Just a guess, but I would think Diaz would be the one losing his spot in the rotation. Any guesses at who stays in the rotation until Scho gets back?

I think it would have been the biggest, but a lot of people were at the games, versus the trades last year when we were on the road, so everyone was at their computers. I get the feeling that tommorrow will be a record setting day.

Just checking some stats and I noticed that Soxtalk had its 2nd highest posting total ever for a single day of 2031 posts. That total was only surpassed by the 2045 posts on July 2nd of last year, which was the first game following the aquisions of Everett and Alomar.

Plus the make up of the ground in this half of the country is much softer, and quakes tend to be felt over a much bigger area. So damage from a big quake in the same area as the one last night would probably cause damage from St Louis to Chicago to Indy and south.

The New Madrid fault line has a history of huge quakes. There was an 8 plus quake in either 1812 or 14 (I can't remember which off of the top of my head) before the region was populated much at all. This area would be a distaster if one happened today.

Of course they do. I guess 3 games out in the AL Central is the end of the world, but 5 games out in the NL Central, everything is A OK.
