QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) In other news, Southsider is expected to post tomorrow. The funny thing is, I probably won't post tomorrow

Sox to open 2006 at home
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Awesome, that's like 70 miles from me and I'll definitely be at all 3 games. Gage is coming also. Perhaps we could all get tickets together? That would be a blast. If you all have not been there before, get tickets out in the RF seats. It has a great view of the ballpark, and of the Ohio River behind it.

Sox snipets from Rozner...
To me it sounds like Ozzie thinks PK is getting resigned by the Sox, and he doesn't like it, IMO.
-
What Do You Expect?
I expect next to nothing from Felix Diaz. Maybe he could be a middle reliever, but the Sox have so many better options than Diaz, it isn't even funny.

Samuel Alito for the U.S. Supreme Court.
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) Good to know our likely next Supreme Court Justice doesn't let little things like seemingly obvious ethical issues slow him down. LMAO. I guess he could just get involved in the Tom Delay case if this doesn't work out for him.

Texans Gear Up to Decide on Gay Marriage
QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 3, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Some of the rhetoric down here is so bad, if it was so innaccurate, it would be funny. If this doesn't pass, there will be gay and lesbian couples EVERYWHERE, we'll be OVERRUN! They will be in the SCHOOLS, at WORK, thousands of them, EVERYWHERE. KISSIN' and HIGGIN' I hear there are already plans for half of San Francisco to move to Texas. :headshake I guess I'll finally get to meet Rex. You don't know what you are missing

Long Term Deal for Garland?
I would be SHOCKED if Garland signed a multi year deal that had the last years being that cheap. Jon has to have seen what guys who were half as good as him (Clement and Ortiz come to mind) got in this marketplace. He would pull down $10 mil a year for 4-5 years on the open market right now.

Rumor: AL Playoff OF tests positive for steroids
In a sort of crazy way, good for Lawton. I am glad to see him at least be honest about it. I with they would double the suspensions for people who make up the BS stories to act like they didn't know. I know it is impossible to do, I am just sick of every single one of these jerks staring into a camera and thinking we are all completely stupid enough to believe their lies. You cheated, admit it, move on. Be a man.

Ozzie plan on sale Tues?
QUOTE(BFirebird @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) Yeah 1 Sox/Cubs, and all of ALDS. No ALCS...at least that was the way it was this year. Guys I wouldn't count on what was true in 2005 being true in 2006 when it comes to season ticket packages. Remember they are estimating that the base season ticketholder number is going to from 11,000 to 15,000, which instantly means 4000 less tickets for everyone when it comes to playoff time, and we all know how hard it was to get tickets WITHOUT those 4000 people. Don't get into this blindly assuming you will get anything based on last year. Ask the questions and know for sure.

free agent wish list
Brian Giles would be the closest thing I could think of, but I really think our big move will involve a big trade. We can take on salary this year, and that really gives us some options to take on a big contract.

THIS JUST IN!!
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 2, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) He'd probably tell you that you just spelled spelt wrong too. There are a couple of places where we have it flat out wrong here though. I'd much prefer 'petrol' to 'gaaass' (except that it would screw up a great Hawkism). And I'd like to fix the mis-spelling that stuck us with Aluminum instead of the standard international name for the element, Aluminium. THERE'S SUPPOSED TO BE AN "I" IN THERE, PEOPLE!!! . . . bloody tossers. Or you could just call it "Ally" as the blokes on the LME who trade it, call it. But you really should get the pronunciation correct. Its Al-U-min-E-um for our pals on the other side of the pond.
