QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) Worst starting QB? Brooks Bollinger, JP Losman, Gus Ferotte, Ken Dorsey, Joey Harrington. There are plenty of awful QBs in the NFL, the fact that Orton is a rookie that has not made many mistakes recently does not make him the worst starting QB in the NFL. He isnt great but he has done what the Bears have asked him to do this year Agreed on all counts. Orton has done what the Bears asked and for a rookie, hasn't been all that bad. But it doesn't change the fact that Kyle Orton is the worst quarterback in the NFL, according to both stats and the eye test.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) Hmm The Bears threw the ball all 4th quarter today, and it failed because Kyle Orton is no good. The Bears defense as a result was DEAD the last several minutes of this game, and would have given up 2 TD's and a loss had Tampa Bay run the ball on 3rd and 2. That's not the defense's fault, they were just on the field all game during a game played in Florida, so of course you get tired. Kyle Orton sucks. Ron Turner sucks. But the Bears are 8-3 and I love it, so please don't say i'm not a fan. I'm just afraid this mirage is going to end when we play a team that isn't stupid and realizes they should just run the ball pretty much every play and not let our defense beat them.
-
The Bears story is incredible. They have the worst starting QB in football (by far) and the worst offensive coordinator in football (by far) and they are STILL 8-3 because of this defense. It's so unreal I can't get really excited about the Bears because I think everything is going to catch up with them, but GREAT win and 8-3 sound so sweet.

Rangers/Caps longest shootout

How is that guy slow and bad at puck handling?? That was one of the sicker breakaway moves i've ever seen. -

As bad a schedule as ND played this year, Oregon played an even worse one (their best win was against Fresno, who finished 3rd in the WAC....and they were LUCKY to win that game), and ND brings A TON of money to any bowl it goes to, so the BCS taking them makes a lot of sense. With that said, Notre Dame has a great offense and a miserable defense....so they need to hope for the right matchup in their BCS game or they will have issues. -
Not surprising. You know Kenny wants to get moving on alternate plans if Paulie isn't coming back.
-
They showed Eva Longoria leaving early....probably preparing to console Tony Parker after the game, I'm sure he doesn't care they lost. But back on track here.....awesome win by the Bulls. To win in SA with the refs screwing you all game is good stuff.

Are we sure it's not 47 million CANADIAN dollars?? That would only be about 8 million American, and thus a shrewd deal.

Good to see jerkwad Gary Barnett's team choke away a shot at a BCS bowl bid. Go Iowa State tomorrow!! Not only to screw over Barnett, but because I've followed them ever since they played NIU 2 years ago and last year, and now following them again this year. -

The Illini offense will improve a lot as soon as they stop with the Dee Brown at PG nonsense, moving him to off guard, and let Pruitt and Augustine have more free reign to attack inside. Their defense did look pretty good tonight though I thought, Wichita State isn't all that bad a team. -
The Lions old and clueless owner loves Millen, that's why he keeps get away with this. As for Jauron......lol.

Alicia Keys and Joss Stone. I refuse to pick one, and they are both spectacular.
-
LMAO....they WAY overpay for yet another player.....Hendry is such an idiot, him and Dusty make a great team.

NIU won the MAC West today and clinched a trip to the MAC Title game in Detroit next week and a certain bowl bid. It was a great victory and a wonderful scene after the game, congrats to Coach Novak and all the players for a great accomplishment!! -
Crash you were my fav player this year with the departure of my former fav player this offseason......you were a huge part of our world championship and I wish you the best in Philly, those fans will love you.

Poll: Do you like the Rowand for Thome deal?

Also, IF we can keep Paulie and have Thome DH everyday (which IMO means he DEFINITELY stays healthy) I think this is a REALLY REALLY good trade. -

This IMO is a good trade without question. And the folks that don't like it will come around, they are just very understandably saddened to lose such a great guy like Rowand. -

Adam Morrison looks like a total dork, plays like a total dork (can he jump?) but man, he can fill it up on the offensive end of the floor. Great game. -
Pax has officially lost his mind if they trade Luol, he's far and away the best talent on the team. PLEASE NO!

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) BRAD JOHNSON BABY - UNDEFEATED(as a starter)!!! Oh, and to anybody in this thread for this week - atleast you're not a Bills or Phins fan. Rowand and I were wondering which was worse, getting absolutely destroyed by a good but not great team in San Diego, or getting shutout and losing by 22 to a bad but talented Cleveland team. Good points, except meh to Brad Johnson. He'd have 2 losses in a row if his defense wasn't scoring him points. -

First time ever that a Packers loss made me feel sick. How many damned luck games can the Vikings win? -

Alford's teams always seem to peak in November by beating teams better than they are, so they victory for them tonight should come as no surprise. -
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) I don't know about that. I'd take Jim Miller over Orton. A-train had a fabolous rookie season. And I don't think the 01 defense is as good as the 05 d, but it's close. Yeah, but this years defense is a lot better, the offensive line is a lot better, the running game is better (not a lot, but butter). All the '01 team over this years is that they were a lot more lucky and Miller was decent, that's about it.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Theres not much doubt in my mind that Grossman has more skill than Orton but what good is it when hes always in a cast or rehab or something? That's exactly the point I am trying to make though, Grossman is more skilled. If a game comes (which it will eventually) where we fall behind and have to put the ball in Orton's hands, we are going to lose, whereas IMO Grossman is good enough to bring us back in that spot. I'm very happy with the win, and I hope we keep winning as long as Orton is in, but the Bears winning has nothing to do with Orton, it's all about the running backs, both lines, and the defense in general.
-
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) Grossman has a glass jaw. He needs to be replaced by a real QB. You know, one that can play more than 1 game without getting hurt! I don't think it can be said that Orton is a better QB than Grossman just because he stays healthy.....
