Time to re-litigate the decision to pull Lynn after 82 pitches in his last start.

When did Soxtalk become hot take central? The Pale Hose Talk section is crazy now with some of the “fans” who are posting. I swear some of these guys would be happier if the Sox were losing.

I really like Lynn. I hope they extend him before the season ends.

He probably didn’t want to show up the opposition by taking an extra base.

It’s possible we also have Burger as a 1B/DH type in the next year or so. That’s why it’s so nice Vaughn has shown to be comfortable in the OF. We’re jam packed with 1B/DH types, so it would be nice if Vaughn can be an OF in the immediate future.

I didn’t like LaRussa the first time he managed the Sox. I hated him with the A’s, and I wasn’t crazy about him with the Cardinals. He’s always been an ass. I was not a fan of his hiring. That said, I like how TLR has handled the position players. He plays TA, Yoan, and Abreu every day (as he should). The rest are rotated pretty consistently.They’re all being used and playing multiple positions, and most have contributed to wins. Even when it looks like a shitty Sunday lineup, most times they’ve produced. The starters have been used pretty well. We can pick apart a guy pitching a little too long here or there, but some of that responsibility falls on Katz and the pitcher to know and say when they are done. I feel like he’s done a bad job with the bullpen most of the year. It doesn’t help that several of them have been pretty unreliable, but he’s made some pretty questionable decisions. It’s not really fair that TLR gets blame for every loss and very little credit when they win. I wasn’t a fan of the decision to hire him, but some of this constant evaluation of every decision feels a little like Bears fans making every loss about Cutler when he played - even when the defense failed them several times in big spots.

Abreu’s defensive improvement is crazy. If a player had made this large of an improvement on the offensive side, people would probably attribute it to PEDs. I can’t think of many guys who have grown this much defensively. He must have put so much work in.

The first person who ate asparagus had to think he was dying, right?

If yermin had swung and corkscrewed himself into the ground on the eephus pitch, it would have made all the highlights and been ok with the Twins...

Seriously, it would be ok if Yermin was trying and struck out or popped it up, but smashing a HR is off limits? If the batter isn’t supposed to try, the other team should just surrender and forfeit.

I like them giving Vaughn a few innings in RF. Might be a long term fit for him?

This is me. Making small talk with people just because...not my idea of fun. I don’t really care about you. You don’t care about me. I’ll still give you a good tip. When I donate blood and get haircuts, I purposely wear nondescript clothing. I don’t need to hear about the time you went to Chicago. I’m firmly in the Jay Cutler “Don’t care” camp.

I’m a lifelong Bears fan, yet I always liked Rodgers (and Favre). Both are great players. I’m jealous of the success GB has had with them. That said, both have revealed themselves to be huge douchebags.

I’ll miss Andrew Shaw. He wasn’t great, but he always gave his all. It’s nice to see someone get the most out of limited ability.

I hope skeptics like Nugent get bad enough cases that they become advocates for getting the vaccine.

Just tuned in on the mlb app and saw the Merrifield SB call. I don’t like it either. I think he did come off the bag, but that probably happens most of the time. He was still over the bag. Based on this call, this crew should be calling safe on Double Plays when the fielder turning at 2nd isn’t 100% on the bag which the ball.

I was tracking this game at work, and they were up 4-1 when I stopped paying attention. Definitely stunned at the result.

Yermin is the type of guy the Cardinals, Twins and As always seem to have. Hopefully he has other teams scratching their heads saying, “Where’d this guy come from?” all season.

I actually went to the store and picked up an HDMI adapter so I could hook my phone/iPad to the tv because last year I wasn’t able to get the app to open up. This year it works. Not sure what changed, but I’m pretty happy. I have it on two TVs as well as the iPad and phone.

Just got the mlb app working on my tv, phone, and iPad. Thanks T-MOBILE! Tuned in to watch the game. Turns out opening day is tomorrow. Who knew?
