Right now, I'm filling the time that I used to listen to Dahl with Boers and Bernstein. I used to listen to the Boers and McNeil years ago. I"ve never been a huge fan of Bernstein. I'd forgotten just how bad callers are after a Bears loss (I downloaded B&B starting last Monday - after the Vikings game). The Monday show was terrible as a result of the callers. I listened to Tuesday, also. Much better. Actually, any time they interview someone, it's good. When they open up the phone lines . I think Dahl will be back, but I know his contract is guaranteed for 2+ more years. I don't see him rushing back unless he thinks he can be successful. He complained about the lack of ad support and the new rating system, so I think he'll wait it out for the right situation.

What will I listen to at work now? I've podcasted Steve Dahl's show for the last 1 1/2 years. I was able to listen to the whole thing while I worked. Now, he's gone, and I don't know what will fill up the empty space. http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/towert...e-dahl-out.html

They are the first band that I can remember being sponsored (Budweiser, I believe)>

I don't know if this has been posted, and I couldn't find the "funny videos" thread. Anyway, I came home from work yesterday, and for some reason my wife was watching a video that she found on youtube of Steve Guttenberg jogging naked (no pants). Now, I'm as big a fan of Police Academy as anyone, but I'm having trouble coming to grips with two things:1)my wife searched for Steve Guttenberg, and 2) Steve Guttenberg has a really nice ass. Sorry, I don't know how to post the video directly.

I was in 8th grade when Top Gun came out and went to see it with my friends. When Goose died, I almost lost it. I didn't see it coming. I'm sure there's others, but that's the one that always sticks out to me.

I had a Red Sox fan, co-worker who I hardly ever talk to make it a point to tell me that he was rooting for the Rays against the White Sox. His reason - he doesn't like Hawk's "He gawn!" call. I'm not sure how often a Boston fan living in Arizona is subjected to Hawk Harrelson, so his reasoning seems like a stretch to me. Either way, I'm so glad the Rays held on to beat the Sawx. My co-worker is exactly the kind of Boston fan that's made me go from rooting for them in 2004 to hating them and all things Boston now. That said, I want the Phillies to win the WS.
