No red flags for Jeff Kent? He was pretty average until he turned 29 and went to SF. Guys getting better as they progressed through their 30s is a pretty recent phenomenon.

No point trading Kimbrel now for pennies on the dollar. Hold onto him and see if there is a market in Spring Training or as the season goes on. And I wouldn’t have hated resigning Hernandez for $4M.

Is there any thought to moving Moncada back to 2b? It would allow Burger to take over at 3b (not even sure he’s ready) and put the focus on finding an everyday RF and another SP arm. I know Moncada wasn’t good defensively at 2b (and he appears to not have the right body for it anymore), but he has experience. It doesn’t seem like the remaining 2b options are great, and I can’t picture either Burger or Vaughn playing 2b.

We went there almost 40 years ago when I was maybe 12-13 years old. I know I felt too old for it, but I remember my siblings and I using the golf carts. We were constantly being asked to slow down. I don’t understand why it goes silent when they talk to the post game crew during the game. It’s odd to hear one side of a conversation or total silence for 15-30 seconds.

Hmmm…I can’t think of anything about Haitians, Central, and South Americans that would make good, red-blooded Americans feel differently about them. I’ll have to think about this a little more..

I work in the injury compensation field, and have pretty extensive experience with my agency of people (literally more than a thousand) who have been sick and filed injury claims because they have had COVID-19. I am not aware of any who have missed more than a day or two of work and filed claims because of a bad reaction to the vaccine. And I’d venture to say most who missed work because of a vaccine reaction only took time off because it was offered in advance as part of a liberal leave policy to encourage people to get vaccinated.
