  1. QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 05:04 PM) That's how that site works, when I used to use it. You can upload your own MP3 or whatever you want, and then have it sent to your phone in a text. It sent me a text with a URL in it, and said to go to the URL to get the song.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 03:38 PM) Lions have had every chance to beat the Vikings today, but looks like they're going to lose again. I'm pretty excited to see a team go 0-16.
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 04:13 PM) myxer.com I just tried that. I don't have internet on my phone, so I guess it doesn't work for me. Is that correct? Is there a way to just have the song sent to my phone?
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) Clayton Richard, Aaron Poreda, and Jeff Marquez Thank you.
  5. QUOTE (beautox @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 01:04 AM) If the sox sign Furcal, move TCM to CF and let getz/nix/lilli fight it out; personally i think getz takes it in spring training and puts up career numbers similar to Adam Kennedy/Steve Sax/Mark Grudzielanek and with the potential for a little more power. all in all a very solid second basemen and 2 hitter. If thats the route the sox go, i would let fields and betemitt play it out for 3B with Beckham sliding over there in the not to distant future. Keep Dye and Jenks and sign Penny. S Furcal SS L Getz 2B R Quentin RF L Thome DH R Dye LF R Konerko 1B L AJP C R Ramirez CF R Fields 3B hopefully he develops. MB JD GF CR/AP/JM Penny going into '10 Hopefully Danks is ready to step into the Outfield Let Thome go, Move Konerko to DH and provided he has panned out move fields over to 1B let Slayer take over at 3B Wow, that's a lot of abbreviations. I honestly couldn't figure out all of those starters.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 08:57 AM) I usually agree with you on movies, but you couldnt be more wrong if you tried, especially on the theme of it being the best comic book movie of all time. The Thomas Jane punisher has barely any connection to the comic book character. If they changed the names of the characters in that movie and just made it an action/revenge movie about a guy whose family was killed, nobody would know the difference. The Punisher IS over the top, thats the way the comic book is. He just kills and kills in many different violent ways, its just the way it is. If thats the way the Ray Stevenson Punisher is, Im all for it. I didn't say it was the best, just one of the best. And when I said the Superman movie was terrible, I meant the one that just came out. It was incredibly boring.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 6, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) I didn't realize you were 48 years old. Ha, I must be the only 23-year-old that doesn't like anything that came out in the 2000's.

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Dec 6, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) Hate to rehash an old topic, but the second punisher was not one of the best comic book movies of all time. I watched one of those, Superman, earlier today. I might see this punisher just because of how violent and bad it's suppsed to be. I could've sworn there was talk awhile ago of making this movie rated PG-13. Superman was a terrible movie. It couldn't have been more boring if they tried. And by "the second punisher," which do you mean? The Thomas Jane version was one of the best comic book movies ever made, period.
  9. I think I'm the only person my age who basically doesn't like any new stuff. I like something around 1 in 100 of the new songs I hear.

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 6, 2008 -> 07:37 PM) By "first one", do you mean Thomas Jane's or Dolph Lundgren's? Ha, the Thomas Jane version. I hope you were joking thinking that I'd say the Dolph one was any good.

