The media coverage of this team is so pathetic. Really, a story on Cub fans claiming Lackey doctored the ball? When the Cubs did their rookie hazing, Jesse Rogers had a story on how it was another example of Maddon keeping the clubhouse loose. Every team does that every season.

Looks like Brett Cecil is going to miss the rest of the postseason. Would be nice if Mark Buehrle was able to take his spot on the roster. -
Speigel vs Cowley on WSCR

I'm admittedly a Cowley fan. Both guys look like idiots. Pretty classless for Spiegel to accuse Cowley of fabrication. -
I'm going to take San Diego St. here. They're basically playing four home games, going to Tuscon and Anaheim.

I would like to see Harvard get in as an at-large. Wins against Colorado, Boston College and Princeton. Three of their losses are at Michigan, at George Mason and at UCONN. And Like 101 said, solid RPI. -

My Rockford East E-Rabs lose a heartbreaker to Aurora Central Catholic in the sectional final. Up by three with 10 seconds left, ACC hits a three to send it into overtime, and the Chargers end up winning. East probably would have lost to Rock Island in the supers, but I was looking forward to watching them at NIU. -

Going to four classes was an awful idea. Two classes was absolutely perfect. -

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 06:55 PM) For all you NIU fans, in his last game, Jake Anderson dropped 33 in a losing effort for Iowa State against Colorado. We'll be back next year. I wonder if Jake cracked open a celebratory beer after Patton was canned. -

NIU head coach Ricardo Patton fired. Believe it or not I actually didn't mind the hire four years ago. I was wrong, by a long shot. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 02:56 PM) My Benet Redwings lose to East Aurora to halt an undefeated season way too early! My theory is Benet should never have agreed to play Simeon in the regular season. Benet was not the same team after that game. From afar, my feeling is that game was Benet's state title game. And in reality it didn't mean squat. Also doesn't help when you have to play a team like East Aurora on their home floor. All I know is the Rockford East E-Rabs are headed to the sectional final! :headbang -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 05:43 PM) Jim Les............He gone. Hopefully Ricardo Patton joins him on the unemployment line in the next couple of dayis (great possibility). -
Yea, I have to go to court, so I might as well hope the cop doesn't show up for whatever reason. Does anyone know how much speeding tickets are now? I heard they went up.
-
So, on my way to work today I got stopped for a speeding ticket. I was going 50 in a 45 zone, then turned on to a road that's 35. Of course, I didn't see any signs and didn't slow down, and I got stopped going 49 in a 35. On top of that, I just renewed my insurance and didn't have the new forms in the car, so I got a ticket for that as well, which means I have to go to court (all I have to do is show them the insurance forms to get off of that). Now, there's no doubt I was speeding and I guess there were signs (didn't notice them, but that's my fault). Is there any truth to that you get the speeding ticket let go should the cop not show up in court, and is there any chance of that happening? I've talked to people who say they've gotten off that way. Is there any chance I could at least get the fine reduced? (Say it was an honest mistake, etc.).

I hope Arizona enjoyed those two good years, because they are going to suck for awhile. Hell, they weren't even a good team when they made the super bowl, just won a terrible division and got hot at the right time. -
So, is anyone crazy enough to get up super early on Friday? Anybody know of any great deals?

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 01:32 AM) NIU scored 65 points tonight to beat our rivals Toledo and basically clinch the MAC West. I'm sure most don't care, but I had a great time at the game! As for the big story though, the Cam Newton stuff just seems like a lot of he said/she said right now. I know that where there is smoke, there is fire, particularly when it comes to improprieties in big time college recruiting. But I need more evidence in front of me before I call Newton cheating scum. I was at the NIU game last night too. Great win, can't believe it was that much of a blowout. Should they beat Temple in the MAC title game, hopefully they get to go to Detroit and get a shot at a Big 10 team. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 12:26 PM) This is an awesome idea. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=543059 NHL All-Star captains will "fantasy draft" their roster from pool of All-Stars. What a crazy awesome concept. I absolutely love it. One of the few smart things the NHL has done recently. -
I thought last night's episode was good. Can't wait for the season finale.
-
The Rangers should pitch Derek Holland in game four. He's pitched well out of the pen, and Tommy Hunter just isn't very good.
-
I know a lot of people hate him, but I'm a big fan of Gregg Doyel and he wrote a great world series column today. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/story/1418222...up-world-series

I thought tonight's episode sucked. The last two weeks have been underwhelming.
