  1. QUOTE(Brian @ May 15, 2007 -> 09:16 PM) 6 minutes left and Piston fans are leaving. Quitters! I know! and Mike Fratello called them out on it!
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 15, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) Tyrus Thomas can jump in case you guys didn't know. It took Skiles 3 games before he really unleashed Thomas effectively on Detroit, but he finally did it. now that he is running Thomas out there earlier, it is really speeding the pace of the game up. even though Detroit is a great defensive team, they have a few players that arent responding well to this fast paced up and down game the Bulls are playing. I dont doubt that the Pistons have a run in them in the last quarter, but the Bulls have beaten them pretty handily in the first 3 quarters.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 15, 2007 -> 07:23 PM) Did anyone see Bubba Ho Tep? I was thinking of renting it. I was just curious what others thought of it. Totally random and totally hilarious, I loved every minute of it. Ossie Davis and Bruce Campbell have a couple of scenes that just leave me in stitches.
  4. Tyrus Thomas hit a spin-to-the-baseline kiss off the glass that was just beautiful. i dont trust him to do it regularly, but it was nice to see something other than a dunk or free throw from TT.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 15, 2007 -> 07:23 AM) We all know he made the movie Sky High what it is today Hey, i can enjoy watching a Bruce Campbell movie with my 6 year old daughter courtesy of Sky High.

Bruce Campbell is, and forever will be THE MAN. On one hand I want him to make an uber-successful movie where everyone will realize how great he really is. On the other hand, I dont want those bandwagon fans killing his good name.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 15, 2007 -> 01:48 AM) I don't own any of his music, nor have I ever seen him in concert, but I like Manson. He's a really bright guy and a master at manipulating the media. I'm glad he is in rock music today. I own almost all of his music, and I love his niche that he has carved out. Still, it looks like he is making love to a 12 year old.

I dont know if anyone has seen marilyn mansons new video, "When the Heart Guides the Hand", but it features his new 19 year old (Manson is 38 years old) girlfriend/fiancee Evan Rachel Wood (starred in the Movie 13), and they are truly having sex on camera. You can see the video on www.wwtdd.com
  9. And Edge gets superkicked into Smackdown, obviously Ortons new legend to "kill" is HBK
  10. Without warning and without prior notice to parents is simply inexcusable. I am amazed and disgusted that the entire heirarchy in this school gave the ok to do this and not one of them disagreed with it( i dont believe the principal had no idea). The entire school should be fired and re-staffed.
  11. has Val Venis ever had a "hey day" in WWE, or has he always been a jobber?
  12. QUOTE(Shadows @ May 14, 2007 -> 08:14 PM) So basically theres no way The Great Khali beats John Cena at Judgement Day What a load of crap, I am so sick of John Cena.. I wish he would lose, but theres no way he will after making Khali seem unbeatable and then beating down Cena in these segments without any effort.. I cant see anyway he wins at Judgement Day, hell get an FU I can almost see it already You know what though, I think it would be 10X worse if Khali came away with the belt. At least Cena can give the appearance of a match with a small variety of moves. Khali is a big joke of a wrestler. I would be more pissed if McMahon stuck the belt on Khali than if he left it on Cena.

