  1. Was he better than you thought he would be? Did they fix him?
  2. Slater was league average with a .299 OBP. Thaiss was alright but it was all based on walks. Vaughn improved significantly when he went elsewhere. Tyalor, Rojas, Palacios, Mead, Amaya, Maton ,Noda, Dalbec, Jankowski were just as awful or more awful than they ever were.
  3. Interesting, but who did they fix? Pretty much everyone they brought in , except maybe Tauchman, did exactly as poor or worse than ever, and Tauchman was such a revaluation the Sox didn't even tender him a contract.
  4. Which makes the case they gave him what he wanted last time, and he screwed up. Why at 90 years old would anyone think he can now get it right? Maybe Indiana will want them.
  5. Probably like a 70s porn star with that mustache.
  6. Hopefully he can be what he was the first time. Probably won't, but even if he does, his awfulness last year will keep his flip price really low.
  7. Until Michael Jordan, the Bulls were the White Sox, drawing well when they were good, and drawing flies when they were not. Now they are the Cubs. As mediocre as can be, but still at or near the top in attendance even with ridiculous ticket prices. Maybe that happens to the White Sox once day, but the problem is JR. If you think the park is part of the problem, it was built how he wanted it, blue seats and all. It's far superior now that it was back then.
  8. Just once Id like to be a fan of a team that spends money recklessly.
  9. Winning the draft lottery is probably the best thing that has happened for the team since 2005. Maybe drafting Sale was just as good, but they did nothing with it. When Roche is in his prime, JR won't be around to f*** it op.
  10. https://www.lowermytaxes.com/blog/village-of-arlington-heights-and-taxing-districts-agree-to-tax-bill-with-bears/#:~:text=During the middle of December, the former Arlington International Racecourse.
  11. The Bears currently pay $3.6 million in property tax in AH. They are playing games trying to win over the public. When all developed, the tax on the entire development will probably be more than $100 million abd the Bears want everyone to focus on that even though they won't be owning the entire parcel when that happens. What they are crying about is basically about what they will be paying Caleb Williiams almost per gane when this thing gets built.
  12. JR likes cash considerations even more than David Eckstein.
  13. I wonder where the down on their luck Reinsdorfs, who need the state to build them another baseball park, are coming up with their share of the $7 billion 1901 project cost.
  14. Schriffen called Ramos a future star in 2024.
  15. I look way better than him in it. Mine is a road gray.
  16. I did a combo. Got a Ronald Belisario jersey for $20 at a season ticketholder event several years ago. Definitely a legend AND a one off.
  17. Plenty of organizations do OK without money, and plenty don't. White Sox problem is they just hired familiarity and not someone who has been exposed to and is capable of putting together a team without much money. JR wasn't going to go down that path again. He did with Himes, and didn't like Larry because Larry wanted JR to stay out of his way. He built a 94 win team with the lowest payroll in baseball and got fired because JR couldn't take credit for any of the acquisitions.
  18. If the Mets signed Tucker or Bellinger, they would have DFA'd Acuna.
  19. i hope it all works out, but is there a prospect now that was as highly ranked as Moncada and Eloy and Kopech, and Cease and Robert? that didn' work out. Hopefully this one does, but i have my doubts.
  20. Thanks Schriff.
  21. As much as they tell you they make no money, they wouldn't keep being sold for billions if they were losers. The fact is, when a team is owned by a publicly traded company, like the Packers and now Braves, and they have to be truthful, they make a rather large profit.
  22. Westeddy Schriffen told us they wanted nothing to do with anyone signed previously.
