I have a real problem with this paragraph. A buyers market? Omar Vizquel got a 3 year deal, Christian Guzman got $17 million, Vinny Castilla got $6 mil+, and Damian Miller got 3 years at almost $9 million.... I would hardly call this a buyers market right now...

You know someone is going to give Clement a mulityear deal for good money. There is no reason the Cubs won't offer arbit to him. Nomar wants as big of a one year deal as possible in order to have a big year and get his big payoff contract. Arbitration would be just what the doctor ordered for him, but the Cubs aren't interested in paying that much for him.
