  1. It's funny, as I have gotten older, I spend less and less time on professional sports in general, and more and more on amatuer. It isn't about perfection, otherwise no one would watch athletics in general. Just like I want to see an honest effort on the field, I also want to see an honest effort off of it. Right now the White Sox are the 400 pound dude on his chat board talking about "no fattys".
  2. I obviously thought you were mocking the idea of a twitter troll being on a serious journalistic payroll.
  3. Same, and for a black and white version of the 83s.
  4. Oh you were serious? Nevermind.
  5. There it is. This is 2025, and there are plenty of things to do with my entertainment dollars and time. I will be watching more of my local HS baseball team than I will this product.
  6. When an owner refuses to wade into the deep end of the free agent market, it becomes necesary to get an extra cheap year from your players so that you can sustain success as a team longer. Granted, there aren't any real good examples of this lately under Jerry mostly because success hasn't really been around to sustain, but it works in concept.
  7. Bears would have done great with my man Braden Fiske too.
  8. Gotta keep the opponents guessing.
  9. That also looks like the typical Getz free agent signee recently.
  10. hahahahahahahaha, this is gold. Well done.
  11. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6186874/2025/03/11/mlb-fans-optimism-results-rankings/?campaign=12883820&source=athletic_top_stories_email&userId=6062851
  12. The Sox were seemingly one of the last teams who emphasized slightly under max and health vs max velocity when Don Cooper was here, but that doesn't seem to be the case here now.
  13. And this chart is why everyone goes max effort. That little bit extra makes a big difference. There is no way to legislate this out of the game either.
  14. Bold of you to assume the Sox will have a stable roster.
  15. Tf he need revenge for? His free paycheck last year?
  16. Not unless they are willing to start with Dominguez. The Yankees farm hitters are one of the few franchises that saw a worse year than the Sox one's had.
  17. And yet they bring in guys like Tyler Glasnow on the regular.
  18. I will believe that Pedro was someone out on a limb by himself when I see a completely different behavior this year, because we sure signed a ton of the exact same kinds of guys this winter. Why sign them if they aren't competing? Seems pretty convenient to me.
  19. There were a ton of players last year who should have been playing, but did not, starting with Fletcher and DeLoach.
  20. You are way more confident than I am that the Sox won't wedge in old and crappy players in the name of building trade value for guys that no one will ever want, just like they did last year. I am waiting to see how the 26 plays out before I even start to have any hope for 2025 being worth a damn.
  21. If Witt was "rushed" then Colson is trash. Witt put up a AAA season over .200 points higher than Colson just did while being a year younger.
  22. So you think because they haven't trotted him out there for the dog and pony show, they don't like him? That seems like some high school stuff right there.
  23. And he’s not even a particularly insightful blowhard
  24. Where did you get this silly idea from?
  25. Better now than bringing him north to figure out he is toast.
