  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 22, 2007 -> 01:22 PM) It was a consent form for them to wed not for him to bed her. A minor may not wed in the state of Illinois without their parent's consent. The age of sexual consent in Illinois is 17 (or 18 if it's a teacher). If this girl ends up pregnant before her 17th birthday this guy is going to prison. This is what happened in Oklahoma a couple years back, when a guy who wasnt as old as this gym teacher got his wife pregnant and she was 17. The State's Attorney in their County went after him, got a conviction, and the guy is now in jail. Right wingers were upset over the breakup of their "family."
  2. just discovered the Automatic Music Explosion - an UNBELIEVABLE LA band. They're first album hits later this year I think, and the live show......... oh my god. anyway, they're on myspace.
  3. Also, Supercard of Honor from Chicago last year, featuring the 2006 Match of the Year, the Dragon Gate 6-Man match and an awesome Bryan Danielson/Roderick Strong 55-minute match. Also, why not buy the $10 July 1st ROH PPV? It's ten bucks!
  4. Tommy started as the Green Ranger but really made his mark as the WHITE Ranger. Hope he's fightin Rita Repulsa.
  5. Supposedly next week's Impact has an AMAZING three-way half-hour match. Looking forward to Vengeance. Announced: Cena/Lashley/Orton/Booker/Foley for the WWE Title Edge/Batista for the WH Title Benoit/Punk for the ECW Title Cade & Murdoch/Hardys for the World Tag Team Title Morella/Umaga for the IC Title MVP/Flair for the US Title Guerrero/Yang for the Cruiserweight Title Melina/Candace for the Women's Title Deuce & Domino/???? for the WWE Tag Team Title not a bad card. I will be watching.
  6. Poor Sherri - eulogized by a guy from the Torch. Too bad.

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) Yeah that movie with Will Smith looks like it could be a good one. Definitely looking forward to that. Based on a book also never read it though. Richard Matheson - read it. It'll be better than the movie I guarantee it. btwm just watched Infernal Affairs tonite. Pretty good, but not as good as The Departed. Has anyone watched any of those Horrorfest films?
  8. wasnt as bad as the grief stuff from SD/ECW last week. Except for Steph, most were playing it for laffs. Love the crowd's reaction - keep it up. Sooner or later, they'll realize turning this into a serious angle was a BAD idea. love London & Kendrick! Here's hoping they're a regular thing and not buried as undercard guys. Also, the TNA ppv was great. Even the matches I didnt care about were pretty good. Bout time!
  9. I'm like 3 years behind on my video game playing - what I am playing now: Pac-Man World 3
  10. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 08:06 PM) Very good ECW tonight other than the 15 minutes recapping last night. Dreamer/Balls was a harcore match done in true ECW fashion, Boogie Man/Striker was average, and Benoit-Punk/Burke-Cor Von was excellent. Though would anyone agree with me that the ending was botched by the ref? Our first match victim of the Refs not knowing the ending era. Again, that's just for HOUSE shows - not TV. Agree it was awkward, but it happens sometimes. I too predict Benoit winning the title at Vengeance. Word is it'll be a Fatal Four-Way w/ Punk, Burke & CorVon. Not a bad idea to have CorVon win it and have the others chase him, but I don't see it. I think it'd be a great storyline twist to have one of the wrestlers as a detective, trying to solve the whodunit. I vote for Kane or Eugene.

Knocked Up was terrific. Best comedy so far this year. Pirates was good - but TOOOOO long. It should've been 3 two-hour movies rather than 2 three-hour movies.
  12. I thought it was funny. Good stuff. My money's eitehr on DX or on McMahon faking his death to elicit sympathy. Either he's off TV for awhile so that's good. Smackdown got hosed in the draft - hope the supplemental draft (which was moved to Sunday) helps them. I so wanted CM Punk on SD.
  13. QUOTE(Purdue129 @ Jun 6, 2007 -> 08:41 AM) Briscoes vs. Shelley/Sabin from "Good Times Great Memories" will be up there on a lot of people's lists once the DVD comes out in the next week or so. cant wait to see these matches - or to catch up with my ROH dvds (someday.....)
