  1. Seems like KC has gotten plenty of cheap hits, and whenever the Sox hit the ball hard it's right at someone.
  2. I've always thought the location of the park was fine. It's literally right off the Dan Ryan and the Red Line. It's not too far from the downtown METRA stations either. The area around the park gets a real bad rap as well.
  3. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ May 19, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) I live about six miles from the BP at Arlington. It's an awesome park. Don't know why they'd replace it so soon. Sounds like part of the reason is the extreme heat during the summer.
  4. http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/texas-rang...le-roof-stadium The Ballpark in Arlington opened just 22 years ago, but it sounds like the Rangers will be getting a new retractable roof stadium in Arlington. Edit: Financing hasn't been finalized and may be subject to a public vote, so it's not a sure thing yet.
  5. At least we get Gregerson in the ninth. Would much rather face him than Harris or Giles.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2016 -> 02:13 PM) Got to pull him. Disappointing start I wouldn't have let him face Ackley.
  7. Let's hope Gonzalez is on a real short leash here.
  8. The first pitch to Melky that was called a strike is a pitch Gonzalez hasn't gotten all day.
  9. QUOTE (Tony @ May 9, 2016 -> 05:19 PM) In the market for a roommate. My studio is too much money, looking to pay about 700-900 a month someplace with a roommate in the city. Most of friends already do that. Best place to look? You guys know anyone? I used www.roommates.com awhile back. Never ended up living with anyone from there, but it's always seemed like a solid site.
  10. Well if Rollins bunts, they put Abreu on, which would potentially give Sands another big spot......
  11. Too early to change anything. It would be nice if Tim Anderson wasn't awful in AAA though.
  12. BA Has Ray falling to the Sox in their latest mock draft. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/mock-draft-2-0/
  13. The positive thing is, pretty much their whole team is due for a ton of regression. The entire pitching staff specifically.
  14. Jason Hammel is shutting the Pirates down and David Ross keeps coming up with big hits. They're a great team, but it just seems like everything imaginable is going their way.
  15. Good to see a couple of more good defensive plays from Adam Eaton. His defense in right has been real impressive.
  16. I may head out tonight, not sure if I want to sit out in 40 degree weather. Hopefully the Sox can take 2 of 3 and get some offense going.
  17. It's really hard to see how Erik Johnson was a BaseballAmerica top 100 prospect two years ago.
  18. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/which-l...xpansion-022816 http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/how-wou...baseball-022816 John Paul Morosi had a good take on possible expansion and realignment today. It would be nice to see Montreal get a team back, and I think Vancouver and Austin would be good spots as well. The realignment proposal is interesting and he's really just throwing stuff at the wall. Seeing the Sox in a division with the Cubs, Cardinals and Brewers would be fun though.
  19. I'd feel pretty comfortable if the Mets can win tonight. Sure, Arrieta goes tomorrow, but they have a tremendous edge in the pitching matchups in Games 3 and 4. I live in McHenry County, figure it's probably a good idea to stay in tonight and not deal with the nonsense out at bars.
  20. Guessing Molina isn't available at all or else we'd have seen Jay there
  21. Unfortunately, this is probably the first of many Cubs playoff celebrations we'll see in the next five seasons or so.
  22. Real disappointing to not score there. At the same time I feel like STL has taken more good at-bats today than Pittsburgh did all night last week. Wacha is a ticking time bomb though.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 10, 2015 -> 06:03 PM) Stomach virus for Garcia....super At least there's somewhat of an explanation for him being awful. Hopefully he's 100 percent for Game 4.
  24. While it may look bad for Sox fans, props to that bar. Plenty of free advertising.
