  1. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) I can agree with that part, but I wish they could balance that with developing the plot a bit faster too. They have been dragging out a few of the things way to much for my taste. EDIT: And what was up with that zombie in the well?? There is no way it swam there, as I don't think underwater streams work that way. So did it fall in? Which means there was a zombie on the property, meaning more will be coming? I just didn't get that at all. And how have they been so protected thus far? The house isn't that far the from highway, the school apparently isn't that far (with thousands of zombies there), and they have lights on at night all the time, along with vehicles going there a lot lately. Plus, how exactly do they have electricity? Is the power grid really still on? Are they on a generator? If so, that couldn't last long plus would be insanely loud and risky. Just so many unbelievable details that have bugged me in the last few episodes. I don't think there's really a "plot", as much as it's just about them surviving. The zombie fell into the well, as was already covered. To explain why the zombies aren't overrunning the farm, I think it's pretty far into the woods. I'm sure a random zombie wanders onto the premises occasionally, but it's probably too far away from the road to notice lights being on. The constant travel back and forth in cars hadn't been a problem up to this point because the family seems to have depended on horses. Keep in mind that the new people just arrived, so I'd expect their added vehicular travel will cause zombies to come that way more frequently. That'll probably strain the relationship between the travelers and the family. I don't know how to explain the power, though.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 6, 2011 -> 11:35 PM) Walking Dead needs to make some f***ing progress. I think they DID make progress. They started to develop the characters, and I think they did a fine job of it.
  3. This guy will take Thor, thank you.
  4. QUOTE (Tex @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) Hey Sparky, you shouldn't need to get that close Sweet revenge.
  5. QUOTE (Cali @ Nov 5, 2011 -> 08:28 PM) Now THIS is a list I can do... Prediction: Darth Vader #1 (wouldn't be the top guy for me, but on the list for sure) The Emperor would be higher on my list.
  6. They look like they were designed by a preteen.
  7. My guess is that he gets traded to the Sox at some point so that he gets a farewell tour with each team he was on for a significant amount of time.
  8. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) Two points. One being kids chose football lever baseball in college because for football you get a full ride, as with baseball you don't. Second, you get paid much quicker in the NBA and NFL than thou do in baseball. Meaning, in baseball you have your minor league stuff THEN you are still under control for years once (if) you make the big leagues. Dost thou?
  9. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 08:37 PM) Did not see that coming. Ditto. Maybe he'll get his title. I'll be rooting against it, though. I don't want any stacked teams winning it.
  10. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 08:52 AM) Attack the Block was excellent. Really liked that movie. The only thing was that Nick Frost was hardly in it. He was the only reason I saw it, as I loved Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz so much that I'll see anything with either of those actors in it. I've yet to be disappointed.
  11. Haha, this thread just got so much more awesome.
  12. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Nov 4, 2011 -> 12:01 AM) Lifes too short to hate most people. Especially gay people. Drink a beer instead. If God finds the time to hate f**s, then surely I can, too.
  13. I love slave rape. What are you, commies?
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) The guys who sell America oil hate gays too. Hard to get through a drive thru on a bike. It might be because I'm really, really tired right now, but I have no idea what you're getting at.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 11:24 PM) The third one really isnt all that bad, and it doesnt stray from the story at all, and explains a lot of the tension between Lycans and Vampires. None of the underworld movies are great by any means, but I will watch them when they come on I agree with this. And I saw the third one in theaters. Not sure why that matters, but those are movies I'd normally wait to see on TNT or something.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 03:50 PM) No way. That is not true at all. First of all the guy was NEVER hurt. Secondly he always protected his guys if someone threw at them. I'm going off of Black Jack's description.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) He's been in the league for 12 years. And yeah, he was quite good last year splitting time with Hannigan. I remember considering him one of the best in the game, and now he's splitting time.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) Milkman, This is a message board, I can conveniently do whatever I want. Im tired of all the negativity and your right, Im going to be condescending to people who are negative just to be negative. SS2K, We know that Ventura has been a widely respected player. As for the rest, as Ive consistently said since the beginning of time (when this message board started), I do not really believe that managers can make a huge positive impact. Its more that you just dont want a manager who is going to sink the ship because of an ego trip (Ozzie). Which is why I consistently dont really care about the coach, as long as they are a reasonable person (Ventura). Laughable.
  19. I really liked Everything Must Go. That makes two semi-serious roles I've seriously enjoyed Will Ferrell in, Stranger Than Fiction being the other.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 03:30 PM) To be fair, in the 60's and 70's that is the way the game was played. It is different today. They have pretty well taken that out of the game. I mean not being there for the team, having phantom injuries, etc.
  21. Wah wah wah. If people think it sucks so much, either start posting more often with counter arguments to the negative arguments or go to another site. Simple as that. I propose the reason that people make the sort of posts you see here in this thread is that they can't formulate a good argument why the negative stuff is wrong.
  22. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 02:41 PM) This "fight" is so overrated. In the angle they always show (from the catcher), Ventura looks like he gets pounded. But if you see it from the centerfield angle, Ryan's noogies barely land before Ventura gets out of the headlock and they go to the ground. 5:20 on the video. If you look at Ryan as he's falling, he looks like an old man. And then when you see Ventura after the brawl, he doesn't exactly look like a guy who just got beat up. Mickey Hatcher's the only guy who really took a beating, though, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w_7C1CDgdg Pretty good article about the fight. http://miscbaseball.wordpress.com/2009/08/...ing-nolan-ryan/ Great comment by Jack McDowell about Ryan. “The whole world stops when that guy pitches, like he’s God or something. He’s been throwing at batters forever, and people are gutless to do anything about it. I was glad Robin went out. Someone had to do it. He’s pulled that stuff wherever he goes. Too bad he doesn’t show up for his team until the next time it’s his turn to pitch. He’ll be home on the ranch. You watch, his team will fall just short again while he shows up on the DL.” I have to add that I like the '93 Sox as much as the '05 Sox. I'll always be hugely disappointed that they didn't win it all. The way that team grew up together from the late 80's into the early 90's was so great to watch as a fan. I've never been a fan of Nolan Ryan, always thought he was built up as more than he ever really was. That description makes him sound like another jagoff, Roger Clemens.
  23. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) Oops that was a slip up in my memory there. Clay didn't have a ton of evidence to go off, they knew the ATF agent was f***ing with them to a point but they decided killing him was the best choice, which no decent person would do. Same with killing JT, you don't just kill your friend because of money. Clay has a history of wiping out people that put him in a corner. I don't see that happening at all, there will be a major change IMO. If you're Clay, you absolutely have to take out Opie there. Sorry, it's a s***ty decision to have to make, but this guy was found to have a wire on him and money in his account magically after he was released from jail too quickly. He can take down your whole operation. You have to do it. John Teller was going to take down what the Sons were. That's the debatable one. Perhaps the Sons could have continued to exist, but they would just become basically a neighborhood group of guys riding around on their Harley's pissing everyone off who's trying to watch TV. From all accounts, he was poised to take over once Teller left anyway, so he wouldn't just do it to seize power in the way that Claudius did when he murdered Hamlet's father (which is the basis of the show). He did it to preserve what the Sons motorcycle gang had become, while he definitely made money off of it.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 3, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) Nah, that's impossible. The season will either end with things unresolved between Clay and Jax, or Clay dead. There's aboslutely no way things don't come to a head. As in, someone will clearly have to die at some point the next season?
