Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
Of course. Plus, if they couldn’t get anything they wanted for him then, why would they get anything they wanted for him now with yet another injury? The only way they come out ahead is if he stays healthy and plays his ass off until the next trade deadline. He has the ability to do that, but it’s crazy to bet $20 million on it when $20 million to the White Sox seems a lot more than it does for most teams.

Robert Thread: Sox talking to Reds, Mets
If anyone thought the White Sox would pay money to trade Robert when they just. Outdid have let him go for nothing, haven’t paid attention. That JR won’t kick in money is not news.

2025 Rule 5 Thread
When you develop a 0.0 WAR player and call that developing a player, you need different people developing players. But of course I find 100+ loss seasons failure.

2025 Rule 5 Thread
Coming from a guy who said Seby Zavala a guy who has the same career bWAR as me ,was a Getz win, while at the same time saying Getz had nothing to do with any other prospect failure is pretty funny. Now you think the rule 5 is a solid way to build a team.? I’m sure you are kidding.

2025 Rule 5 Thread
Building your team through Rule 5 draft picks is a way to always draft in the top 10. The Sox did great in the rule 5 last year with the pick and the trade. Expecting anything close to that in the next decade would be ridiculous.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
i don't think there is anyone they could trade who they would be willing to trade, except for maybe Quero, who could make anyone really think they improved the team much. They aren't going to spend much on a free agent, so little help there, winning the top pick is about as impactful of a move they could have made this offseason.

White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
This is the best news they could have received from these meetings. I do question Getz referring to it as an honor. Dude, it pretty much means your team really sucks.

Official NBA 25-26 Thread
It does seem hard to believe, but Giannis always had a hard on for the Bulls, and this could have happened when they were 5-0 and the darlings of the league. Then reality hit. How the Reinsdorfs have rewarded the people that still show up to watch this team lose is sickening. It shows you just how little chance the White Sox would have of sustained winning even if their fans were like Cubs fans and showed up no matter what.

Chicago White Sox's Offseason FA Signings Trades Megathread
I just read an article where a GM said this years meetings will probably be boring. Welcome to the world of a White Sox fan.

$$$$$$Money
These guys spend so much money on teams, yet they claim they can’t make any money so they don’t even try to compete, and refuse to sell. Something doesn’t add up. Accounting tricks help them cry poor. Mark Cuban had to say he only made a profit 2 seasons with the Mavs, because that is what the tax returns say and he knows the current administration would love to charge him with something.

According to Lou Cannelis, the Greek Freak is interested in becoming a Bull. The Bulls are not interested in him.

White Sox sign Anthony Kay to 2Y/12M deal
They better hire some Temps in the ticket office.

I'm like Rick Hahn, I'd just be happy to get a seat at any table.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
If Reinsdorf is in charge until 2029, he won’t be part of one when he gets the White Sox unless he lasts as long as as Jerry.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I've seen 2 developers, a politician, and Our Chuck just mentioned it the other day, but said he was then told it could work.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
A lot of people in the know don't think 2 stadiums on the 78 is feasable from a space perspective, especially with all the add ons requred for a new place today.

White Sox add Tanner McDougal and Duncan Davitt to 40-man, Fraser Ellard on voluntary retired list
Matt Wise was both. Assistant pitching coach is always out in bullpen. Hassler was out there for years. I suspect coaching changes are based on their contracts expiring. Not expiring, not fired. Expiring, possibl3 firing.

Wasn’t Bove an assistant pitching coach? If he just warmed people up, why ar people excited about him?
