QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 11:53 PM) Oh well. I would have been interested to hear your review after a second viewing. I have a queue of around 100 movies on Netflix. It may take a while...

QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) Someone on the ESPN piece last night did mention that there was a couple having sex right behind 3rd base. Maybe that was... Wow, that girl jumps into the top 10 of biggest whores I have ever heard of. -

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 13, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) Nope, that backdoor area down there is Exit Only. And rather hairy, from what I've heard.

Why do people want Ian Snell? He has a 5.36 ERA.

Manny Acta says he's been fired...
Milkman delivers replied to High Mileage's topic in The Diamond Club
This is one of those strange scenarios. I like Acta and don't necessarily think he's a bad manager, but those numbers are just atrocious and the manager has to be fired when a team is that bad. It obviously isn't his fault that the team put up such terrible numbers (not entirely, at least), and it was basically a no-win job for him in the first place. All in all, that franchise is f***ed. -
I'm surprised nobody has agreed with my scenario.

Halladay to start the All-Star Game
Milkman delivers replied to High Mileage's topic in The Diamond Club
This is great news. When they speculated that Wakefield would be the starter, I was so angry that I didn't even make a post about it because I would've went on a tirade. That guy doesn't even deserve to be in the game, let alone the starter. -
What would you rather have?

QUOTE (SuperSteve @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 10:26 PM) WNBA championship. My logic, $5 bucks is lunch but a championship would make some people who I've never heard of really happy so good for them. About the Sox, would I give up ever winning the title for the $100k or would the Sox get to the WS and lose in a heartbreaking fashion because of me and we'd start fresh. Honest answer, give me the $100k. That was my initial thinking, and that's why I put so much thought into it. I felt guilty that I would take a small amount of money over something that would potentially fulfill the life's dream of some people, but given all of that, I'd still take the money. -
I can't stand the people who constantly use their Facebook status to complain about how much their life sucks or how they hate their present situation. There's a girl in particular who is still in college, and throughout the entire school year the status was always "cannot stand the stress," "can't wait to be home for break," etc. Now it's the summer, and it's "so over this place" and "can't wait to go back to school." Shut the f*** up. Stop making your problems my problems. I hate complainers (and yes, I see the irony in this post).

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 12:11 AM) What? I couldn't hold Brent Lillibridge's jock strap on a MLB field. Does that mean he doesn't suck? Yes, because he didn't win a World Series.

QUOTE (YASNY @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 11:32 PM) Crede may not be the player he once was, and he wasn't great with us by any means. But the man played a huge role in the stretch and post season run in 2005 and I believe he deserves a bit more respect than just saying he sucks. When the Sox hold a reunion of the team in 2025, you young guys will be hitting your feet for Joe Crede because you will remember what he did and it's very possible that 2005 may be the only World Series victory you have ever experienced at that time. I was 47, almost 48, years old when I saw my first Sox WS Championship. I appreciate those guys. Each and every one of them. Crede, more than most. Joe Crede sucks. Timo Perez sucks. Willie Harris sucks. Cliff Politte sucks. Dustin Hermanson sucks. I appreciate what they all contributed to the team in 2005, and yes, I will cheer for them all at a reunion. But, the above sentences are statements of fact either way.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 10:52 PM) Joe Crede sucks, Gavin Floyd just doesn't know how to get him out. Anyways, great win tonight, although it shouldn't have been that difficult. This team is better built to win games up there, so hopefully we can put up a 4-5 or 5-4 record at the Metrodome here in it's final season. We have seen Crede suck for years. There is no excuse why he should ever see anything but sliders low and away on every pitch. On another note, and I don't want this to sound like a complaint because I've wanted to see the doubles and opposite field hits for years, but it really feels like we haven't hit many home runs in the past month.

Wear the Cubs hat until I sit down, then take it off. How the hell is he going to enforce it once you're there?
-
QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 11:05 PM) Sorry, but what? I agree that Floyd is an above average pitcher, but you do realize his ERA is nearly 4.5 this year... right? And yes, I know he had a nice stretch where his ERA was below 1.5 and he was dominating, but to be "so f***ing good" you need to be "so f***ing good" for the entire season, not short stretches. I like Gavin as a middle of the rotation guy, but he's as overrated as they come on these boards. I realize this isn't the time or thread for this sort of thing, but it had to be said. Danks is the future ace. I'm not sure how anyone can even argue with that.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 10:26 AM) No i loved it. The score had people calling and complaining about it, but I think brock is the heel champ everyone wanted to appear. Completely agreed. I love hating him right now. I can't wait for someone to knock him out...if that is possible.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 11:51 PM) Do you think you'd watch it a second time? Give it a shot, tell me what you think. I already sent it back to Netflix. And even if I owned it, I probably wouldn't watch it again for at least a year. That's not a knock against the movie. I just don't watch movies numerous times unless I think it's one of the greatest movies ever or a really good comedy.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 01:07 AM) You notice he is gone, yet you do not notice the dramatic reduction of crime in the residential Streamwood area..... I've also noticed a strange amount of celebrity deaths in that same time frame. I posit that Kalapse is murdering them and somehow fooling the authorities into thinking it was natural causes.
