  1. The team has a -26 run differential. Their record is far better than it should be. If the coaching is as bad as most people think and the players are all underperformed. What is the reason for the record being better than the performance? Is is truly just baseball luck?
  2. That's why I said I didn't think it was totally true. I don't know when they know where in the order they are hitting. I just know there have been reports about players knowing their scheduled days off a few days ahead of time.
  3. I don't think this is the totally the case. From all reports players know well in advance when they will have scheduled days off.
  4. Baseball, crazy game. I do think the Sox are more built for power as opposed to getting on base and playing small ball and the new baseball that travels less really hurt them. Not sure if anyone could have predicted that.
  5. There is no doubt the team is underperformed. In the end there are 2 things for certain players are the ones underperformed and it is the ultimate responsibility of TLR the manager. The true question is would changing the manager at this point make the players play better? Everyone will have an opinion. If the outcome isn't better when the season is over some changes should be to be made.
  6. I tend to give people second chances. I tend not to make quick or snap judgements. They made the playoffs after a weird season with a new staff. I'll give them another chance.
  7. It makes as much sense as when the team was winning making a difference. Dies it matter if they win now or later or if they are 14-5 against the Royals?
  8. This is the conundrum. Is this more important than the end of the year? We won't know until then. I personally do not know any of the inner workings of the clubhouse and players. The people there do. If they don't win in the playoffs, changes need to be made. Until that point, I'm going to assume that the people in the clubhouse know more than I do about the situations. The losing sucks but they have the keys and should live and die by them.
  9. They also weren't over .500 for good until August last year. Should the Sox strive for that as well?
  10. People can't post about a thread without posters calling then names and attacking a person's age. Nice judgment on people.
  11. Thats why I said probably won't.
  12. If he continues to pitch like yesterday he deserves to get to 160 and the contract next year but probably wont.
  13. As opposed to Cease and Velasquez the last two days?
  14. As Dumb Donald from Fat Albert said, "There is no cash" No cash is accepted anywhere there.
  15. Good to hear it. Sounds like you have more than just a few factors which could have made it a disaster. Hope all goes well! ???
  16. Cardiac issues are more common than you think with COVID. For D1 athletics you need a full cardiac workup and EKG before returning to running.
  17. There is a difference between inappropriate and obvious. My definition of inappropriate is the Blackhawks scandal or something prosecution worthy.
  18. Maybe knew is too strong of a word. Let's just say that no one was surprised when he made it official.
  19. Everyone has known for at least a decade. It's not new information. No inappropriate behavior at least that's known.
  20. It not who you play, it's when you play them. Hawk Harrelson
  21. As I recall the procedure was described as a tendon repair similar to Grandal. This still baffles me as repairs take months not weeks, so it must be some kind of debridement of the tendon and then an augmentation.
  22. He is but he was hurt running to first base. How are you going to prevent that?
