  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 08:17 PM) What does Chuck have to do with us drafting Rose? Quentin=God=Chuck(in your world) So he was saying Thank God we didnt draft Beasley
  2. i was going to post something just like this earlier, I had the exact same thought. Whats the point in suspension if you never actually remove the player from playing the game like you do with position players?
  3. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 04:21 PM) TCQ is to my baseball world as Kim Kardashian is to my butt world. large and in charge

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 04:01 PM) Why does that comic even warrant a remake? Daredevil has a good story, has a pretty strong following. A bad movie shouldnt mean that the franchise is never attempted again QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 04:08 PM) Obvoiusly he doesnt have nearly the acting ability of one acting great Ben Affleck. Gigli deserved an oscar, not a razzie

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:45 PM) Stratham would be an incredibly inapproriate choice to play Daredevil. Why is that?
  6. I love when the Sox hit lucky homeruns!
  7. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) bartolo never seems to be talking to teammates you arent supposed to talk with food in your mouth
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) And he was that when he was tearing up the minors too. Him doing this in the majors when healthy shouldn't be much of a surprise. thats the thing that drove me nuts about the Bernstein comment. There is no track record in the majors that can be counted on with any sort of certainty, but if you look at his minor league numbers you would think that Quentin is just doing his thing. Which he is.

QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:15 PM) I was perfectly fine with how Ben Affleck played Daredevil, Stratham would be good for a bad guy though, hated Colin Farrel. LMAO, i dont even have a response to this, thats just too funny.
  10. QUOTE (goblue5699 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:12 PM) He had something like 20% of his fly balls last year hit for home runs, which was good for about 7th in baseball. He doesn't have the track record in the majors where you would project that to happen again this year. He also hit 5 "lucky" home runs last year. Those two things along with him coming off a wrist injury and it seems pretty reasonable to think that he wasn't going to hit 40 home runs if he stayed healthy all year. http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/baseball...2k9_30qwhitesox ahh, the lucky homerun stat. that was a cute thread on NSBB
  11. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) THOME!!! By the way Quentin's leading the majors in homers again. Im going to preface this by saying I love Boers and Bernstein, but I was listening to them before the season started and they were talking about Quentin and Boers said "I dont think Quentin is going to come close to what he did last year homerun-wise", to which Bernstein followed up his comment by saying "Every metric points to Quentin regressing and not having a year like he had last year." I cannot WAIT until September rolls around so I can ask him what Metrics he was referring to like he does to callers
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:34 PM) The guy was an awful wrestler though. He constantly screwed up moves. Its hard to tell either way. he didnt have a lot of time to get better, he was in and out of the WWE pretty quick, and most of the time he was in the WWE he was being held off of television because UPN didnt want him on. Regardless, he cut some pretty good promos, and he wasnt afraid of the heat.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:36 PM) Colon's outing on Friday was 100 times better than the box score makes it look. I meant to ask about that, I was out all night and wasnt able to watch the game.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:24 PM) Can someone elaborate on what happened and what is currently going on? LOL, I am in the same boat. Gameday has been sitting on "Wilson Betemit Flied Out to Left" for the last 10 minutes
  15. http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/clout_...takes-fall.html Who needs a background check? You work as a busboy at Ruth Criss'? Thats good enough for me and this 58,000 job!
  16. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 01:08 PM) Any word on what happened to Upton? still waiting......
  17. Why did Kapler replace upton?
  18. For some reason I thought of the character Muhammed Hassan/Marc Copani today and checked out his wikipedia page. That guy certainly went on to do nothing. That was quite a storyline though, the heat that guy generated was insane
  19. I understand the 7:11 starts for the Sox, but whats going on with the 6:08, 6:38 starts for the Rays?
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) The player the White Sox really could use, as probably so could everyone else, is the 1990-1996 version of Tony Phillips. He could play just about every position equally as mediocre. Good enough where he wouldn't embarrass himself. Led off. Walked a ton. Drove in runs. Hit homers, and drove the opposition nuts. Yeah he was that good kind of crazy when he was on your favorite team, and the guy you wanted banned from the league when playing for the opposition. One of a kind when it came to playing the game, he had a hitch in his swing that you wouldnt want anyone mimicking, but it worked for him and his timing. He was certainly scrappy
  21. QUOTE (WCSox @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) Holy Hyperbole, Batman! consider the source
  22. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 10:59 AM) It's not looking like that will happen with the Twins. Young might need a new start with another team. He didn't fit the Twins youngster mold and now he is off his game. I dont know what a new start could do for him again. The guy is starting, its not like the Twins are holding him back or anything. He plays a decent to good defense, and was regarded as a really good hitter, I dont know why that wasnt in the Twins mold of young players.
  23. Hey look, its the Washington Natinals
  24. NOTE: THE BELOW COMMENT IS TAKEN FROM A DEADSPIN WRITE-IN AND SHOULD BE REGARDED AS SPECULATION however it is still pretty interesting if this was something that is known, I missed it. But DAAAAAAAYUM that is quite the explanation of Renteria's problems in beantown

Jason Statham is rumored to be the next guy to play Daredevil. I could live with that, Statham is good at playing a badass
