Realistically, with Stanton being owed $300 million, I would be willing to do nothing more than take on his contract at this stage. I wouldn't be willing to give up anything of consequence for him at this stage. With his deal it is something you could revisit in a couple of years, but as of today it makes no sense for us.

These guys have all gone to s*** at exactly the wrong time. We might be stuck with all of them. If they were free agents at minimum salary, I am still not sure anyone would pick them up. Edit: Except for Miguel Gonzalez.

I'd rather see shorter swings and approaches with two strikes to try to generate some sort of contact.
