  1. Exactly. It wasn’t too long ago Rick Hahn was the guy with all the correct answers and everything bad was someone else’s fault. Now no team will touch him.
  2. I am being serious, that is something to be proud of.
  3. The good news is they will be wearing jersey so you will be able to tell who the hell most of them are.
  4. If you want to give the assistant pitching coach credit for all of their successes why are we not blaming the White Sox current assistant pitching coach for the performances that got the guy above him fired? I hope he’s good, but face it, no one on this board has any idea, good or bad.
  5. I know they said they would, but I'm surprised they actually picked this up.
  6. I've pointed this out before. It's been several times. I also like how he calls a pop up to the SS a flly ball. Technically I guess it is, but nobody refers to it that way in professional baseball except him.
  7. Yeah, it probably the White Sox who say the Schriff has to take a break. I know I like the broadcast better. McKnight might not be the greatest but at least he gives the audience some credit for having a clue as to what is going on.
  8. Yeah, it’s pretty hopeless from a payroll perspective for a while. I just hope none of main guys goes backwards, although there is a decent chance a someone will.
  9. 2020 was fun but it was 60 games you couldn’t attend, and they expanded playoffs participants. If they played 162 , considering they were already down to 2 starters, it’s questionable if they would have been .500. So a huge asterisk for that one. But quickly run out of the playoffs both years, and almost didn’t even try to improve in 2022.
  10. There is some economic reason for the state to provide some funding for new stadiums. The players get taxed for games they play here. Obviously if they went to another state, that would be gone. But it’s not enough to give them stadium. Infrastructure, sure.
  11. Not hearing much about replacements. Usually if they like you but get rid of you, they have a pretty good idea who the replacement will be. They obviously felt they needed to move on from these guys. I obviously know nothing about the particulars, but for some reason don’t think anyone they let go will come back to haunt them.
  12. I'm sure what you write is accurate. To him the WS only showed him how he knew more than anyone else. If you remember, he and Krause couldn't wait for the Jordan era to end so they could show it wasn't MJ, it was them. And his baseball is still the same. He's had one way to do things, and what worked in the 80s doesn't work anymore, at least long term. So we are just stuck waiting for his reign of terror to end.
  13. I don’t think he’s always been the worst owner. He was at least average for years. But he is horrible now for sure with both teams. Probably is as bad as there is.
  14. They are $1 million to $1.5 million free agent signings. The league knows they suck.
  15. If your job hinged on these guys being successful, it's pretty much guaranteed you will need a resume.
  16. They can’t draft any higher than 10th in 2027 most likely, so they should at least try to put something together that is not embarrassing.
  17. He’s the hottest minor league pitching coach candidate the world has ever seen. The White Sox beat everyone out because this guy wants to work with the great Chris Getz. Just ask Westeddy.
  18. LaRussa's WS team won 83 games. 83 seems like a lot with all the celebrating you do for 60. Not only that, knock fans who think 60 wins really sucks.
  19. But this, your next post, did: You would have argued with it, anyway. Sure, Francona was more coveted than Venable.
  20. Really? There were 3 openings last offseason. He was the second hired. The first one was Terry Francona. I think he's probably a better manager than Wil Venable. Not only that, but they only had to beat out the Marlins.
  21. It would have been a bigger win if he just non tendered him to begin with.
  22. I always like Naylor as a player, and finding out he stole 30 bases with the 2nd slowest sprint speed in MLB, made me appreciate him even more, but there is no way that body ages well.
  23. Apparently the 2026 draft has a no brainer #1 pick. It's time the lottery goes their way
  24. He's trying to go full NFL model. I'm sure he knows it won't happen.
