Hurricane Rita.
The storm track keeps fading towards the south, currently the bullseye is straight on Port Lavaca.

Cleveland vs. Chicago 09/21/05 7:05PM CT
QUOTE(SouthSidePride05 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) Can anyone else access the ticketmaster page to buy tickets for tonight? When I click on the "T", a page opens that says "Oops we can't open ...". I know it's not sold out; I just wanted to see where you can still get tickets. Maybe ticketmaster is to blame for not selling out all the seats. I'm just glad I have my tickets for tonight.. I'll be there cheering as loud as I can! Doesn't ticketbastard cut off ticket sales on the day of the game early?

O'Reilly has to stop lieing about poverty
QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Man than you sure haven't seen many funny things. Whatever it is, it doesn't do much for your credibility to trash people, and then quote their words as gospil proof.

O'Reilly has to stop lieing about poverty
QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) I'm dumb http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...hl=o'reilly A previous thread where O'Reilly and Coulter admit within a day of each other that the media is not generally controlled by the left. So when it is convient for your beliefs you believe and quote what they say? That might be the funniest thing I have seen.

Joe Crede and Juan Uribe
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) Ummm....Uribe's new leg kick started after talking to Hriniak, and Crede discovered when watching old films that he needed to keep his hands up more. Greg Walker has been trying to get through to Crede for years. It has been in the papers at many different points. Ozzie said the samething at the end of last season. The biggest difference in Uribe is that he has quit swinging at the off-speed crap in the dirt so that he would get some decent pitches to hit. The leg kick is nice, but not swinging at s*** is better.

Joe Crede and Juan Uribe
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 10:54 AM) Two guys that seemingly got away from Greg Walker, and were able to make successful adjustments. SSI could have a field day on this topic. Or it could be they are finally listening to Greg Walker... Both guys are notorious hard heads about listening to coaches, its what got Uribe shipped out of Colorado, and had Crede on the hotseat last year.

That picture is now my wallpaper. I wanted to go with one of the celebration pictures, but they didn't fit too well.

Rush hour traffic!?!
Yeah the biggest thing is to avoid is any function that makes MYSQL work hard during high volume times. Things to avoid include the search function, Top 10 posters, and Top 10 Daily Posters. Just stick to posting and reading instead of all of the rest of that stuff.

LMFAO!!!!!!!
QUOTE(56789 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) I saw a survivor say this right after the hurricane happened. He said he heard a loud explosion when the levee broke or some s*** like that. :rolly That's weird because the sound of concrete breaking apart suddenly under thousands of tons of pressure is really quiet, so it must have been an explosion...

Hurricane Rita.
Rita is a Category 4 storm now with 135 mph sustained winds and gusts up to 160mph. The thing that could make this even scarier, is that Katrina took a northern turn and weakened a little before hitting LA, if this stays on its southern track, it isn't going to weaken.

High Stakes: Williams Should Be Let Go . . .
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 06:43 PM) Trouble is, the Indians aren't the only ones that are about to see the price of their team increase a lot. In the next year, we've got AJ and Garland coming up for contracts, we've got a big question mark at 1st base right now, Crede is arbitration eligible and we have no replacement ready, and we don't have that much coming off of the books in terms of dollars either. Plus Buehrle's getting fairly close to the end of his contract, and he may very well command an absolute fortune by the time that rolls around. Right now, I'm starting to see a Sox team that needs to get a lot younger in a hurry. I have a feeling I'm going to be saying that a lot this offseason. We also have a 300,000 person or so advantage when it comes to payroll, and an older more established roster, that isn't going to get nearly the increases that the Indians are going to see.

Everett and Crede make this team weaker
QUOTE(whitesoxgt @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) .....k whats ur point? all of a sudden they're difference makers just for what they did in one game? 82 RBIs didn't make a difference this year? Crede's defense didn't make a difference? My point is, your point is short sighted at best.