  14. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 02:43 PM) That RR match against Umaga was pretty entertaining. I dunno if it was match of the year quality but it was pretty entertaining with a unique ending. Yes, that one. It might not be the MOTY, but it should def be included in the discussion, and considering how bad WWE's matches have been of late, I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the top 10 at the end of the year. What else deserves to be in that discussion so far? Harris/Storm Texas Death Match at TNA Sacrifice Angle/Joe Ironman at TNA Final Resolution MITB at Wrestlemania? that's about all I can think of so far. It's too bad that TNA doesn't have more, but the way they're booking right now, I shouldn't be surprised. The Danielson/CIMA match I saw last week in PWG was up there for me, but most people won't see it. I also assume there will be a few matches from ROH's Five Year DVDs, but I haven't watched them yet. Any others so far?
  15. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) Pretty much -- Busch=minors, Nextel=majors... But there's some big names in Busch too, right?
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 01:14 PM) Last night I watched Khali blow spot after spot just waiting for other people to do things(Umaga to get in the ring, Cena to get up, etc). It was pretty bad, I dont think this referee rule is in place for his matches It's only for HOUSE shows - not on TV. aside from Vince at the beginning, I liked RAW last night. tag match was terrific- a great ending. Main event was good - loved the monster v monster matchup at one point. Cena haters - time to get over it or stop watching Raw. I hated him for a long time and I just realized nothing was changing - also, from all reports, he's good guy and got a great attitude backstage and respect for the business. You can either complain all the time or start appreciate his good qualities. I chose the latter. He has two MOTY candidates and last night's triple-threat, while the outcome was never in doubt (is it ever on free tv?), was a good time. Excited for the draft. Love Punk to graduate to one of the big shows and London & Kendrick to move to Raw. I wouldn't put too much into those Mania predictions - WWE usually doesn't know what they're doing two months ahead of time, let alone 8. I expect Kennedy to be in there somewhere as well, but we'll see.
  17. Read it - wow, just wow. sorry, I'm very gay-friendly, but you gotta be kidding me. That's still not right. And someone was right - how can you tell?
  18. well, he is Roman Catholic.
  19. new to this - can someone explain to me the differences between the Busch series and the Nextel Cup series?
  20. saw ONS - pretty happy with most of it. Loved the ladder match, steel cage was very good, tables match was solid, and the rest was okay to good. Hated the ending of the RVD/Orton match - if you're gonna build Orton, then freaking build him! Give him the win in a convincing way. This concussion storyline has run its course. Loved Edge & Batista's work in the steel cage, but I think we've used the cage enough recently. Let it rest for a while. Cena/Khali - well, the Judgment Day match was better. Maybe Benoit can turn heel and feud with Cena - we should get some MOTY candidates out of that. Lashley/Vince - snorefest. Why have I seen this exact match three ppv's in a row? Yuck! Love how Vengeance is the "Night of Champions". It should be renamed the "Night of Champions except for the Cruiserweight Title and the Smackdown Tag Titles" since no one in WWE ever wants those defended on PPV. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla next week - El Generico vs. Bryan Danielson. How happy am I? Also, am I right in assuming I'll be the only one on here to be watching Slammiversary?
  21. been out of town - what were the moves the Sox made following Ozuna's injury & Sisco's demotion?
  22. the Punk/Burke match at JD was very good, but it could've benefited from a video package introducing the feud. The crowd was polite, but I'm not sure they knew who the two guys were. Vince is killing me. Raw was unwatchable last night.
  23. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 16, 2007 -> 07:06 AM) The long and winding road There has to be a twist I rode my motorcycle in the rain. flirtin with disaster He's going the distance Gonna eat a lot of Peaches And I was standin' on the side of the road Standing in line, marking time, waiting for the welfare dime Then I saw her face The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes A brown eyed girl in hand me downs Blinded me.....with SCIENCE She was the best damn woman I had ever seen Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds She ain't exactly small 42-39-56 BABY GOT BACK! She knows she got everything a woman needs to get a man, yeah. One Bourbon, one Scotch, one beer. I don't wanna touch you too much baby 'cuz making love to you might drive me crazy
  24. Surprisingly, I really like the new Tori Amos album. I say surprisingly because I can't say I've liked any of her others. This new one has the vocals mixed a little lower and seems to be more emphasizing the music than the lyrics, which is good as I've always felt her lyrics were way too pretentious for me. Good stuff.
