I am glad you think that is funny @tray, but it is the truth.

The TLR Manager Thread
It was a 93 mph fastball behind him. It wasn't soft or slow. It was incredibly obvious that he was throwing at Mercedes. If I was the Sox manager I am over the dugout railing in about half a second raising hell for throwing at my player. If I was the Twins manager I am not giving the Sox an extra base runner in a two run game in the 7th inning by hitting a batter. If a game is still going on, I expect my players to be playing the game. If we are talking about T-ball? Sure take pity on the other team. But this major league baseball. Yermin Mercedes could be out of the game next year, and no one is going to pay the mans bills or take care of his family, least of which are TLR. Let the man play and put up his stats.

We need a dugout filled with these.

The TLR Manager Thread
Basically as an organization we spent decades driving around a 15 year old GM sedan. We decided to finally invest in a Porsche after saving up for years to do it. Then we handed the keys to a guy who doesn't know how to drive a stick and we are hoping doesn't destroy the transmission before he figures out how to drive it.

It means while he has the right to silence, he does not possess the ability to stay silent.

Because the one person who has authority over Tony isn't saying anything.

I find it amazing that he knows the unwritten rules better than the written rules of the game.- 5/19 Chicago @ Minnesota 12:10
Actually it is Tony that is creating the reasons for people to b****. Even if you think the fans are stupid for it, the players are also backing up Yermin on this. The bitching about people bitching about LaRussa is WAY more trite. I also find it hilarious that every time something happens, the wins belong to Tony, and the rest of the problems are the fans fault, or the players fault. I don't get the few who hero worship this dude when it is obvious that his best years at this job have passed him by. Its players, its national media, its ex-players, etc. Trevor Bauer, Alex Wood, Ozzie Guillen, Frank Thomas, Steve Stone, along with Tim Anderson, Evan Marshall, and Lance Lynn are all on board here.- The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Yes, you made an absurd conclusion and won't admit it. Yes by only targeting others, you take the cowardly way out, and never have to admit you are wrong. Thanks for finally admitting to this being nothing but a troll job. That concludes this thread.- Arlington Heights White Sox?
Last I remember, the Sox are tied to 35th and Shields through 2033.- The TLR Manager Thread
This team's longest losing streak has been 2 games, twice. If they get going on a normal losing streak, it will be interesting to see how it goes.- The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Your answer is there if you want it. If his assumption was bad, so was yours, for the exact same reason. No matter how you try to change around the argument and the goalposts, this doesn't change. Your need for validation is the real issue here, as is your need to target anyone who disagrees with you. But, again, this is exactly why you were banned in the past.- The Makings of a Juggernaut?
And you still can't admit you were wrong and attacking people to cover up for it.- The TLR Manager Thread
And they STILL threw at him. And it worked.- The TLR Manager Thread
Marshall.- The TLR Manager Thread
I left Yermin out on purpose as the target of this.- The TLR Manager Thread
I never thought there would be a scenario where I wanted Ozzie back, but no doubt he would be a gigantic improvement here.- The TLR Manager Thread
Except when they lose, then its the players fault.- The TLR Manager Thread
That's three current White Sox players who have publicly shown up TLR now.- f*** Off Twins
Baldelli played this perfectly. He said nothing after the game last night. He waited until the bases were empty to throw at Mercedes. He went out and defended his guy, instead of yelling at him, and even got the ejection to back him up. The Twins got to see their manager publicly back up their player. Meanwhile our guy gets a 93 mph fastball thrown behind him, and Tony never leaves the dugout. In the post game he publicly supported the team throwing at his player. Again.- The Makings of a Juggernaut?
And of course the point that you have been willfully ignoring to make this "argument" is that if it is too early to decide on the status of a team for this season, it is also wrong to tell someone they are wrong for deciding the status of a team. Invoking a historic perspective can only be done after the fact. Statistically the reason teams like 2005 Cleveland stand out is because they are anomalies. Typically if a team buries themselves double digit games out they don't recover, and the original poster is much more likely to be right than you are.- The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Yes, you got me. I am 70 years old and just got the internet. Either that or you have a history of getting personal with people who disagree with you, to the point where you have been previously banned from Soxtalk for going after posters with bad faith arguments and personal attacks. The irony is you have been all over this thread making a bad argument to a problem that you invented and no one has, one upping with additional name calling with each post in an attempt to cover up for the audacity that someone would disagree with you, to cover up for the hole in the original theory. If that bothers you, do better.- 5/18 White Sox @ Twins 6:40 PM
