Kopech with 25 starts and 119 innings this year. I think my goal for him was the 125-140 range. A couple more innings would have been nice but overall that workable to get him into a good range next year if his body holds up.

If Cleveland goes 11-8, the White Sox need to finish 15-2. Counting the one in progress, they have 6 remaining series. It is not far fetched to say they need to win every series and sweep 4 of them. Or in other words, if they lose 1 game to Cleveland, it is fairly likely that they can lose 1 more game this season.

Not only was tonight’s game unimportant but I also can’t think of any places where OF defense or the availability of bench players could have mattered.

The only thing missing the playoffs changes is a budget cut for next year.
