  1. AJ flattened Barrett with a clean hit while Barrett was blocking the plate. Then Barrett sucker punched AJ and it hardly phased him. He just looked at Barrett like "WTF is your problem?" Cubs fans post the still pic of Barrett's fist on AJ's jaw and try to make it seem like Barrett kicked AJ's ass as a metaphor for the Cubs beating the Sox, when in reality it was just the opposite.
  2. ? LOL! I just saw the video. Tim starts a fight and gets knocked on his ass! ???
  3. Remembering the good old days when it was fun to be a White Sox fan:
  4. Still waiting for them to "flip the switch" LOL! It seemed like the team lost it's mojo around the time TLR woke up in the dugout and went ballistic over Yermin Mercedes hitting a home run then gave the Twins permission to throw at him.
  5. I haven't watched a second of any Sox game this month. Don't plan on watching any more this season. But I come here to keep up with what's going on.
  6. Wait. I thought Moncada was supposed to be an elite defensive 3B.
  7. Even at his weight Jake Burger is one of the faster runners in MLB. And he hustles.
  8. Tanner became Manager in '71. Forster came up in '71, and Gossage in '72. Dick Allen was acquired in '72. But yeah, good times and great memories.
  9. Yeah, at least we had young guys like Melton, May and Herrmann to look forward to.
  10. If they would have signed Harper and Machado, they wouldn't have had the money to extend the crap "core" players and would have been better off today for it.
  11. No wonder so many deals got done. KW was almost always able to close a deal, whether it turned out good or bad. Hahn is usually left sitting empty handed at his seat at the table.
  12. Once again the middle of that White Sox lineup features the team's strength, an abundance of right handed power hitters.
  13. Almost everything about Jake seems like a feel good story.
  14. I didn't watch a second of the game last night. So their "elite 3B" didn't have his head in the game. Par for the course.
  15. They probably could have had him for Eloy.
  16. Marlins won. That's all that matters.
  17. I don't see how Yoan has anything to do with the issue of whether or not they should have traded Jake Burger.
  18. But Hahn said they traded him because right handed power hitting is a position of strength of this team.
  19. Jake was my favorite player on this team (didn't say he was the best player, that's obviously Robert). The guy could hit the ball harder than anyone, had a great attitude, played any position he was asked and improved as he played more, and was generally a like-able guy. I hope he goes on a tear and leads the Marlins to the playoffs this season, and has a successful career. I'll be cheering him on.
  20. A++ Hahn was able to restock the farm with prospects while keeping his championship core of Moncada, Anderson, Eloy and Kopech intact.
