It would be slightly funny to have a Luol and a Lawal on the same team

QUOTE (Texsox @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 10:26 AM) Basically it doesn't seem to rise to the level of assault in my estimation. I can't think of anyone doing hard time for throwing a shoe. From what I read, the charges all stemmed from insulting, and that just seems wrong to give someone two years for what is tantamount to flipping him off. Say Bush didnt have those catlike reflexes and took the shoe to the forehead and Bush somehow got stitches, would you be playing your neverending devils advocate game then? "This is no big deal, it was only a shoe. It is tantamount to throwing a shirt at him, whats the big deal?" The fact is that the guy threw a shoe at the president in the middle of a press conference, probably with the intention of hitting him and completely embarrassing him in front of the Iraqi nation. Our laws and consequences dont matter, because he isnt being tried by the US. Insult, Assault, it doesnt matter, he is being tried by his own peers

QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 23, 2008 -> 07:42 AM) He's not as bad as Madden. I facepalmed when they showed the "would the Packers be in the playoffs question without Favre"? question. Something like 60% of the country said yes. Really? So you downgrade to a less productive QB who throws more interceptions and that gets you in the playoffs? I guess Favre plays defense too. Rodgers is the answer for that team, plain and simple. IMO they did absolutely the right thing by finally calling Favre on his drama queen act. The last two weeks he has been equally as bad if not worse -

Kornheiser is just brutal when it comes to talking about Favre. If there is ANY connection to Favre, Kornheiser will beat the point down with a hammer. It was just disgusting last night, I had to mute the last quarter and OT and put on Joniak -

Hester has an entire highlight reel of fingertip drops this season. Admittedly some of the balls are pretty difficult to catch, like the one tonite, but it just seems like he has a lot of drops that regular wide recievers make. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) Kevin Payne needs to learn how to tackle and not go for the hit everytime. If you were talking about Ryan Grants touchdown run, that was Craig Steltz that bounced off of Grant -

That was a truly awful 3 first plays that Turner called there. Not a good way of setting a tone -

Ha, that gold-diggin b*tch Tyna Robertson is being threatened with jailtime for missing a courtdate regarding her failed attempt to get money out of Michael Flatley. -
QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) In the "business" we call that a "fivehead." One step above a "forehead." I heard it as "Fo' head Mo-lotty" which means "More Forehead than body" LOL, it still cracks me up And Erin Andrews is still hot to me.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 01:42 PM) Ironically, Arn Tellem is one of JR's favorite agents to deal with. Is that Konerkos agent? I know there are a few Tellem players with the Sox

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) Yeah, it seems to me that a 'scene' would need it's own signature sound. I saw tons of Ska out of St Louis in the late 90's. More than I could handle, they loved that stuff at SIU(particularly the Urge, with good reason)

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 12:47 PM) what? http://www.hhgregg.com/ They just moved here to Indiana and are quickly moving west. LOL, I have never heard of that company, it looked like you pounded on your keyboard and posted, so i followed suit

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 12:36 PM) 159th and Harlem. Hmmmm, I hope you're not insinuating that black and mexican girls are streetwalkers or something. :-\ No, you insinuated that girls like Podsedniks wife are seen walking down the street every day. I would like to know what street that is, just in case. I like to weed out the "ugly white chick" streets in favor of the "holy cow model hot white chicks" streets

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 12:13 PM) I dunno, Pods' girl looks plain, she looks like every other blonde girl that you see walking down the street. ...Then again, I'm a white guy that only dates black and mexican girls. What streets do you walk on everyday?

Has anyone read up on Sly Stallones upcoming movie "The Expendables"? It should be fun, Dolph Lundgren, Sly, Jason Statham, Jet Li, all soldiers hired on for jobs that deem them expendable(ha, see how that works?) Van Damme said he didnt want to do it because he wouldnt get the most face time

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 09:58 AM) It's amazing to me when I look at Arnold's movie catalog and compare him to his modern day equilavent, Will Smith. Arnold annihilates him. There probably won't be another person like Arnold, whom was involved with so many quality (IMO) action films. On the issue of financial draw of course Smith wins; but look through his IMDB page. Even with ID, MIB, Enemy of the State (movies I enjoyed him in) his career seems to be overstated. Whoever said it earlier in this thread was right, he hasn't done anything worth a damn in awhile. He's obviously trying to grab himself an oscar before it's all said and done. He has tried the oscar grab a few times. Ali, 6 degrees of seperation, Happyness, 7 lbs, thats nothing new to WS. Arnold, Sly, Van Damme all kill WS in the action movie categories. Arnold was just handed goldmine after goldmine script, his run in the 80's was amazing. I like to give Sly a little more credit because he actually wrote a good portion of the movies he starred in, which to me is pretty impressive. Van Damme was just fun to watch, although the splits trick got old

QUOTE (The Critic @ Dec 22, 2008 -> 09:55 AM) I never had a pleasant shopping experience at a Circuit City. Bad layout, disinterested staff, insufficient stock of sale items. It's no wonder they got thoroughly thrashed by Best Buy. Im wondering who is going to rise up to challenge Best Buy in the next year or so. Fry's? Radioshack? Nobody?

I walked into a "2 days left!" Circuit City on Saturday at Rand and Arlington Heights Road. It was pathetic in there, its real strange to see a store stripped down to nothing and selling everything that is seen
