Can't wait for this day.
  4. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 05:09 PM) It's official. Ozzie is mentally handicapped. Mackowiak in CF. Per the Score. Is BA injured or something? If not just wow. I'm getting more sick of Ozzie with every passing game.
  5. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 04:32 PM) They won't beat Stevenson or Libertyville. Brian :wub:'s Stevenson.
  6. Pretty hard to forget that play.
  7. I really see us having no chance at winning this one to be honest. Jose needs to show us something, and hopefully we can scratch across a run or two and see what happens. I expect a L today and a W tomorrow though. Hopefully I'm wrong and we can some how take both.
  8. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:00 AM) Yeah whatever happens this season, if we don't win World Series it's probably going to be seen as a failure from the majority of our fans. And I just find that dissappointing, especially when you have a look at how many good teams there are in the A.L this season. Eh, to me if this team doesnt win it all then this year is a big disappointment(so it's going to be). This team was built to win it all and definitely has the talent to do so. Problem is that our starting rotation stinks in comparison to what it was supposed to be and many other teams around the league. I really don't care how good the al is as a whole, anything less than a World Championship is a huge disappointment, at least imo.
  9. Sox fans love to blame the hitting coach.
  10. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 25, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) regardless of the outcome of this division, the Tigers are not a better team than the White Sox. Perhaps they did a better job of beating the Twins and Royals. Whatever. But head to head, they pale by comparison. Go ahead and win the division; you ain't going anywhere after that. So are the Cubs better than the Cardinals since they've beat them head to head? At this moment the Tigers are the better team, it's really not that close in my mind either.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 25, 2006 -> 06:10 PM) Actually, it looks like it's just a small system passing over the city moving W -> E. There might be a delay but I definately think they'll be playing this game. You can't rain two games out in a year on a Roger Bossard field.
  12. I really can't believe Mack is starting, what a freaking joke.
  13. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 11:34 PM) And decresing a ton. Tell that to Bartolo Colon who basically won it off wins, (with his "steller" 3.48 era [close to 4]) whereas Johan Santana was better than him in alomst every other category. I've actually thought alot about Garland winning the Cy Young this season which would be something considering his horrific start this year. IMO, The Cy Young these days are just like the Gold Glove award. For the gold glove they basically see the offense more than the defense and The Cy Young sees more of the wins than the era. If Garland wins about 4-5 more games and gets his era around the early 4's late 3's, he has a great shot. (especially since Liriano is injured, etc..) Talk to me when Jon gets his era well under 4. He's not even close to the cy young race right now, that being said if he continues to absolutely dominate and ends up with an era around 3 and a half with 20 wins then ya throw him in the cy young race. That ain't happening though.
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) BA needs to be careful or he could be hitting .240 by the end of the year.
  15. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) We are going to be looking at a revamped rotation is my guess. I see Freddie probably gone and maybe Vazquez and even one more. I think Garland will be the ace. McCarthy replaces one pitcher and it doesn't hurt to have one more lefty so why not give Thornton a shot at it? Because you significantly weaken the bullpen and take away from the actual strength of our pitching staff to try out a guy who doesnt have an offspeed pitch as a starter.
  16. That 4.47 era puts him right in the cy young race.
  17. Matt virtually throws all fastballs with a slider mixed in every now and then. He'd have to learn a change up some where down the line and besides that, he's way too valuable to our bullpen. Stay where you can thrive, Matt.
  18. QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) I don't know why Brian Anderson gets let off the hook by so many fans. Has he proven he can hit yet in the big leagues? I mean I like his defense as much as anybody but you can't tell me he's done better than Rowand did. Again, I like his defense and his potential I guess, but Brian Anderson does not appear to me to have star potential as a hitter. I know ... Crede took a while too. We shall see but to say we'll have one of the best cf's for the next six years, I dunno about that. Even the biggest Brian supporters have to admit he has been a C- at the plate to D plus to go with his A-plus work in cf. Brian is a better player than Aaron right now and he's going to continue to get better. Brian had a rough start but he's been real darn good ever since.
  19. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) I'd love to have a tally of how many "sox fans" said that at this time last year. Not me. I was 100 percent confident in last years team. I have 0 confidence in this years.
  20. I'd never give up on this team but they aren't winning the world series.
  21. Best movie evar.
  22. I didn't get to watch any of these games but it's an unacceptable series no matter what. I'm much more relieved than happy to win this one.
  23. QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) the movie opens in some places at 10 PM tonight who is going? I am. Can't Wait.
  24. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) I don't believe he has a thick body though. He is not small and thick like Portis or Barry Sanders. He just seems small. He didn't have many injury problems at USC basically because he was not pounding the ball inside and he wasn't getting as many touches as he will in the pros. I really don't believe he is an every down back and will be very shocked if he is ever used that way. We will see of course, but I wouldn't get all hyped up over one preseason play. That is kind of silly. I would not call Reggie Small. He's actually not small at all.
