I dont think this is as big of a deal as some posters are making it out to be. When you switch a 3rd base coach, then you notice a difference.

Maybe Raines wants to give more input to Ozzie from the bench. You know, he cant just turn to Pods when he gets to first and say "I think you can steal this bag on the second pitch", but on the bench he can tell Ozzie, and Ozzie can relay the sign to Cora. I also tend to believe that Lupus is playing a part in this.

Its not even a point of contention, Stapp fell off the map faster than Wile E Coyote in the past 5 years. This is just icing on the cake.
