  1. At $10 a pop, or whatever the price is now, it won't matter to me anyways.
  2. It has to be a low level minor league return if the return wasn't a headline in the story. My guess, no Kimbrel, no Burger. Phillies might just need the roster slot.
  3. From The Athletic's off season review. https://theathletic.com/3200369/2022/03/28/mlb-offseason-grades-for-all-30-teams-jim-bowdens-guide-to-a-wild-winter-and-whats-next/?source=dailyemail&campaign=601983
  4. Archer has 6 million in incentives for the record.
  5. This apology is actually pretty amazing. He personally takes blame, apologies for his actions, and shows some humility.
  6. A 7 or 8 year pushes that back by how much?
  7. It is important to realize that Gio is only in his 2nd arb year. Last year when this deal was kicked around he was in his first. It wouldn't be hard to put together something like 8/12/22/25 with option for 25, including a $5 million buyout and a 3 million dollar signing bonus to come up with a 4/70 or 5/90 structure and be around market value for the type of extension we are taking about. It would get the Sox some certainty, while still giving Gio a run at FA early, without breaking the bank.
  8. With your propensity for overraction and theatrics, it was not a benefit of the doubt I would give you.
  9. Honestly, I really feel like if he wanted to, he would have by now. Granted it was a team dump, but the last 4/50 he was offered was fairly close to market scale for where he is on his timeline. I think the final straw will be his work for the players during the lockout.
  10. That was never actually said, but sure. Go on.
  11. The Sox could finish behind the Orioles? This is why no one takes you seriously.
  12. 11 games at .237/.231/.553/.783 weren't a big deal last year. The funny thing is if we want to overreact to SSS, his DH #'s were .310/.395/.690/1.085
  13. He's definitely done some pinch running too.
  14. If you didn't know it was over before, now you do. Tony has spoken.
  15. Oh wow, congrats on the inane need for an ego boost. Sorry about hurting your feelings.
