White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Winning the draft lottery is probably the best thing that has happened for the team since 2005. Maybe drafting Sale was just as good, but they did nothing with it. When Roche is in his prime, JR won't be around to f*** it op.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
The Bears currently pay $3.6 million in property tax in AH. They are playing games trying to win over the public. When all developed, the tax on the entire development will probably be more than $100 million abd the Bears want everyone to focus on that even though they won't be owning the entire parcel when that happens. What they are crying about is basically about what they will be paying Caleb Williiams almost per gane when this thing gets built.

Bryan Ramos Traded To Orioles
JR likes cash considerations even more than David Eckstein.

I wonder where the down on their luck Reinsdorfs, who need the state to build them another baseball park, are coming up with their share of the $7 billion 1901 project cost.

I did a combo. Got a Ronald Belisario jersey for $20 at a season ticketholder event several years ago. Definitely a legend AND a one off.

Plenty of organizations do OK without money, and plenty don't. White Sox problem is they just hired familiarity and not someone who has been exposed to and is capable of putting together a team without much money. JR wasn't going to go down that path again. He did with Himes, and didn't like Larry because Larry wanted JR to stay out of his way. He built a 94 win team with the lowest payroll in baseball and got fired because JR couldn't take credit for any of the acquisitions.

If the Mets signed Tucker or Bellinger, they would have DFA'd Acuna.

i hope it all works out, but is there a prospect now that was as highly ranked as Moncada and Eloy and Kopech, and Cease and Robert? that didn' work out. Hopefully this one does, but i have my doubts.

White Sox are dead last in baseball in revenue/payroll percentage
As much as they tell you they make no money, they wouldn't keep being sold for billions if they were losers. The fact is, when a team is owned by a publicly traded company, like the Packers and now Braves, and they have to be truthful, they make a rather large profit.

The Bulls have to be fairly close. Their goal is NBA hell.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
There was a huge question and Getz just admitted it. He's going to get active now becuase he has money to spend. Why, because Robert is gone. If they knew he would be gone, they could have become active long ago.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
I think if Tucker signed with the Mets, the Mets wouldn't have traded for Robert. Now what other team would have taken even $18 million of his contract? Chances are, whoever they get from here on out this offseason, there will be some wastes of money.

I understand that. My point is the option shouldn't have been picked up in the first place. Sure, they would have $2 million less in their checking account, but if they now can spend money, a far larger pool of players to target, and not having to worry about dumping the contract, would have been available this winter. And Getz wouldn't have had to lie to White Sox fans about the team's desire to have Robert patrolling CF in 2026.
