Sox most aggressive team seeking help
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 09:52 AM) Other than Carl Everett has Kenny ever made a big trade at the deadline? Contreras... Garcia came like a week before the deadline, does that count? Robbie Alomar...

Positive Paulie Thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 09:47 AM) Read the title of the thread. Go bash Swish and Konerko somewhere else, this is a positive thread. If you have something positive to say, say it, otherwise dont hit the reply button. Got it? Paulie blows.

Positive Paulie Thread
THere's nothing good to be said about Paulie. At this point, he's not a Major League Baseball player, and he's killed us since coming off the DL.

The Dark Knight
QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 27, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) Sorry, man, but that last hour or so felt like forever. It wasn't uninteresting, but it wasn't spellbinding either. Wow, I thought the last hour was f***ing awesome.

Let's give it up
Yeah, he's really pissing me off.

Fields and Floyd for a SP?
Floyd + Fields for Halladay... I think both sides would be happy with that one. The Jays get two guys who contribute immediately to the big club with pretty decent ceilings, the White Sox get a SP who cements them as World Series contenders. I actually would really like this.

Casey Blake to the Dodgers
Hooray! No more Casey Blake! Soxkiller.

The Dark Knight
Let me just interject that if you haven't seen NCFOM yet, then it's obviously not a priority and it being "ruined" certainly isn't a big deal for you. Oh, and if you can't afford it, it's called Watch-Movies.net. Oh, you can watch The Dark Knight there too!

Baseball Sim League
QUOTE (Felix @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 02:54 PM) I think it makes it much too easy to evaluate talent. Every league I'm in is 1-10 or 2-8, and I plan on keeping it that way To each his own though. I agree, I prefer a 1-10 scale. I'm even in a league taht only shows talents, and not overalls. Now THAT'S interesting.

The Dark Knight
I think I just enjoyed The Dark Knight even more the second time around...

WINNER
That was the game of the year right there, folks.

Crede to DL, Fields Called Up, Loaiza Released
Ha, it's supposed to say "DL", but you get where my mind was going. More to follow I'm sure...

Something's brewing...
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 11:00 PM) The big wigs from the Braves from office, including Frank Wren, were at the Barons/M-Braves game tonight. I don't know who they were there to scout, our guys or theirs, but Aaron Poreda was pitching. Just saying... Who the hell would we get from the Braves? I doubt we'd be after Texeira Tim Hudson? Yunel Escobar? Chipper Jones? Mark Kotsay? No thanks.

Sox Interested in Duchscherer
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 04:31 PM) Bernstein just mentioned that various outlets are reporting that KW's talks with the A's regarding a trade for Justin Duchscherer are heating up. Fields and Poreda would likely be involved. This makes me very nervous because I don't like Duch for the long term one bit. Do that in a heartbeat.

Uribe Not Going to Boston
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 01:54 AM) If we trade OC we BETTER be getting Brian Roberts back in another deal. ANd you better get that deal done first, as BAL owner likes to nix deals last second. This thread is hilarious.

White Sox Winner!!
QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 04:11 PM) CQ!!!!!! On pace for around 35 HR's now, this guy has just been insane this season. Could he win the MVP award if he keeps this pace up and the Sox win the division I wonder? Try 41

7 Sox players in the top 64 MLB hitters
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 03:38 PM) in GIDP. No other team is even frickin close to 7 players of the top 64, obviously I can't recall how many times this season I've said "please strike out so you don't GIDP" unf***ingreal Yeah they won today... so let's not worry about it.

White Sox Winner!!
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) 20 runs in two days=feast or famine offense. Fixed that for you.

Chris Williams agrees to terms
QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 23, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) Tillman, Kreutz, Dvoracek, and another player didn't show, either. Things looking up already... Tillman's locked up and Dvoracek has been injured his two years, don't know why they wouldn't be there. I'm glad that Williams is here, and the Bears would be dumb to not have seen Hester holding out.

Sox interested in Street
Trading for closers from Oakland is a terrible idea. Hell trading for closers is a bad idea. Shore up the rotation before worrying about the bullpen.

ESPY
QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 04:58 AM) Not positive but I thought Candace Parker won instead of her. She lost two different trophies, one to Candace Parker, one to the softball girls, and she was pissed both times. It was hilarious.

Sox should trade Josh Fields
I've been advocating the trading of Fields for some time. He'll never be a great Major League player due to the ridiculous K numbers.
