FLINT, MICHIGAN
QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 10:23 PM) Which is funny, because he ignores EVERYONE who had a chain in this mess up until he gets to the ONE Republican in the line, the Governor, who knew about it last and had absolutely nothing to do with its inception. The local Democrats in the town council? Ignored. The government agencies like the EPA and so on that knew about this? Nothing. But the Gov/ IMPEACH HIM! i mean who cares what political party they are affiliated with. Fire them all and arrest them all. Why even draw the line and start pointing fingers

2015-2016 NFL Thread
Broncos defense has to go even more beastmode than they did yesterday against New England, and I dont really see how that is possible. Plus, Cam isnt a sitting duck in the pocket like Brady is, I really cant see any scenario that the Broncos win this game

2015-2016 NBA Thread
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 07:52 PM) Lol at Mark Jackson calling that good straight up defense by Tony Snell. I'll take the no call but that is clearly a foul. Lebron stuck his arm out too, I thought it was a good no call

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman
QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 06:10 PM) Tell us more about your brilliant championship plan. Oh wait, that's right. You don't have one. Oh boy, I feel the heat from this burn First step in my plan would be to get rid of Gar. Whether Paxson reassumed his role as GM or they hire a new one, it's pretty clear that Gar is a very divisive force in the front office.

Don Cooper At It Again?...
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 04:57 PM) Do you really think that if someone criticized the team and probably said something to the effect that his bosses are "clueless and they suck" and cooper replied, "yes they do but we are trying to get better" that they would sell more tickets? I'm with you where I really wish he wouldn't do that. But I understand his point of view. None of us would like it if we were yelled at work in front of everyone that we suck. However, it really doesn't make that much of a difference in attendance or the team. The thing is, this isn't at work. This is on social media. This isn't Cooper being heckled on the field and losing his s*** on a fan, this is someone who sent him(supposedly) a private message to tell him this. If someone I didn't know sent me a private message and told me stuff like that, and I responded similarly I can tell you that A: my employer wouldn't care and B: I wouldn't be worried about responding similarly. And I highly doubt people in the front office were like "holy s*** Cooper just told off a fan, better tell him to knock it off"

Don Cooper At It Again?...
The moral of the story is Facebook messenger is not private messenging, and if someone sends a Facebook message to you(or, someone pretending to be you) and says something you don't appreciate, then you are not allowed to reply and tell them to f*** off because hey messenger isn't private. The other moral is if you save a picture to a hard drive and claim it says something, you aren't required to produce the picture because internets

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets
QUOTE (bjm676 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 01:03 PM) Hopefully, this pushes the thread to 400. If Sox didn't Yoenis, I'm glad he went back to the Mets. He just wanted to stay there. Nothing Sox could have done. As for Desmond, please no. If they are serious about getting another SS, why not just keep Alexei at $4M and sign or trade for another OF. Alexei is not available anymore

Don Cooper At It Again?...
QUOTE (captain54 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 11:30 AM) Because I'm not obligated to provide information that is easily attainable online.. or prove anything to anyone.. Go to the Sox Pride and Passion FB group and the Donny Cooper FB page and do the research yourself, if you are so inclined.. My guess is that you'll figure out a way to poke holes in it either way. So is it the Don Cooper baseball page that hasn't had a post in 4 years, or the Don Cooper athlete page that has zero posts? I mean, this dastardly deed was so heinous that you and lip saved it to your computers, so you can't post it here? Strange. Even more strange that you were asked to provide it on WSI and wouldn't do it there either

The Bulls biggest problem: John Paxson and Gar Forman
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:06 AM) You fundamentally don't understand how the NBA works. No team that is any good trades for stars. They simply don't have the assets to do it. Pau to the Lakers is the rare exception and everyone agreed Memphis got screwed in the trade and something fishy was going on. Memphis did get Marc Gasol, so in the end it wasn't too terrible. At the time it was a coup though

Cespedes Re-signs with the Mets
QUOTE (ChiSox1917 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:06 AM) Are you kidding? We really couldn't match the Mets offer for Cespedes? Honestly, what was the point in even trading for Frazier if not to actually try and field a full roster capable of making the playoffs? We have the worst outfield in the league. That offer is pretty gross

White Sox interested in SS Ian Desmond
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Fine. I'll leave. At least my Jackson and Desmond predictions will stand the test of time. Dick Allen can find a new group of fans to whine about and leave me alone. At least stay and explain this because I have no idea what this means. Did something come true of these predictions?

White Sox interested in SS Ian Desmond
I would like any of the Rockies outfielders available, but not at the expense of Anderson. Cargo comes with a 37M bill, that has to offset some of the worth of the prospects

White Sox interested in SS Ian Desmond
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) No the reason I add names is because I have noticed you randomly throw names out in a post that have nothing to do with your post. Usually 3. I figured it was like the contest they have in between innings at the park where they give someone20 seconds to name as many cereals or other items, and then have a player on the board do the same thing, and if they get more than the player they get.a prize. Usually you throw 3 names out there, so I went with 4 for the win. I think caulfield just annointed us as besties

White Sox interested in SS Ian Desmond
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) And your choice for improving the club or you prefer wasting posts in attempts to mock? You should be proud, you've also got Dick Allen emulating you but he adds four names. Better effort on his part, and he varies them randomly. Ubaldo Jimenez. John Danks. Gordon Beckham. Don Cooper. I will mock any and all of your nonsensical posts that have zero to do with the topic at hand. If you want to join a circle jerk for Royals, they have their own forums. Dick Allen doesn't emulate me, he is just as annoyed with your non sequitur bulls*** as anyone else on this site. It isn't just mods and admins. And for the record, Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn are still employed by the white sox. Just an FYi

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 09:30 AM) Enjoy being spoonfed your talking points from sports talk radio. The funny thing is, his stance is opposite of most of the score hosts now. People call in and get shut down for this opinion frequently because of the meatball nature. I'm pretty sure ozzfest is one of those callers that got yelled at by Bernstein

Don Cooper At It Again?...
QUOTE (captain54 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 03:28 PM) For the record, and for those willing to spout an opinion (funny how people have opinions about everything, even "non-issues") without knowing what really happened with all of this… the Sox got wind of all the Cooper FB stuff and told him to shut it down.. if it was a non issue and inconsequential, why did they intervene? Oh, you really know what happened with all of this? My bad, JR. Didn't know that I was dealing with Sox brass in the know Why don't you post your irrefutable proof of Don Coopers (supposed to be private) interactions?

2015-2016 NBA Thread
QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 09:21 PM) Yeah, the NBA doesn't work that way. It's not like baseball, where you have an excess of pieces you can move across multiple levels. NBA teams have 12 guys. The Bulls have very little in terms of desirable pieces. In fact, I would argue the only tradeable piece the Bulls have is Gasol. The Bulls would arguably have to draft Hoiberg system players in concert with trading what they can. Right now they have nothing tradable. The thing is they brought Hoiberg in because he was supposed to work well with this specific team. That was the talk, thibs was The problem and Hoiberg was the fix. Now the players don't fit? Come on now