  14. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 14, 2007 -> 11:10 AM) Why did he put him in the #2 hole if he doesn't think that's the right place for him? Because right now he is hitting better than most of the team, and Ozzie is maximizing that. Ozzie is banking on the rest of the team coming around and sliding Uribe and Iguchi back to their normal spots, but Iguchi is so deep in this funk that Ozzie is forced to drop him in the order.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 13, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) Willie and I have talked about this a bunch, but for the most part...NBA crowds suck. Obviously GS has been quite the exception. The Golden State crowd acts like a NCAA crowd. They are rowdy andreally into the game. Its just a totally different vibe.
  16. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 13, 2007 -> 07:49 AM) 1st half 2006 (#1 offense in AL) 2nd half 2006 (#9 offense in AL) 1st half 2007 (#13-14 offense in AL) How can anyone argue there is no correlation? Sure, Thome and Pods not being healthy...especially Jim...that's ONE factor. But that doesn't explain Crede, Konerko, Iguchi and Dye all looking like shadows of their former selves. We CAN'T win scoring 3.9 runs per game, we need to at least be in the mid 4's like the 2005 team. I willing to adopt the idea Sweeney can adequately replace Pods, but Thome, Dye, Konerko, Crede and Iguchi all need to pick it up for this team to go anywhere. Of this group, i think Thome, Dye and Konerko are the players that NEED to be better. And I dont see any reason why they wont. And actually Thome just needs to get healthy, not better. Like i said before, its a long season. These players will be near their career averages before long. And to get to their career averages, they all will have to go on a streak. Hopefully those streaks coincide.

QUOTE(knightni @ May 12, 2007 -> 11:36 PM) So, Gooch is struggling... Does this mean that Greg Walker learned Japanese? LMAO! Zing!
  18. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ May 13, 2007 -> 07:16 AM) Very well...and I'll continue to say that we're not in that top or elite group with Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, and possibly the Yankees and Angels. We're very similar to the A's, if I had to make a comparison. I didn't think Minnesota would struggle this badly. They will give it another month, but they have the same issue with Torii Hunter we have with Buehrle and Dye. Our offense is still the worst in the AL after the last 2/3rd's of a season. It's difficult to argue with that measuring stick. We're 4th in pitching, ERA-wise. I doubt we can be first, but we need to stay 3-5 in that area and get our hitting/runs scored somewhere around 7-10th in the AL to have any chance. Are we closer to being an "elite" team or a rebuilding team? I would say the latter. It's unfortunate, because we have the makings of a great bullpen, to go with our strong starting pitching. Crede, Konerko, Erstad, Dye and Iguchi have looked really bad recently. Iguchi, Crede and Konerko are all huge question marks to me. We can't win without at least two of those three guys hitting. We don't have anything close to resembling prospects at SS or 2B. The jury's out on Anderson and Fields as well, at best. What we do have is lots of pitching prospects, and the more legit prospects you have, the higher the odds that one or two will actually make it and become members of the rotation. I'm encouraged that Honel seems to coming back onto the radar screen as a prospect, and Danks has impressed nearly everyone. We went through a 167-95 stretch of play in 2005 and 2006 (until the All-Star break). We would have won 105 games last year if continued to play like we did in the first half (best offense in the AL). Obviously that didn't happen, for a number of reasons. Since then, we're 51-56. That's an incredible drop-off in the level of play. Which is the prevailing trend? Well, we'll find out in the next 6 weeks, but having KC simply hand us four games out of four doesn't mean we're a good team or that anything is "fixed." All I have to say about this is that there is more than "Elite" and "Rebuilding". I agree with a lot of the things you have said, but i remember much of the same things being said about the 2005 team for the entire year, all the way up to the first game of the playoffs. Sometimes you get the breaks, sometimes they get you. I really dont see a firesale happening. At all. This team would have to go on an extended losing streak for KW to even think about it.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:26 AM) kingpin is in jail ;p, and while it seemed a lot of people didnt like daredevil, i think Afflek was really good in it, now Colin Farrel Wow, I actually think the exact opposite. I think Affleck mailed it in for a quick paycheck and hoped that the franchise fanbase would push along a sequel. I think Farrell played a coldblooded killer who enjoyed his work pretty well.
  20. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 12, 2007 -> 09:46 PM) PK's been playing it for about 7 or 8 more years though. Didnt Erstad win a GG there?
  21. Dye isnt dead in that at-bat
  22. Did the Sox face Duckworth in the WS?
  23. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 12, 2007 -> 09:22 PM) You know you're going to see the hero cuts this inning. Too bad we can't have Sweeney/Erstad/Uribe up again... LOL, like the first swing Konerko took
  24. Mac finds his testes, places them in his jock, and finishes the inning. Nice
