QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) The new True Blood episode was excellent. That was a crazy episode. A lot of interesting things happend

Eddie Van Halen. He was the most innovative guitarist of all time imo. He did things with his right hand that no one had ever dreamed of before. He was also a great rhythm player (which no one usually gives him credit for). That is the reason all the Van Halen imitators in the 80's didn't last, they were all flash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4lrAxUuwkk...feature=related

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 10:56 PM) Agreed. I had to turn the game off for two innings, though, after Danks gave up the first two runs. It was obvious that he would give up a good deal more, and I just couldn't listen to Hawk keep harping on the outfield play. I just can't stand him sometimes. There's always the mute button...

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 11:06 AM) Did somebody say "cornhole?" This thread totally kicks ass. Beavis and Butthead is coming back with new episodes in case you didn't know!

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 11:01 PM) Ya I haven't worked out in a week and a half since finishing the Insanity program, and I was sick the past few days and just got over it. MAYBE I'll start tomorrow, but I'll probably just ply some basketball to get some type of cardio going. I just got the Insanity discs. I was watching them on my computer and they look very heavy on cardio but low on muscle building so I think I might try to mix some Insanity workouts with P90X.

I might be going to game either Saturday or Sunday. Most likely Sunday. I still have to get tickets, are they likely to sell out?

QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 06:58 PM) I'm looking for the option to vote "Both"! Haha, well that would be too easy now wouldn't it?

If we can only get one before the trade deadline, which do you think is more important? Would you rather let Hudson ride out the rest of the season and pick up a solid DH, or would you rather get another solid starter in the rotation? I am leaning towards a starting pitcher. Before Peavy got injured, we had an outstanding chance at winning every game, but after todays game, Hudson made me a little nervous. If Freddy comes back to earth a little bit in the 2nd half we might have something to worry about.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 06:04 PM) Not with Miggy, Morneau, and Hamilton hitting at the pace they are.... but yeah Im wishing I never dropped Quentin in fantasy now. I just picked him up about 2 weeks ago. Glad I did!

Hahaha once in awhile I miss DJ on tv for his sense of humor, but then I think about how much Hawk made him his b****!
-
Im back b****es! Did chest and back today and man was it tough after taking almost 3 weeks off. I can't allow myself to go that long without serious exercise again! Ah well, guess I'm going to start off round 2 just like round 1...by being sore as hell this whole week!

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) Agreed. I never liked the argument (well that cost us a run) or whatever. A pitcher pitches different depending on the situations. I still wonder with all of his years in the game, how Hawk doesn't realize that as well...

QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:44 PM) f*** that... the day that robots are making the calls is the day I stop being a MLB fan. I used to think exactly the same way, but this season has been the final straw for me. There have been so many TERRIBLE calls this year. Not only have I noticed an increase in close calls that have been blown (one which ruined a perfect game), but there have been some ridiculously outrageous calls as well (aka Buehrle vs Joe West, and that Damon strikeout call). I say bring on the robots!

With all the bad s*** going on right now the one thing that can cheer me up is that Alexei Ramirez's walk-up music is still "Rude Boy" by Rihanna.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) Trying to think of a bad Decaprio movie ?... I haven't seen it in a really long time, but I remember dislikng Man in the Iron Mask. Besides that Dicaprio chooses great movies, and I can't imagine most of the movies he was in being nearly as good without him in them. Catch Me If You Can and The Aviator being two great examples of that.

I will answer this question on October 3rd

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 10:30 PM) Good win because it's a win. Royals fans will be blaming the manager like Sox fans do after every loss. One on nobody out in the ninth against Putz who was not overpowering anybody. Try to bunt with Yuni on just one strike. Then they let him hit and he weakly flies out to right. Then Bloomquist tries to steal and is thrown out for out No. 2. Then Pods whiffs. Thanks, Royals. The good thing about having Putz on the mound there was that if it was Bobby pitching, Bloomquist steals that base no problem. Jenks is so easy to steal off of.

Tigers, the Twins always seem to be in it in September, and I think they have a better team

Watching Pierre bat and then seeing Pods' numbers leading off this inning makes me a little sick...

QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 07:04 PM) I love it, I've watched every episodes of every season since 2004, but most of it is not very memorable like other dramas in the world. I can barely remember stuff from the previous season, or seasons...like, besides Tommy talking to Jesus at some points in Season Two I'd be damned if I can remember other things from that season. Also, It seems like every character except Tommy has like a "character re-boot" each season, they got a new sets of personality traits haha No, I remember most of the stuff from Rescue Me, but I had that same problem with 24. I had trouble remembering a lot of previous seasons. Rescue Me has been hit or miss with me. It has had some really good seasons and some pretty bad seasons. Last season was the only one that was kind of in the middle for me. I hope this season kicks ass though!

Its unbelievable to me that some of the most diehard Sox fans can take Ozzie's comments so literally. Have any of you ever seen or heard an interview from Ozzie before? He constantly says one thing and mean/does another. The fact that he said this doesn't mean that is what they are going to do, or that is what he really wants to do. Even if he does mean it, WHO CARES?! Unless those words come out of KW's mouth, it is meaningless whether or not Ozzie really wants to add anyone. If Kenny defers to Ozzie and doesn't add anyone then it is no one's fault but Kenny.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 05:51 PM) What? Every Electric Lemonade I've ever had has been bright blue, and does have the vodka and lemonade, but also perhaps gin and sprite (I hate gin, and am thus ok without it). What you're describing sounds much more like a Baltimore Zoo (which is basically a long island + beer. Tastier than it sounds). You must be drinking electric lemonade for wussies. You can put some blue coloring in it makes you happy...
