  1. Can we trade you for a sexually confused Cub troll instead? It's a no-lose proposition.
  2. Here's an idea: how about Lee wait just a split second longer, and those 3 foul balls may end up 3 screamer into the gap instead of 3 outs/foul balls?
  3. And I, in turn, take that to mean that you are blissfully unaware of the fact that Super Mario has hit 50+ HR with 150+ RBI in the minors, and has indeed never "dented" the majors.
  4. Jose will see nothing but splitters....and will miss them by a foot each. Watch how Sox hitter's deal with tough pitchers. Postseason is a different beast. [/trite but true]
  5. This team needs both Frank and Maggs. And it needs them to use the entire field - how many 88mph get me over fastballs on 2-0 counts do you think Frank is going to see from Pedro and Shilling in the playoffs? That's what made the last couple of games so good to see - Franks was agressive and yet for the most part didn't try to elevate every pitch.
  6. Hint: one in particular played in one of the Texas leagues in the 40's
  7. There goes the scoreless streak. Jinx worked like a charm. :headshake
  8. No, he only costs runs, remember?
  9. No, that's Vitali Klitchko. Allegendly.
  10. I didn't say you could use the last 20 years only because, you see, "baseball history" is just a tiny bit older than that..... Don't f*ck with my point, momo. It stands. Possibly outside of time. Stats don't tell the whole story? Agreed. No, never heard that one. Don't mention it.

    Music Debate

Snob music is not an option?
  12. I also do not agree that he is behind the "curve" by only 12 months. Or maybe he is just a Talent away from the bigs. Who knows.
  13. Oh good, now all we need is a time machine and some lube....
  14. Whatever, you can use 30 hr, 120 rbi standard if you wish. The point still stands -- mL stats do not translate well to ML production, and whatever Borchard has done in the last couple of years is laughable. And I could care less what Sox management considers "ready"; their motives and methods of evaluation are their own. Right now he's not even at the 'r' let alone 'eady' YMMV.
  15. Wow....Alou is helpless with an outside pitch....Imagine that! All of his HRs have come on middle-in pitches. He has a very efficient swing and extremely strong hands. And yet teams keep pumping fastballs in his wheelhouse time and time again, and are then suprised why he is hitting like a HOF'er at 38. What do they say about trying to sneak a fastball by Hank Aaron? Idiots.
  16. Wilson 2003: 871 OPS 6 GIDP Konerko 2003: 704 OPS 28 GIDP Wilson 2004: 1041 OPS 4 GIDP Konerko 2004 838 OPS 5 GIDP Wilson won't be making more than 4 Mill in the next 2 years while Konerko is owed 16 Mill. Plus the genetic hip condition rumors will always hurt Kong's value. There is virtually NO chance Pirates in the present state will think twice about trading for Konerko, esp after 2003 collapse. None.
  17. I'll you let figure it out on your own. Hint: it's the same "reason" why best Sopranos episodes are the ones where noone gets whacked.
  18. Alou, you stupid, ignorant, evil, hand-pissing slut!!! They must have insterted the extra pins into Bionic Eldred's brain -- Alou is barely fouling off outside pitches and this garbage-f*** lays one knee high middle-in :puke :headshake
  19. Salary: 5+ Mill over multiple years
  20. Not only is Craig "Chris" Wilson an everyday player, he's thoroughly outhit Konerko in 2003 and 2004, while making 300K. There is NO way Pitt even considers the possibility of Konerko and Lee. Seattle will trade Garcia but it won't be for some overrrated, overpaid head-case like Konerko or Lee. It will be for prospects like Honel and Cotts. Of course it would be beneficial to the Sox. So will be Bonds for Jason Dellaro. Doesn't mean it will ever happen.
