  1. That's what i don't get. The other day he was going on about what a fun season it was and how good the team is. They could win out and have the worst record in the AL and the second worst in baseball.
  2. Well, the hope is gone. From mlb.com: “He’ll be back for 2026,” said Boyer of Schriffen. “John is enthusiastic. He’s sometimes, and maybe this could be a detriment, he’s in it with the guys. He has created good relationships with the players ... that’s part of what we have to do as an organization. You tell stories about these guys. “So, I’m comfortable, confident that moving forward, he’s going to continue to do that. He has worked very hard at connecting with fans. Didn’t connect with fans as well last year as he did this year. That’s always a work in progress. When you look at our broadcast last year compared to this year, it’s a significant difference. I’m pleased with that.”
  3. You just gave a lecture stating you don’t lecture.
  4. They are still an awful baseball team. Hopefully, they can just be bad next year, but that will take some luck.
  5. Even when they are awful, it’s amazing how fast it goes.
  6. Reading Bob today, and Manfreds attempy at NFL level revenue sharing, I think we may be stuck with this dope another season unless they replace him with McKnight, which would be fine by me. At least he seems to have a clue about the game.
  7. I agree. He didn’t deserve the job, but since he had no previous experience as a lead MLB announcer, he works for cheap, and does what he’s told no matter how obnoxious the request, like what was mentioned calling Vargas a star.
  8. I think the 78 is out. Maybe they go to the Lincoln Yards site. I think most of the ownership has passed and they haven’t had anything there. Right next to the Kennedy and Metra stop.
  9. He does seem like a nice guy, but I agree, time for him to go. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports-media/2025/09/18/white-sox-john-schriffen-steve-stone-gordon-beckham-chicago-sports-network-mike-mccarthy-marquee-sports-network
  10. I think at this point, you buy him out. If you want to bring him back, givehim something similar to this year, maybe a little less since he couldn’t answer the bell. Who knows what this latest problem is. That could make it a no brainer.
  11. Check his home splits.
  12. Can't waste a year. I literally get multiple emails telling me to buy a 2026 season ticket package before it's too late.
  13. They prey much have , and would have had top 3 locked up. They almost would have had to win out to avoid it. And those odds are all the same for the most part.
  14. I get they are playing much better than before, but the broadcasters seem to not realize they still have the worst record in the AL and second worst in baseball.
  15. Schriffen just said Ramirez is looking to be the first in Cleveland to have 3 30 home run seasons. I believe Albert Belle accomplished that and then some.
  16. I will choose a path that’s clear. I will choose free will.
  17. He’s the one unifying subject on Soxtalk. Not even westeddy will defend this.
  18. CCivale is a Cub.
  19. Maybe he was talking to Plesac and The Big Hurt about him.
  20. It may have been the better path, but another big injury puts a roadblock on that path. He did play better before he got hurt. He is the teams most talented player. But……I’m probably a bigger Luis Robert fan than most here, but if they pick up his option, they are wasting their money.
  21. Per Bob- MLB executives find it unfathomable that the White Sox will pick up Luis Roberts’ $20 million option after the season just so they can trade him next summer. Roberts is out for the season with a strained hamstring after yet another miserable year, and has missed 289 games the past five seasons. He will have virtually zero trade value this winter at $20 million. Do the White Sox really want to take the gamble he can stay healthy long enough next season to trade him, and eat most of his salary just to move him?
  22. Last year they were talking about how great the clubhouse was….now this year when they started to win a few games, the clubhouse is so much better….I agree with the above. Winning usually means clubhouse is fine. If you’re losing 100 plus and trying to talk up your clubhouse, you obviously aren’t focused on what’s important.
  23. Vargas has a sprained wrist. Placed on the IL. Elko returns.
  24. I have no problem with it, it actually makes a ton of sense. As long as they pick the best one. They know them better than me, but I have to think Teel is the guy I would keep, but Quero should be worth a lot, even more than a month of Lucas Giolito. Even RH fell into a good one once in a while.
