  1. QUOTE(samclemens @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) i know...since i waited a few days, the content of my post is completely neutralized! damn! everybody knows that posts that are late must be criticized. who responds to a post that is relatively old, anyway?? No, responding to posts at a later date is fine. But your response was rather lame and after the fact, so I pointed it out.
  2. QUOTE(samclemens @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) you are right, this guy doesnt deserve to die, and snitches lying in court are usually what puts people in the chair. happens in almost every death row case! you waited one day to drag this post up and say that?
  3. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/02/19/brothers....d.ap/index.html You think these guys were a little paranoid? That must be some damn good ganja those guys are growing if they believed that they could domesticate a mountain lion.
  4. QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) Real gm's >>> this one. oh well, ESPN dissapoints me yet again.
  5. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine This is kind of neat, although I wonder what all of the qualifications have to be to even out a trade(to me it seems like money, and thats about all). I successfully traded Tim Thomas, Othella Harrington, and Ben Gordon for Kevin Garnett. NOW GET MOVING PAXSON!
  6. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 12:02 PM) What he's listed at might have been his weight in high school. Looks like they asked him to come to camp around 207, and he put on a few pounds instead.
  7. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Feb 19, 2006 -> 10:03 AM) You feel better now? Acting like that over a non-issue? lol. It is still funny.
  8. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 18, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) This weather is teh suck. fixed
  9. This link says "session timed out" or something like that. Can anyone tell me another link?
  10. /smiles and flips his $70 gamecube on. And they say the revolution is going to be in the $150-200 range.
  11. i know one thing. Its motherfucing cold out there.
  12. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) According to Bruce Levine, Ozzie wants Tim Raines on the bench because he's much more of a talker than Harold Baines (really?). Rock will be able to share his base-running and hitting knowledge a lot better on the bench than Harold. hmmm, I know someone who said that. Me.
  13. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) Because Rock Raines is in the top ten in stolen bases in the history of the game. I thought he had a big impact with the sox being one of the best base stealing teams in the league. Sure you can talk about Pods but it happened with other guys to. Jermaine Dye had 11 stolen bases. People in Oakland were comparing him to Konerko in terms of speed. Plus I think Baines is a pretty good Bench Coach. So there is your f***ing reason. I didnt even phrase that last post with (much)sarcasm. I was honestly curious why you kept saying it was a bad move without saying why. Tell me what the big difference is? Rock isnt coaching guys up on how to steal bases during games. He does that in workouts with players, his in-game job isnt as much strategy and observation at 1st base. if he ever has aspirations of becoming a manager as speculated, he is going to have to sit next to the coach sometimes during the game and learn the managers game from there. I dont think this is as big of a deal as some posters are making it out to be. When you switch a 3rd base coach, then you notice a difference.
  14. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 01:57 PM) I really hope this article is a bunch of crap or a misunderstanding. This is not a good move. why is that Josh. Any real reason besides you dont like it?
  15. they dont call them the Hilltoppers for nothing
  16. Maybe Raines wants to give more input to Ozzie from the bench. You know, he cant just turn to Pods when he gets to first and say "I think you can steal this bag on the second pitch", but on the bench he can tell Ozzie, and Ozzie can relay the sign to Cora. I also tend to believe that Lupus is playing a part in this.
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) I don't think we are in the top 3 for most improved teams in the AL nor would I count Kong as a free agent signing. Yes, it's an unwritten rule, but that category usually belongs to players signing with new teams. semantics - schemantics. If you dont want to view Kong as a free agent signing then you can call it player retention. Either way, the Sox are better off with Konerko than they are without him.
  18. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/02/17/marijuana...t.ap/index.html 270 million dollars worth of weed in Washington state alone last year. Holy cow.
  19. You see what happens when I go to the game? The first Bulls game I go to in the UC(only been to one game ever, in 93 playoffs vs Atlanta) and the Bulls win by 30. Now everyone needs to start throwing me down free tickets and the Bulls will win out for the rest of the season
  20. Davis looks like a huge weight has been lifted from his shoulders
  21. That is the most painful thing I can imagine doing to myself. Oh my dear lord this man is a moron.
  22. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) What band? Curious to see if we know the same people, since few bands in the area have "made it". Revis. They were on the Daredevil soundtrack, the official MLB 2001 video game(i dont remember if it was 2k1 or MVP 2001), I lived with them for about a year, right up until they moved out to California to "hit it big". They did good, toured on the Nintendo Fusion tour and briefly with Pearl Jam, but they broke up after their egos blew up a little.
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) And I thank God every day for making that band go away. That makes two of us. The radiostation I worked at had Creed on heavy rotation. My ears bled.
  24. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) No. This is hardly "unusual" behavior for bands. The only odd aspect if Stapp's supposed religious side. But he's been hammered in public and on stage recently, so he's obviously not all he says he is. Plus, do you really think this will hurt their image??? They're guys, nobody gives a crap about them. These video sales will be really low. Scott Stapp was married at the time of this video. He preaches about his christianity and how it leads him through life, he sings about it, and then he goes and gets trashed and gets in fights with other bands, with his own band, with security at an airport, and now he has a sex tape which occured with groupies at the time he was married and singing about his newborn son. Do I really think this will hurt Kid Rocks image? Hell no, this is his fanbase's image of Kid Rock. This is no big deal. Do I think this will hurt Scott Stapps image? Do you know how popular Scott Stapp and Creed were in 1999? Do you know how popular Scott Stapp is now? Its not even a point of contention, Stapp fell off the map faster than Wile E Coyote in the past 5 years. This is just icing on the cake.
