  1. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) Is *THAT* how that happened? It sounds like it will be called the immaculate castration
  2. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) And out of all that the GOP focused on the blow job. Sounds like penis envy. There was GOP focus on all of the issues, they wanted to get him for anything they could, much like the Dems are trying to get the Bush people for anything they can. The media only focused on the BJs and the sexual harassment, so that was the only case that got off of the ground. Stained dresses are way more interesting than Johnny Chung. If the media had put as many headlines up about connections between campaign donations and pardons, maybe those investigations would have gone somewhere. Its the samething in this administration. No one really gave much into these allegations until the media headlines kept coming, and then it was time to do some series investigating. Also remember many of these same Dems who felt lying to Congress wasn't important now feel that lying about these leaks is pretty damned important all of the sudden, and we haven't had anyone even under oath yet.
  3. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) You equate an extramarital blowjob with the s*** Cheney's office is "allegedly" involved with that led to knowingly ovberstating the case for war and the tresonous outing of a CIA operative? Alrighjty then. god love ya'. :rolly No, but thanks for proving my point. More accurately I consider insider trading, whoring out the white house, selling of pardons, murder allegations, influence peddling to forgein nationals for campaign funding (treason really depending on who you believe the money came from), repeated sexual harassment, etc, IMO are more than "just a blow job". I don't get how many of the same people who bounce with glee and awe from Bush scandal to scandal think that we need to go back to the Clinton years where the same exact kinds of corruption were taking place, if not worse. Heck IMO the only difference between Bush and Clinton was 9-11 opened a few more doors for the guys propping up Bush to get into trouble, that Clinton never had the chance at.
  4. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Yes. B-a-s-e-b-a-l-l is correct. Duh that is T-H-A-T :headshake
  5. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) wow, 16 posts until that came up, you guys are slacking. and this is a bummer, i was looking forward to going again this year after the awesome time we had last year. It could be worse... You could have had penis's on your head. :headshake
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) Bush and his followers are nothing but lying cheats, rapers, stealing thugs, who know how to solve all the world's problems but choose not to, kick puppy dogs right in the teeth, drink the blood that comes out of those teeth, and then goes on tv at night to talk about how good the blood tastes. Is that about right? And remarkably it is many who also use the "just a blow job" mantra like it is going out of style.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) I really don't think anyone knows the true #. My uncle - career AF - agrees the numbers are up.. 107% up.. his # definitely wasn't that high. I don't think he was saying they were 107% up, I think Nuke was saying it was 107% of the goal, which means they hit their goal plus 7% over that number IIUC.
  8. Rally Crede's mom was an astronaut.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) LIES, you know you don't have to be 21. Well its either that or "security" might just show up looking for you...
  10. AHHHHHHHHHH JINX!!!!
  11. Also if you are 21 years old or older (much older in some cases) you can always spend the evenings at the Hyatt bar. That is one of the highlights of the weekend as many players, coaches, and fans hang out up there.
  12. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) anyone have an idea what a 3 day pass will go for now? I still want to go but have no tix. There will be plenty of daily passes around. Remember when someone books a room they give them 4 passes for each day, which means most people will have two extras to each day, as more rooms are booked by two people. Your best bet is to ask around here as it gets to be January.
  13. I remember a few years ago we wore the 1917 jersey as an alternative Sunday home games jersey. That just got me to thinking, is there any chance that the Sox will unviel a new jersey just for this WS?
  14. Wow, that is incredible. This ought to be an incredible year to go, I am really sad that I am going to have to miss at least most of it.
  15. I wonder what the over/under of these ending up on Ebay?
  16. From the Critic in the thread about the woman who threw her kids into SF bay. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 10:54 AM) How come the voices never tell anyone to do charity work, or go on a diet, or run their car into Wrigley? ...you know, GOOD things, HELPFUL things....
  17. The Rally Crede's official mascots are Ribbie AND Rubarb.
  18. No big suprise there. He was breaking down big time.
  19. QUOTE(mreye @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) What do you call it, Mr Smarty Pants? Houston, but that is just me. I heard Space City and H-Town more than anything when I lived down there. Texans associate bayous with Louisiana. It would be like referring to Chicago as Hoosier Town, and then offering them a hotdog with ketchup.
  20. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) The fatal flaw in running a government by means of an inner circle is that when one of the cogs flips it brings tthe whole thing crashing down. Live by the cabal, die by the cabal. I agree 100%, I only wish that the samething would have happened to Clinton/Gore.
  21. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 12:13 PM) Wikipedia. I don't care what that site saids, NO ONE down there calls it that.
  22. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) So Sox fans would have to spend $125 to win $100? Astros fans win $105 by betting $100? Exactly Also another reason to like this World Series. 2005 payrolls
  23. Bayou City? Some columnist didn't do his homework. Using a term about Louisana to describe the biggest city in Texas is a capitol offense down there.
  24. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) I have a really hard time imagining that taking a minute of free time to stick it to the doubters, and to feel some pride in what the Sox have achieved so far, is preventing Ozzie from focusing on Houston and what the Sox need to do to be successful. and FWIW even if Houston....you know....( I can't bring myself to type THAT, either )....I will always remember this season fondly. I expected around 85 wins, and they delivered MUCH more than that. The White Sox are the 2005 American League champions, and that is a successful season to me. Is it the ultimate prize? Of course not, or they wouldn't be playing on Saturday. But I'm not the person to diminish one achievement just because another one wasn't accomplished. Great post Mr Critic. Great post.
  25. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) Weather doesn't look so good.. Hmmm It'll be 70 and clear where I am sitting
