  1. If you only were half as smart as you think. Root for minor leaguers. I hope the guy is a star, but again, with these guys, it isn’t going to happen. Instead of being blind, get a clue. Learn from what you have seen. It’s history repeating itself. When the Powerball gets to a billion, I buy a ticket. It’s a waste of money. Some people buys hundreds of dollars of tickets. That’s what you are with this regime.
  2. It’s really just an awful thing for White Sox fans to complain about the state of the franchise. If the taxpayers did JR right, they would build him a new $2 billion stadium so he could make enough money to compete. But because they won’t, he’s just going to have to fly his private jet down to Nashville to see if he can get a better deal.
  3. He even tried to spin the Maldonado signing. Hes drunk on the Getz Kool aid. And it’s OK to be overwhelmed, his words , at the trade deadline, when all you have is the teams future at stake.
  4. Seriously I did a 10 second Google search. And the fact is JR has more than 80k of my money, but I’m fine with it.as I said, when I was spending money on the team, I enjoyed attending the games. But I’m glad you are holding out hope a guy with a .174 carrier average in high A who apparently has a bad attitude to boot maybe, possibly, perhaps….can be the future CF for the next 121 loss White Sox team even though you have never seen him play, and those who have and get paid to evaluate, say he can’t. And why do you “think” that? Why Chris Getz of course.
  5. Has Chris Getz made any mistakes ?
  6. I enjoyed going to games. When that stopped, I didn’t go anymore. You can’t think for yourself. You leave that up to Chris Getz.
  7. I liked him a lot when hired,. He won his press conference. but it wasn’t prolonged. I knew 20 games in, he was a bad hire.
  8. Now you do. Here’s Law last year befor the Sox acquired him His defense took a step back last year and he is all but certain to end up in a corner. Scouts commented on a lack of focus on defense and even sometimes in the box as well
  9. Your love for players nobody wants is pretty hysterical.
  10. Scouts have questioned how he acts on the field for two years now, citing low energy and pouting behavior, which really has to stop now — he’s 20, not a child, and he’s going to mope his way out of baseball. He was a top-100 guy before but at this point he’s barely a prospect. There jury may be out, but they seem to be coming back soon. A ball and you have these issues? Anything from him at this point is gravy, and a feather in your boys cap. Why can’t the Sox acquire guys who at least seem to like playing baseball?
  11. People were excited after his debut. Was considered a top 55 prospect. The next year he went to high A. Was just as young or slightly younger for the level as Zavala. Didn’t walk as much, but had more power and hit .176.
  12. It’s still .174. I made the same argument about Courtney Hawkins years ago. Got a few of the same comments you just gave. I get being young, but it’s 500 plate appearances. The ones who make it adjust. In A ball he was the same age deficit and did much better. It will be a miracle if he ever makes the major leagues let alone contributes to winning.
  13. My mistake then. But to me, the Cease deal is down to Thorpe and Iriarte. I know people will still have some hope for Zavala, he was what I was most excited about when the trade was made, but while it’s probably occurred, the odds of a guy with a .174 average in high A with over 500 plate appearances being a productive major leaguer, are probably similar to White Sox playoff odds.
  14. You, yourself, when the trade was made, said it was a piece short. So when any of the pieces fail, it’s a bigger deal.
  15. For a long time too. When Maggs left, when the Big Hurt left, Jermaine Dye.... almost every time a guy who contributed a lot to the organization left, they trashed him.
  16. Someone is probably going to have to go into debt to pay the tax bill. It's hard to imagine they aren't prepared for this though. 102. But if there ever was someone who may be unprepared, it would be the McCaskeys. I read somewhere Pat Ryan has a right of first refusal to buy the shares. But he has to be pushing 90 himself.
  17. They have said they have a plan to continue, but that family tries to screw each other out of everything. Our luck, it will mean very little, but there is some hope.
  18. Now the fun begins. Her stake is divided up between a lot of McCaskeys and they are going to get hit with a huge bill from Uncle Sam. Do enough sell and take the money to rid us of this awfulness forever?
  19. The one positive, is if you got this and went to all the games, that's 27 games you don't have to hear Schriffen.
  20. You will get stuck there Opening Day, but they will probably have it closed most games.
  21. Ballpark Pass is back. They must really be at the bottom. $125 for all home games in March, April and May.
  22. Several years ago, season ticketholders did get to take batting practice. I get emails almost daily because I used to have tickets. They recently stated I have a credit in my account to try to get me to respond.
