Exactly, so if they hope that's the case it means it's close enough and his rehab has progressed enough that they can start looking at a prognosis. So even if it doesn't happen by then they know they are close. They don't mean that they hope he will ever throw again, uts a timeline.

Not necessarily. I'm sure they about the surgery and if he is hoping to be ready for opening day, he must be pretty far along in his rehab so they have a good idea about his recovery. You really do hate everything about this team, don't you.

Nerve decompression on the shoulder not a common one. Probably suprascapular nerve. That will be interesting to watch.
  4. That would be but I bet it's a 2 round at best.
  5. Yeah, but Illinois has the record for the most Governors sent to prison. Illinois takes it to the next level compared to other governments.
  6. I agree. That was a great experience to be part of. Probably the best non-post season experience for me. The fog bowl was a good one too as I was near the goal post when butler hit it but we couldn't see if it went in.
  7. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This is Illinois so we'll see who pays for the most votes.
  8. I think the mayor supports it just to get anything out of the 78 area. It's just a drag on the city right now. The development company needs an anchor for the area to thrive. The ballpark would do that.
  9. Reinsdorf denied that the real problem is poor performance by his team. Even after winning the World Series in 2005, “we didn’t crack the 3 million (attendance) mark,” something that Series winners routinely accomplish. Perhaps at this point we should note that the largest contract Reinsdorf has ever given out as White Sox owner is Andrew Benintendi's five-year, $75 million extension. Reinsdorf is clearly implying that his team would be able to play with the heavy hitters if it had that real estate income, which is something you will have to just trust him on. The Washington Nationals have also never cracked 3 million in attendance, but they've still paid out some massive contracts, such as those of Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg. The Houston Astros cracked 3 million for the first time since 2007 last year. I totally agree. Pitchers having a revision UCL reconstruction only have about a 30% chance of returning to their prior level. He may just be a really expensive outfielder with a damaged arm.
  10. If he goes on the IL a portion of it is covered by insurance. Cost won't be a factor here.
  11. What he is referring to is that BASEBALL IS BACK So it's all good.
  12. It's not just the economics. Its part of society today. There has to be more going on and more to do than just watching a ballgame. Especially, baseball which is too slow for most.
  13. That's more the way I read it. Either way what do you expect him to say, "we just want a new stadium because we feel like it."
  14. I don't know if he'll play that much as I think Montgomery comes up later in the year and takes playing time away.
  15. It pretty much has to get done by the end of the year. This is the deadline to extend the hotel tax to get the binds for public funding. There is no way the state will approve new taxes. They may not approve this. Either that or it's nearly all private funding.
  16. If he plays really well, I could see the option picked up so he plays another year in a contract year. Hopefully Ramos progresses well and he would take over at that point. Unless they think he is ready for next year then they wouldn't pick up the option.
  17. I worked many badminton tournaments. They have lots of elbow issues due to the "snap" of the swing. You probably have me at fencing. While I did work with them at the Olympic training center for practice, I haven't actually covered a competition. ?
  18. I'm surprised at how bad they think the defense is for Montgomery. I'll take the over as in better than -1.1 for fielding war on only around 50 games.
  19. I am going with the over on the war though.
  20. 616 PA may be pushing it though.i don't doubt he has some back issues. I think he'll play more but I don't know if it will be that many. That nearly a full season with no time off.
  21. Every season season is enjoyable so it doesn't really matter. Some are just more than others.
  22. I know we disagree on why to attend a ballgame. I can enjoy the game without having a loss ruin it. I have worked many professional and Olympic sports and traveled with them. There probably isn't a sport that I haven't worked with at some level. Nothing beats baseball. The game of baseball is a wonderful thing. Not many things beat a day at the ballpark, especially now that I don't have to work them.

Agreed I was thinking the same thing.
