  2. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) Well s***. Fields comes in an hits a bomb, the "stars" come up and they cant hit s***. exactly... the sox bats have pressed so much and haven't done anything... though the pitching failed us this season, the bats have failed us over the last two weeks.
  3. must have been a wild game to be at!
  4. when i heard the first single from Paris Hilton, I was in complete disbelief because I didn't think it sucked total balls. however, anytime Paris makes a fool of herself, I'm all about it.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) In our home opener of my freshmen year ('04 when NIU made a bowl and won), SIU came up here and missed a 2 with less than a minute left to lose to us 23-22 at Huskie Stadium. Congrats to you NIU fans on getting a huge win like this now, enjoy it. yup, that was my sophomore season, but I'm sure you meant to say "SIU" fans in the final sentence there. I will never forget that NIU season though, with Michael Turner torching the NCAA and us being ranked as high as 12th in the nation (though in hindsight, that might have been pushing it.) The Score broadcasted from the opening in from of the Stephenson Dorms, and NCAA College Gameday broadcasted from NIU as well... just absolutely an awesome season and made us feel like our team was on the map. -- kind of made me sad on Saturday when I went back to my almamatter to see my boys beat Buffalo... start 0-2 and all the fairweathers don't bother to show up... fewest people I've seen at a game in three years.

QUOTE(SinkingShip06 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 12:12 AM) Trade Thome. he carried us for a stretch but the sooner we get rid of him the better. to me he seems like his decline won't be steady. it'll be a big drop off good luck.
  12. i can't see it competing with PS3 or X360
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 05:31 AM) Well.. he did also say he consulted with his (at the time) 3 month old kid about the decision to stay... well... that must be one smart-ass kid.

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 09:23 AM) I think Crawford is gonna be a free agent at the end of the year. Hes gonna make alot of money. hmmm, i thought he was restricted at least.
  18. I had guessed she rewarded him a different way... so when I read it was marijuana I was a bit relieved...

Jimmy Rollins would be a perfect fit for this team, assuming we can rid ourselves of Pods. Then you can pursue another bat for left field (can one dream of Carl Crawford?)... a package of Pods, Josh Fields, and Lance Broadway would assuredly be looked at for Crawford... Then, your order looks like Rollins Crawford Dye Thome Konerko Pierzynski Crede Iguchi Anderson also allowing Iguchi to move down in the order for good, where I still think he could excel given enough time. However, none of this will happen, so who cares?
  20. it's superstition, but why not follow it. if the viewers didn't know there was a perfect game going on, then they obviously didn't care enough. For the sake of superstition alone, Hawk should have kept his mouth shut. we can't place the blame solely on Hawk though, Chris Rongey busted out his own form of jynx...
  21. personally, I think Jenks will be fine... macdougals crazy arm motion scares me a bit... but let him throw his arm off this year if it gets us in the door.
  22. gee... maybe the world series clincher?
