  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) I hope that he gets fired. You hope he gets fired? Do you realize what he has done for this team?
  2. So its Ozzie's fault that the Sox couldnt field tonight? I hate how he gets the blame when they do poorly. Yes, he's made some questionable calls, but for the most part of the season, those calls have won games. So stop whining when they lose a few.
  3. QUOTE(Beastly @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 10:17 PM) Borchard sucks. Dye is MUCH better than Dye. Dye is much better than Dye? I see.. bah, you edited it.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) More like 4 I know there were 2 for Dye and 1 for Pods, but I must have missed the other one. I started watching it late.
  5. There were 2 or 3 plays in the outfield in which our outfielders just couldnt handle the ball..
  6. He's been hot with the bat since coming back from the DL. In 13 games (not including tonight), he has a .359 average with a .434 OBP, 10 runs scored, 5 doubles, and 1 triple. He's raised his yearly batting average from .278 to .291 (entering tonight), his slugging% from .332 to .356, and his on base percentage from .345 to .355.
  7. Buehrle has the 2nd best ERA in the AL (I dont count Halladay since he's out for the season), and he gets much less run support than Santana, or any other pitching in the running gets.
  8. Yes, I still think Buehrle is an ace.
  9. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Sep 9, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) No worky...need to be a member. www.bugmenot.com
  10. I would rather a team we are 10-3 against so far this year than a team we are around .500 against. (we are 3-3 against the Yankees, and 2-7 against Oakland)
  11. QUOTE(ceffa2000 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) Wow, 1906 was lights out. s***, 2 starting pitchers below 2.00 ERA? Buerhle's an inning eater? Maybe by modern standards. But Eddie Cicotte had 340+ IP!!! uh.. completely different era's. Also note the 49 starts. He averaged a little over 7 innings a start. QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) Well, the thread DOES say "...in club history", so all eras qualify. This is a damn fine rotation, though. Just to point out, the league average ERA in 1906 was 2.53. So saying "wow, 2 people under 2.00 ERA" isnt really that amazing.
  12. I'm glad the Indians are winning. The Sox have more experience against them come playoff time.
  13. "Bears rookie quarterback Kyle Orton is a mystery, which might not be all that bad. Washington's offense is known and unimpressive. And I've got a question for the superinfo people at STATS, Inc. Four quarterbacks who started at least one game for Chicago last year -- Grossman, Krenzel, Quinn and Hutchinson -- are missing from the Bears' roster on Week 1. Has that ever happened to an NFL team before? Anyway, the Chicago defense will do more damage to the Washington offense than vice versa, hence this big upset." Is it really that big an upset? Dr. Z doesnt know much if he really thinks the Bears are the worst team in the league.
  14. Yea, I wasnt sure if CERA did or not count for defense. It should , but without it counting, AJ won't win one.
  15. I think that Aaron, Crede, Jon, and possible Pierzynski will win gold gloves. Last time I checked, Pierzynski's CERA was 4th lowest in the league. Pierzynski is my "reach" pick though
  16. I'm willing to bet that you will be surprised when they are announced.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) I highly doubt it. Says the one with the sig I dont think its out of the question, I mean, who else has been as good as he in CF this year? And the series against the NYY really put him on the board with people.
  18. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) I see Moss and oh yea Raiders suck. Go Bears ! you = win
  19. Hopefully he'll add a gold glove to his list of achievements this year
  20. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 10:44 AM) But some here think that Rowand is the greatest CF in baseball, or that Crede is one of the better 3B's in baseball and that his glove is second to none. Rowand is probably the best defensive centerfielder in the league right now, and possibly top 3 as an overall centerfielder. Crede is not that great a 3b, but his defense is one of the best in the league.
