  1. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2017 -> 12:39 PM) Frazier hugwatch? He was in the starting line up. Did he get scratched?
  2. CSN Chicago‏Verified account @CSNChicago 1h1 hour ago Report: Jay Cutler considering broadcasting career, has auditioned for FOX -- http://bit.ly/2q34Hie
  3. If that is the case, good for Rick and the staff of not making it public business.
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 4, 2017 -> 12:15 PM) Did he not hustle or something? Yes, I am curious of the background of this story.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2017 -> 12:05 PM) There were a couple reports yesterday that Gar might be fired. I think WhiteSoxDave might have been the source of it. Either way, it seems that Paxson is winning back the power struggle from Gar (if it did exist), with his brother becoming more involved (which isn't a bad thing). I wonder if we'll see them bring in some new blood? That said, as we all know, they are in a pretty unique position, you either kind of take it one year at a time, while biding time for young players to develop (hoping you get a bit lucky) and tackling free agency, or you blow it all up. I don't really know that one is much better then the other, although it is probably more frustrating for many fans to be caught "in limbo". He claims he never said it that and that someone falsely attributed it to him, FWIW.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 4, 2017 -> 11:25 AM) Yep. I want to say it was Toronto at 4? Theyw anted Bulls pick at 7 plus Donyell Marshall and some other stuff. Bulls stood pat and thought they could get Wade at 7. This is what I remember as well.
  7. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 4, 2017 -> 09:40 AM) Jay Williams was really good too. When Krause left they had Jay Williams, Curry, Chandler, and Crawford. I know the Rose injury gets a lot of attention as being franchise changing, but the Jay Williams injury isn't talked about enough. Not only did it cost them a #1 draft pick potentially coming into his own, I will swear to this day it pushed the team to select Hinrich to replace him after Wade went off of the board in front of them, and everything kind of fell into place after that.
  8. QUOTE (ron883 @ May 4, 2017 -> 12:45 AM) I love how people bump these threads when Jose goes on a hot streak. His hot streaks are followed by the inevitable awful cold streaks Jose goes on. When Jose goes cold, he goes COLD. The dude just isnt that great of a player. You mean the way that you create them when he goes cold?
  9. Man the the article just made me feel OLD. Now get off my lawn.
  10. What that does is free up the roster spot for Holmberg in the mean time.
  11. Dan Hayes‏Verified account @CSNHayes 9m9 minutes ago Carlos Rodon was on DL retroactive to 3/30. If math is correct, this makes him eligible to return 5/29. #WhiteSox
  12. Apparently it isn't going to be our year for pitching.
  13. QUOTE (Two-Gun Pete @ May 4, 2017 -> 07:46 AM) Yeah. Nothing quite like one random spring training performance to get people's rocks off. But that aside, I'm not here everyday, so I often miss the chance to close loops on things.I didn't want the other poster to think i didn't have the courtesy to reply to his rant. It isn't that you replied, it is that you held on to that anger for a month and a half to the point where you had to respond even after that much time. That is an 80 bitterness rating.
  14. QUOTE (ptatc @ May 4, 2017 -> 08:08 AM) There really isn't that type of surgery anymore. With all of the advanced imaging, they usually have a pretty good idea of what's going on. It's usually the extant of the damage that isn't known prior to surgery. If they really thought this was an option he wouldn't be throwing at all. However, as I've said from the beginning this case is so odd that anything is possible. I've don't recall a team being so conservative with all of these "reported" injuries, especially this team with Herm running the training staff. The one thing that randomly popped into my head is a disconnect between the parties, If the Sox are getting all of this data that show Rodon is OK, and Rodon still feels like he is hurting maybe that is the what the disconnect is about? Honestly I have no idea. I mean I would imagine if something were seriously wrong, they would just shut him down and look at surgery. You gain nothing from making him throw through a serious injury, and the Sox have never struck me as that sort of organization.
  15. QUOTE (Two-Gun Pete @ May 3, 2017 -> 07:27 PM) Yeah, you just might want to cross the goal line with your argument before spiking the football. Here's hoping young Mr. Rodon finds his health & his form soon. That is some petty and impressive grudgeholding.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 3, 2017 -> 05:41 PM) Watching you talk about the NBA is like watching Apple talk about their iPhones. Or Sean Spicer talk about Donald Trump
  17. Daryl Van Schouwen‏Verified account @CST_soxvan 54m54 minutes ago Whoa, it's Todd: Frazier is 10-for-32 (.313) with four doubles, two homers, nine RBI and a 1.064 OPS during his nine-game hitting streak.

  19. Worse thread on the front page currently... Adam Dunn or Extend Avi long term? Remember, there are no winners here.
  20. And to be brutally honest, I don't think the White Sox are too worried about Schnurbusch versus Fisher. They want to make sure Fisher is in the right place, and if it means pushing an org guy further than he should be, so be it.
  21. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ May 3, 2017 -> 04:03 PM) What is the process for changing fanbases? Is it complicated? Call up a Golden State fan and find out.

  25. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 3, 2017 -> 01:03 PM) Mid June is conservative, safe treatment but you'd be correct as Moncada has 31 service days I wasn't considering. Even if the money is immaterial in the grade scheme of things, I still think it could be prudent financially and forh is development to hold him down til mid July. Interesting on how the Super 2 tipping point not only effects the 3rd year contract, but every year from there on out. http://www.truebluela.com/2017/5/3/1553357...uestion-dodgers
