Certainly it would take something really good, and I agree teams are probably not going to offer what you or I think is equal value but offensive.

Robert is definitely going to go. There is no way the Sox pick up his option so anything is better than nothing, and not paying him the rest of this season gets Getz brownie points with JR. I don't see anyone the Sox trade netting much, but maybe one or two of what the get back surprise us.

It's commonplace. The Sox also went with a non player in Hahn, and he was awful too. They just like hiring guys who will suck up to JR. The one that didn't was Himes. He accomplished a lot very quickly.

It's not just the past regime. The last White Sox 2nd round pick that really helped the White Sox was Terry Forster. I think he was drafted in 1970.