I saw The Punisher: War Zone earlier. It wasn't nearly as good as the first one. The first one was one of the best comic book movies ever. This one completely changed the storyline (which I found unnecessary and disliked) and was way, way over the top. EDIT: It really missed Thomas Jane.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Detroit Lions Washington Nationals LA Clippers Arizona Cardinals Seattle Mariners Chicago Cubs Atlanta Hawks New Orleans Saints Memphis Grizzlies Kansas City Royals Phoenix Coyotes Milwaukee Brewers I actually had to look up this team. I completely forgot about them.
  13. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 5, 2008 -> 03:46 PM) Hanley was not a find. Everyone knew he was a top notch prospect. In fact, BA rated him Boston's #1 prospect in 2003, 2004, and 2005. It's safe to say you won't need to give up that type of prospect for Cantu. The Red Sox organization, and especially their fanbase, really soured on Hanley Ramirez in his last few seasons there.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 10:31 AM) Who knows if Opie is going to figure things out; I was actually surprised when I saw him put that SOA jacket on to head to the funeral. The finale was really good, it was something that was needed. Jax tried to burn the book, and then had it taken, but it found it's way back via Piney's crazy ass. The entire scene in the safe-house was great. I don't know which sequence was better... praying Opie's old-lady doesn't get killed by Tig, or Jax taking off his jacket and heading over there and laying a beat down. We might see the building of a new charter by Jax and crew. I have to think quite a few would head to a new crew, or there will be a lot of strife and Clay (and Milkman, I definitely think Bobby would head Clay's way, he's got to be pissed at Opie at this point for freaking during the murder) will have to go down. Seeing this get resolved will be quite entertaining. I already can't wait for season 2. There is no show I enjoy better. I don't know. I think Bobby helping Opie in the first place shows that he's a good guy. And I think that's how the line is basically going to be drawn.
  15. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 09:14 AM) Well, with Jax, Opie and the old guy probably on the same page, where does it go? Do they stop running guns? They have to make cash somehow to stay strong, otherwise they will end up getting pushed out, and there is only so much money to be made in the garage. The first few episodes next season should be explosive, if the writers have any balls, as they left way too much tension hanging there at the end. Hope they follow thru and deliver something good, whichever way it goes. I think they continue to run guns. I think we definitely see a power struggle next season. A big part of it will probably be seeing who sides on which side. So far, there's Clay and Tigs on one side. On the other, it's Jax, Opie, Piney, and Half-Sack. I'd also guess that Juice is on this side. We don't know yet where Bobby, Chibs, and Smiley (if that's his name) will go.
  16. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Dec 4, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) He is 15, all teenager. The situation I described above actually happened last year. And I agree with Lostfan, the kids have no privacy in these situations. I expect them to try and get away with stuff, and until pushed, I let some of it go. I saw the porn on his computer, and it was pretty soft core stuff, and only a few pics, so I didn't say anything, until he messed up to the point where I had to put him in his place. When I was a kid, it would have been a belt, not stuff taken away. That makes sense to take it away from him when he's pushing boundaries. I was just thinking how old he is, and since he's 15, it's only natural for a kid to be looking up porn.
  17. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Dec 3, 2008 -> 06:27 PM) Kids are stupid about things like that. My son only recently figured out how to erase the brower history. Although I have informed him that I can still find out where he goes because compared to him, I am a computer God, and then proceeded to show him on his computer where he had TRIED to hide some porn, and then recited the list of things said on hi Myspace page that he didn't know I knew about. STILL tried to insist that he didn't have anythign to do with the page, despite several specific messages on there between him and his girlfriend. Sometimes it just takes an aa whippin'. I simply removed everythgin from his room except the bed and 2 sets of clothes, which were also clothes he didn't like. My room and the office were pretty crowded with his desk, computer, guitar, etc. but he slowly earned it back, and either learned his lesson, or now hides stuff very well. I even had a friend who is a computer genius over last weekend take a look at it, and can't find anything that is new. Good luck, Lostfan. It aint easy being the bad guy. How old is he?
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 3, 2008 -> 06:30 PM) lol. the reason she is allowed to have a myspace (she is 11), unbeknownst to her, is that she never remembers to log out so I spy on her conversations fairly regularly. Most of it is mindless 6th grade chatter. That doesn't seem a little too much to you?
  19. I've missed well over 100 posts since I last read this thread. Has anything been finalized? Do we have exact names yet?
  20. I thought it said "Beer Midget," and I thought this was an incredible idea.
  21. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) Ozzy Osbourne died in a plane crash back on March 19th, 1982 with his brilliant guitarist Randy Rhoads. I have no idea who this twat that has replaced him since then is, but he sucks and ruined a wonderful name. QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) I blame the money-hungry puppetmaster much more than the drug-addled, half brain-dead 60 year old (well, 60 tomorrow, anyway). Sharon Osbourne is an absolute pig who will stoop to any depth for a buck. These are the responses I was expecting.
  22. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 08:12 PM) I hope but the "experts" (Rogers and Rosenthal) says the Sox are trimming payroll. Maybe I am misinterpreting this as next year's payroll is going to be significantly smaller when really it's that we are freeing money to go after players. The math was already done in this thread. If the White Sox trade Dye, which they most likely will do, they will have cut over $40 million. There's no way they drop that much. Nobody would show up. They might drop the payroll about $10-15 million, I'd think.
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 07:52 PM) We all know your opinion on him.... Fact or opinion? In this situation, they're the same.
  24. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 07:48 PM) Just to get the other opinion, Flowers IS 22 in A ball. I dunno dudes. And Javier Vazquez sucks.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 2, 2008 -> 06:36 PM) Some of us are doing the googling of him now. What would you like to know? He was solid in the Pittsburgh organization, traded in the Laroche deal to the Braves, he struggled some with the Braves as they moved him up pretty quick, and last year was pretty rough for him althoguh I'm trying to find out if he was hurt for part of the year. I've only ever heard his name, and know nothing of him. Any information would be helpful.
