  1. "Miserable failure" wasn't yet linking to the White House website
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 02:24 PM) taller populations would be so due to proper diet. It's an example of the starvation of the people of North Korea. So, I conclude from the fact that the average American is now shrinking relative to the states in Europe that have better health care systems than we do that we should follow their health care systems with our own. Think the Senator would like that extension of his logic?
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 01:20 PM) Balta, Where is that from? Its not part of any Simpsons episode Ive seen (the newest one was Ned and Homer as bounty hunters)... Is that a future episode, maybe Halloween? I have no idea where it's from either, but it clearly exists and is now out on the internets. That's clearly from the correct people and has the correct, non-spliced voices, so it's either from a future episode or its' something they released solely to the internets.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 01:30 PM) Supposed to pitch game 3 last I read. Mlb.com
  5. ANYTHING to get Wise out of the 2 hole. Remember in 06 how Anderson and Uribe were just terrible in the 8-9 slots? Try taking one of those guys and putting him at #2. That's just how bad Wise has been lately.
  6. The national debt has reached $10 trillion dollars.
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 08:54 AM) Speaking of Thome's HR, did anyone see a distance on it? 461 reported.
  8. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) So do we go with a 4 or 3 man rotation? I think it's closer to a 3.5 man rotation. Because if we get this to game 5, Mark Buehrle is on normal rest, Javy would be on an extra day rest. And given the choice, Buehrle gets that ball.
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 1, 2008 -> 08:44 AM) That. The Rays are a young, inexperienced team, so psychology is huge here. They are going in very confident, and at home. If the Sox take game 1 and rattle the Rays, I think the Sox have a 2 in 3 chance of winning. If not, I think the Rays get that same 2/3 chance. Think about that though...the Sox need to win 1 game in Tampa to take home field away. If they win game 1, then the Sox have home field for the rest of the series, if the Rays win it, they keep home field at least to game 2. Without worrying about the psychology at all I think those 2/3 chances are right
  10. QUOTE (Yoda @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 08:07 PM) I wholeheartedly agree that Clayton should not be left behind. He will make the playoff roster and will be a key arm in that bullpen. In case that Vasquez does wet the bed early in the game, than you will see Clayton in there. Quite simply, we have no choice but to bring Richard along...aside from Thornton, who do you want as our other lefty in the bullpen other than him? Logan, Ramirez?
  11. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) think they should adopt that song again? Mark said after the game tonight that they have a couple others for this season. He didn't say what they were but said they were "pretty bad".
  12. Gameday had him popping the same numbers, although I don't know if TBS and gameday feed from the same gun (Gameday and CSN/WGN typically don't use the same gun)
  13. QUOTE (qwerty @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 07:43 PM) Prefer buehrle clearly, i am just hoping for a quality start out of javy. Winning game one just increases our odds so much. Vazquez has the ability to shock us all though, i am not one to believe that he will blow in every ''big game'' he ever has in his career. We have to win 1 game in tampa. Our starters for those 3 games would be Vazquez, Buehrle, Buehrle, each on normal rest, unless we move something around. That's our best chance.
  14. Javy Game 1 on normal rest. Buehrle Game 2 on normal rest Floyd game 3 on what, extra rest? Danks game 4 on extra rest? And Buehrle game 5 if necessary on normal rest? Frankly, we may not like Javy that much, but it's better than going with both Buehrle and Floyd on the road on short rest.
  15. QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 06:35 PM) Not even pinch run sometime next week? What makes you so sure? It's his punishment for making that big of a catch.
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 06:27 PM) Ozzie is a little out of it right now but he pretty much just said Vazquez will start game 1 in Tampa. Sadly, we really have no choice. Not with how we just worked these guys. If it shapes up normal...that means we need to win 1 game with Vazquez and Buehrle going on the road, hold home court behind Floyd and Danks, and then maybe Mark goes on normal rest in game 5 if it goes that far.
  17. Mark doesn't even know the name of this year's songs. "It's pretty bad".
  18. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 06:17 PM) f*** YEAH! And hey, biggest catch of Brain Anderson's life! I LOVED seeing him lay out for the winning catch, how dramatic! He will never, ever play baseball again for the White Sox.
  19. QUOTE (Queen Prawn @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) That catch was was unbelievable! Brian Anderson will never play again.
  20. BRIAN ANDERSON WILL NEVER PLAY AGAIN! SEE YOU IN TAMPA!
  21. Quite frankly...I have no problem at all with the Twins taking out Gomez.
