yeah, I think rmejco brought up that we play 50 STRAIGHT games under sub .500 teams. I never thought that was possible. That rocks

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 24, 2007 -> 11:17 AM) I'm not going to second guess anybody for opting to try something other than back surgery. yeah.. no kidding, especially entering free agency right before your prime.

Great show guys. I look forward to the next one.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 17, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) Well you'd hope so with the likes of Carter on there. Starting to see more of that pitching depth as we move up the scale though. Im surprised myself carter is ranked so high

Official 2006-2007 NBA Discussion Thread

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 23, 2007 -> 07:04 AM) There isn't a chance that the Jail Blazers let Zach Randolph stick around to poison their franchise player. They are going to trade him for the first thing that comes along, just to get rid of his influence.between the blazers and sonics, there will be some exciting basketball in the northwest. The west just got so much stronger. -
QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 23, 2007 -> 05:05 AM) We have something special with this pitching staff this year.

Cotts to AAA, according to Comcast Sportsnet
rangercal replied to whitesoxfan101's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 21, 2007 -> 10:57 PM) Well, half of the garbage exchanged in that deal is where it belongs now.....the ironic thing is the only arm of value in that deal is Vasquez, who is looking really good for us in AAA. It's pretty amazing how long Cotts and Aardsma pitched really well though, they each kept that fraud alive for a solid month. I'm struggling to figure out how you don't see any value in Aardsma? He has had a bad stretch, but, he is definately a pitcher who has obvious talent and value. -
Erstad is Healthy now, This is good to see.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ May 21, 2007 -> 11:01 AM) Where the f*** does he get off saying this? If anything, it'd be the other way around. I couldn't care less about who we beat... and trust me, I don't know a real Sox fan who values beating the Cubs over winning the World Series. Does he seriously get paid to write this s***? I'd love to run over his typing hands with a Hummer

QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 21, 2007 -> 08:58 AM) Couch wants to be the next Marriotti. I definitely caught that.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 21, 2007 -> 12:05 AM) Are you being sarcastic? Masset didn't have the stamina to throw a ton of pitches (when you aren't throwing 100 pitches every 5 days you can't be expected to go out after being sporadically used and throw 85-90 pitches) and you could see he was very fatigued. He'd have been an idiot to leave him out longer. Ozzie took Masset out when the worse that could happen was Masset getting a ND (had MacDougall gave up both inherited runs). Ozzie has actually been pretty good all season as far as I'm concerned (but I'm in the vast minority). I agree with you Jason. I don't think Ozzie has received enough credit around here, especially how he has handled the PEN ( a young pen at that). Ozzie definately pulled Masset at the best possible time. Another note, I can't express how excited I am with the young arms we have within our organization, props to Kenny!

Yankees about to contest Giambi's contract?
rangercal replied to caulfield12's topic in The Diamond Club
Good! Giambi wasn't crying when he stole an MVP from Frank Thomas ( costing him money) Karma always finds a way around -
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 20, 2007 -> 04:29 PM) He should be out there actively pursuing a guy like Xavier Nady. The Sox need another outfield bat (not only for this year but the next couple years) and thats even if Pods comes back and now is the time to make that move. It also would give the Sox a lot more insurance if they were to lose Dye at the end of the season to free agency. Jack Cust would have been Nice a few weeks ago ! KW is a moron! Serioulsy, I would love to see Nady on the sox, thats definately a great suggestion. He's just going to waste with the pirates. QUOTE(greg775 @ May 20, 2007 -> 07:46 PM) Your declaration was not needed nor accurate. It's mid May and the offense has been horrible. The relief pitching has been terrible except for Bobby. Have you been cheering wildly when MacD and Sisco are banging baseballs off our catcher's shinguards and walking everybody in sight and the lineup has hit .220? Those of us who figured we'd get swept also have praised the starting pitching. The team has been waddling around .500 a long time now. We're still Sox fans. But we have the right to b**** a bit with mediocre newcomer Erstad leading what has been a pathetic lineup. If you want whining and b****ing go see a Yankee fan. I saw one b****ing about A-Rod making an out during his hot streak in April. GO SOX! It's still too early to b**** when our top slugger has been out almost all season and It's still May
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) I usually don't do it, but you guys need to relax. Aardsma and Mac were probably two of the best relievers in baseball in April, now there are serious posts of having them sent to Charlotte. Relax. lol no s***
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) It's a mix of concern and trying to wake them up probably. so we both agree he hasn't jumped off a bridge just yet. You may beg to differ, but I don't think he will make any major moves until July.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:53 PM) That ignores the fact that our GM doesn't agree with you. Today was nice though. He was just trying to wake the team up. You know Kenny better than that.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 20, 2007 -> 03:50 PM) So a lost series at Wrigley to a below .500 series proves something since we weren't swept? Our GM doesn't agree with you. Maybe we should wait until our offense is at full strength before we jump off any buildings? Damn it felt good watching Thome pick up that bat.
-
But it is necessary. I will make this antagonistic declaration right now, because it is needed and accurate. I have 2 thoughts for those of you who ,cried this weekend that we a)should blow things up B ) were going to get swept before 1st pitch of Sundays game. 1. You're a P*ssy. 2. Go become a Cub fan, because only one of them could whine and b**** any more. If we make the playoffs and you guys are still around after this season, I also want to b**** out this board as a whole simply for their loyalty to you p*ssys . Friday and Saturday proved that I have never seen so many Chicken Littles in my life, today proved that barring the offense will not show up again, you all need to take a deep breath and not worry so much. If we make it to October, I will not associate with a circle of wimps with a big vagina who have screamed "The Sky is Falling" 3 of 4 seasons. Period. carry on now
