  1. They were .500 in April. The first month they have been at least .500 since June of 2023.
  2. The reason people don't come isn't because it's Bridgeport. It's because JR doesn't know how to build a team that is supposed to win. A successful team with endless parking lots draws a ton of people 90 miles away. Ever been to Milwaukee?
  3. When he went to no command, he either was totally messed up mechanically, and you should be able to see that, or something was wrong physically. Hopefully, they get this cleared up and he gets back to what he was.
  4. That's exactly right. Even though the area is safer than it's ever been. The easiest stadium for the masses to get to in the city, JR can't admit the reason people dont show up is his fault. Nope, it's the neighborhood.
  5. I read the average time lost with a flexor brain is 117 days and 20% of the time, leads to TJS. So I would say this sucks
  6. Knee and arm issues, and is kind of an odd guy. The other injury risk the Sox acrually maxed the value was Crochet. He was always hurt, then miraculously was great as a starter for about half a season, while just getting through the second half. Got a haul for him, had a great year, but now hurrt again, and probably not the same moving forward, but he got $170 million.
  7. But it's the White Sox. If they are ready to be competitive and aggressive with their offer, then fine. If they are hoping for a discount, quit fooling themselves. Trade him for a haul.
  8. They are all going to be sitting. There is no way they play tonight.
  9. Stone tells everyone how great the food is, yet there is about 2 menu items he would eat. If the team didn't like how Jason ate, why didn't they stop the promo? The downgrade to Schriff is like firing Terry Francona and replacing him with Pedro Grifol.
  10. Spanky needs a lot of work on his stroke. Maybe he will go to Charlotte.
  11. I think we aren’t too far from the Sox having to be honest with themselves. Who knows if next season gets played. Everyone is looking for power. They need to determine if they are going to be in the ballpark when he can get offers from other teams. If not, they should consider trading him. If they could get a Crochet like package, as much of bummer it would be to see him leave, that’s 3 or 4 really good prospects acquired just because other teams weren’t sure he could play. That’s a big win.
  12. So you're saying he wasn't a waste of money?
  13. I don't know anything about this new guy, but he has to be better than Sims. They wouldn't even walk guys to get to a pitcher because they were scared.
  14. I wonder if anyone else ever got to 10 career homers before he hit a double. It's been incredible.
  15. After all, you can't waste a year.
  16. I love the clueless spin. Billy is such a good person, he thought more of the Bulls than himself so he walked away, but last week it was ownership wanted him, and anyone who didn't wasn't right for the job. The team will never have a long run again unless they get sold because good teams with long runs get paid way beyond the luxury tax threshold the Reinsdorfs avoid, even with the best attendance in the league.
  17. The more they talk about not doing the right thing yesterday, the worse it looks.
  18. One inning in and the Schriff doesn’t know the score.
  19. If the pitcher was on deck, he would have walked him. I don’t think he or the miraculously put together staff bothered looking farther ahead. Spectacularly bad managerial decision. Fits right in with the rest of what has been going on.
  20. You read the same crap about Chris Getz because the same crap keeps happening.
  21. He would be pitching to a pitcher.
  22. If they had no more bats on their bench, this is a fireable offense.
  23. I think it's 90 years, which is longer than the White Sox World Series drought when they won in 2005.
  24. Chris Getz was miraculously able to hire a couple of hitting gurus. All is well.
  25. Just wait until this years swing change.
