Detroit now is the first team in history to be in 1st place since May 10th to lose the Division in the last week/day? Total choke job.

This is the closest we will get to the playoffs this year, and would be a nice way to end the season.

I just really hope Pena and Linebrink are not on this team in 2010. Awful.

For Ozzie, what more is there to say? How many times can he say horse{bleep}? The sad part is the Tigers have performed equally as bad of late and gave us a legit shot at the Division, but we pissed it away with some brutal performances.

Tonight is a good indication of what needs to happen. The players have spoken with their performance on the field, and Ozzie spoke with that wonderful lineup.

Detroit is already down 8-0 to KC in the 5th. If they lose, they will have gone 1-5 in their last 6 vs KC , and 3-7 in their last 10 overall. 13 of their last 16 games after today are against us (6) and the Twins (7), so anything is possible at this point. The Sox however, need to string together some wins here and will have to basically sweep Detroit in all 6 games to have a chance. Crazier things have happened.
