QUOTE (Dunt @ Aug 8, 2016 -> 07:33 PM) http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160808 So when are we allowed to be excited about Alex Call? I've been excited about call and fisher for a few weeks. I'd like to see fisher promoted to loA, especially if call and remillard are there, why not fisher. I'd be real curious to know how each of those guys are doing defensively
  5. grassu with a knee injury that "looks serious" per fox....im guessing that means its a season ender. non-contact injury too
  6. call keeps hitting. Just about the only thing worth paying attention to these days.
  7. if you can get a big bundle for him, I think you have to do it
  8. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) Yup. This whole "strikeouts are actually bad because they don't let you go deep into games" thing he's got going on this year is absolute horses***, and Rick Hahn or somebody needs to explain this in detail to him and Don Cooper. Unfortunately he got really lucky pitching to contact early in the year and that's probably cemented the idea in their heads. Yep and then what happens is guys foul the 91 mph fastball off and eventually draw a walk or drive up your pitch count. Ie fowler, russell
  9. I preferred the version of sale that threw the high fastball by people at 97. Not the one who induces the ground out on a 91 mph high fastball
  10. even set aside the control (which was never good, but is worse now)... You tell me if this looks like the same guy you saw tonight.
  11. fulmers velocity is way down from where it was in college. He routinely hit 97 when he was a reliever his soph year. Sitting 91-92 now. Seems to be more of a slinger than anything now
  12. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 08:08 PM) He may be a top five prospect in our system at this point. Dude looks legit IMO. i don't even think its a question .320/.432/.483 and 5 HR 8 SBs in 36 games so far
  13. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 23, 2016 -> 11:27 PM) The system went 0-7 about to be 0-8. I realize that's an incomplete reflection of the overall talent. But the horrific nature of these teams (all but Great falls are awful or worse) might say something about system depth. And you really shouldn't do this to your affiliates. charlotte is 45-57, birmingham is 42-57, Winston Salem is 40-59, Kanny is 38-60, DSL is 14-26, and AZL is 10-17. great falls at least is 18-16, but man, wow
  14. call and fisher are good
  15. rough day for our top offensive draft picks. Collins call and fisher all 0-4. Nice to see fisher back tho
  16. This was such a good draft. We need the next couple to be like this was, but I'm really high on Collins call and fisher. Hansen is a lotto ticket still but it looks like maybe we saw something we could correct. Burdi is a bit of a mystery to me - if he throws 102, why do guys hit him ? Even if it's straight, a guy throwing 100 shouldn't have a 3.30 era in college and a 7.20 Era in the mid minors (I know it's mini sample size tho)
  17. 1 IP 0 H 0 BB 2 K In true don cooper fashion, Fulmer was throwing a cutter, which he didn't throw at vandy. Alex Bregman is a star in the making.
  18. call with a bomb. Fisher out of the lineup again. Hope he's ok
  19. The Cubs only need to go 65-10 the rest of the way to break the all time wins record. After all, they are the greatest team ever. Now on pace for 97 wins. Same as last years squad
  20. so did anyone really think the Cubs pitching would really continue to be the best in the league
