  1. He does. But he’s a guy that throws 102, so he has a floor of spectator. The way the Sox haven’t been able to draft and develop offense, I would think getting a hitter his level would be a nice get. Certainly it would take something really good, and I agree teams are probably not going to offer what you or I think is equal value but offensive.
  2. I definitely would take the hitter equivalent of Taylor .
  3. That's a play I have always wanted the Sox to try. You know half these guys have no clue about the rule.
  4. It amazes me he's still in his arb years. It seems like he's been playing fot 12 years.
  5. Of course he does. But he’s about profit or winning which is the exact opposite of what he was saying when he bought the team. My biggest issue with him is refusing to hire people probably because he won’t be considered the real GM or player develop guy. Seems kissing the ring is more important, which is odd because he supposedly is a pretty nice man. Bulls fans have more to complain about. They actually show up, and the Bulls goal is NBA hell. Just dont pay the luxury tax. I wish him good health, but for the love of God, give up control of the team.
  6. Pretty sad the Sox have tried to cash in on this considering JR has stated Dick wasn't HOF material.
  7. Why do they keep saying Colson is the first Sox rookie to homer in 3 straight? He's the 10th. Last accomplished by apalka.
  8. You’re nuts. Didn’t you hear Schriffen last night? He told us Miguel Vargas has made himself into a star.
  9. His groin probably gets a bigger workout on off days.
  10. If aim looking at him, and he's falling apart again, my offer either gets a lot lower or totally rescinded.
  11. Normally I would think your logic on this one is obnoxious, but I'm totally with you now. That era of broken down players can't leave my mind soon enough.
  12. Those without the special channels can see these games on channel 26.
  13. Either he’s traded, which is probably good, or hurt, which is really bad.
  14. Huge start for Houser. If he pitches well, the return for him might at least be interesting. A bad start, and it’s probably a lottery ticket at best.
  15. BTW, the Cubs series is also going to be on channel 26 The U.
  16. Unless someone hires john Schriffen as the GM and partial owner, no one is going to want Benintendi.
  17. He was never going to bring a ton, but even if they get a teams top 20 prospect it’s a huge win for Getz.
  18. I'd trade Houser as soon as someone offered something interesting. He's one bad start from being next to worthless.
  19. Robert is definitely going to go. There is no way the Sox pick up his option so anything is better than nothing, and not paying him the rest of this season gets Getz brownie points with JR. I don't see anyone the Sox trade netting much, but maybe one or two of what the get back surprise us.
  20. What did the Sox get and your dreamy GM for Gavin ?
  21. It's commonplace. The Sox also went with a non player in Hahn, and he was awful too. They just like hiring guys who will suck up to JR. The one that didn't was Himes. He accomplished a lot very quickly.
  22. It's not just the past regime. The last White Sox 2nd round pick that really helped the White Sox was Terry Forster. I think he was drafted in 1970.
